Do not rent from Budget. If you have an accident they will lose the vehicle and then charge you for the time it was lost even though they repeatedly say everything is being taken care of.

They will switch your place of pickup and not tell you until your at the office to pick-up your rental. The greenwood Mgr will yell at you and throw stuff if you taketrll him that you want to do a walk around inspection.

Zero stars. The man who works in this location should be let go. This location should be shut down. We had a pickup at 1 pm on July 6. The location was closed. We had to call and the customer service cancelled the reservation and created a new booking for us. I had to pay 15 usd more and also drive 45 miles to pick up a car from a different location. I had a flight to catch the next day at Chicago.As part of the booking I asked for all applicable insurance. Guess what they just gave me ldw insurance. I went to the location 45 miles down and IAsked what does it cover they said it covers everything. Guess what didn't bother to explain missing coverage. Then when I rear ended , now they say oh sorry you didn't take the liability insurance. When call customer service about anything they can't do anything. Go to the location or figure yourself out. Worst rental company staffed with college kids who don't give a damn. Never rent fromAvis orBudget . Period. I shouldn't be made responsible for insurance misinformation. I want Avis to own it. If their staff are not willing to give accurate information then you shouldn't be held responsible

Horrible experience. Prepaid for a vehicle and when I got there, there was no employee . I even waited a good long while and nobody. The Walmart employees said it’d been like that for 2wks. Nobody would answer the phone and all customer service could do is cancel and refund me. I ended up going driving to Louisville because all the other rental car companies were out of cars. Never again!

Never take budget car rental especially from this location dropoff, charges are incorrect and no staff will during office hours and even customer care don't have idea on resolving issue. I felt this location specially itis not eligible for 1 star even. I will suggest don't opt this location for pickup or dropoff, even walmart staff saying they never seen for 2 weeks someone workshere horrible

Don't ever rent from Avis Car Rental or Budget Car Rental. When we rented the last car from Budget, the car was filthy inside, trash on the floor and as soon as we turned the car on, a message came on that all the tires were low. Next my son made arrangements with them over the weekend at the store in Walmart in Columbus, Indiana. The person did not show up so my son could pick up the car; he called the national line and was told there was nothing they could do; and now when he files a formal complaint, they want to charge him for the vehicle since he didn't pick it up. You can't pick up something if they are not open. The workers at Walmart stated the person who operates Avis/Budget never came in on Saturday.I would not recommend Avis or Budget to anyone. They have no customer service. I had to give them one star just to be able to post this complaint.

One hour before my reservation they send an email about this location suddenly being closed and my reservation is now at a location 45 minutes away... I wouldn't do business here again.

Terrible customer service at the Columbus Indiana location inside Walmart at 735 Whitfield Drive. The person who checked me in and out was very unprofessional. He wasn’t present when I came to drop off the vehicle and claimed to be at the car wash. Said he would return in less than five minutes and that I could put the key in the lock box or I could wait for him to arrive. I chose to wait since this location is inside wal mart. About 10-15 minutes later I rerturned to the counter and the employee was on the phone and would not acknowledge me for a minimum of 10 minutes. By this time my ride had arrived and couldn’t wait any longer to pick me up and so I wrote on a piece of paper “I can no longer wait, please email me my receipt” and wrote my email address and attempted to hand the keys and the note to him. He still refused to acknowledge me so I said, I can’t wait any longer, my ride is here to pick me up. Please email my receipt. When he did email my receipt an hour later it was close to $40 more than the amount I was given when I selected pay now on the website. When I called the employee again he started that he was again, at the car wash and would have to look and call me back. 4 hours later I still hadn’t heard from him so I called him again. He said he was very busy and may have to take care of it tomorrow. I said please let me know what you find out as soon as possible. He called me back 5 minutes later and said the charge was due to me returning the vehicle late. I reminded him that I called him at the return time because he wasn’t at the location and that he gave me two options and I chose to wait and that he was rude by wasting my time and not acknowledging me when I returned. He said that if I would have placed my keys in the drop box it would have been no charge but since I chose to wait and didn’t wait for him to finish his phone call that I was to be charged for the extra hour. I said, you can’t charge me for that! He said I’m not, budget is. Take it up with them and hung up on me.

Take lot of time to handle each customer. It's like a one man show. Probably they have some hidden charges too at the time of final billing

Absolute worst. Not this branch but Budget in general. Left me stranded and I still have not heard back. I picked up my rental car from the Denver airport for the weekend as I had work in Colorado. The car they put me in smelled heavily of bleach and had less than 1/4 tank of gas. After arriving at my destination the car would not start again. I had put gas in it and the battery was not left on, nothing was charged in the car. It sounded like a the starter was bad. I called Roadside Service and stood in the sun for 3.5 hours waiting for help. The car was jumped and he recommended I get another car. So I drove it straight to the closest Budget, as I was instructed to do by Budget Customer Service to trade in the car. I got there shut the car off and then was told they had no cars for me. And then they locked up and left. So I got back in my original car and it would not start again. I called customer service again. Their solution was for me to call roadside service again. Apparently they felt that calling Roadside service and waiting three hours every time I needed the car started was a reasonable solution. Be aware that I receive each bill from that service, not Budget. Budget Customer Service kept telling me that I had no choice but to drive the undriveable car to the Denver Airport, an hour away, to exchange it. I was on the phone with Budget for 5 hours and never got help. I was hung up on, disconnected and repeatedly told I had to drive the car that would not start back to the airport. I had to leave the car at the Budget in Boulder while being warned that this was "abandoning" the car. They had absolutely no issue with abandoning a human but threatened me over "abandoning" their car at a different Budget. I was left to find my own transportation for 2 days. I missed an entire day of working and had to pay for Lyft's everywhere I went. I have still not heard a work back from anyone and I was charged for the full rental period. Also, I was warned by the person at the other Budget that they marked my car as having a full tank of gas at pick up. He said they routinely do that and then charge for a full tank at return. I have no idea how they will handle this but I will update this review when or if I get a response. *Update* Their response was to charge me more money. $218 for another jump so they could drive the car back to the airport. Likely to rent it out to another innocent person. It's odd because when I called the number they gave me for a jump it was $26. They have threatened to charge me even more money if I keep complaining. Since they have access to my credit card I know they won't hesitate to charge me again.

Still waiting after 2hrs for a car. One person working. Budget is obviously not concerned with customers. This will be the last time I rent through budget.

In the past I had some problems with budget, but everything was solved when Erick took over this branch, I have rented several cars and I have not had any problems, I definitely recommend it

I have not received a receipt from the company. I also have a $222 additional charge with no explanation. I have called multiple times with the promise of a return call but have not received one. Very unhappy.
