I was on the lookout for a new car, admittedly without knowing exactly what I wanted. I decided to give our local dealerships a try, and my first—and last—stop was here. From the very first experience, I could tell that the folks at Royal South Mazda Volvo are incredibly friendly. Jasper and Ryan were just great, but Dan was a lifesaver, answering all my questions and going above and beyond to ensure that I made a confident purchase within my budget. I rarely post reviews, but I simply cannot recommend this dealership enough. I’ll never forget what Dan told me: ‘I’m here to empower people.’ He certainly delivered on that.

I'm a 1st time Volvo owner. The first 3 years of ownership, I ran into some problems with the service dept at my local Evansville,
IN dealership. About a year ago I started driving to the Royal South Mazda Volvo dealership in Bloomington, IN. The service department at Royal Volvo is top notch. They are competent, friendly and easy to schedule with. They even welcome my dog in the check-in area and bring him a bowl of water in the waiting lounge. The parts department is also competent and last year helped me save a lot of money when I purchased a car-top carrier from them. I highly recommend Royal Volvo for service and parts. It is definitely worth the drive!

Royal has been absolutely amazing to work with. Unfortunately I didn’t buy my current vehicle with them (though I will in the future for sure) their service has been outstanding. I had issues with a different dealership and Royal has been able to help me get everything resolved. I will only use Royal Mazda going forward, they have been nothing but fantastic.

Leased my latest Volvo from Royal South Mazda and worked closely with salesman Jasper Conrad who provided excellent service throughout the transaction. The entire staff is knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Tony, the Service Manager, is also always very helpful, explaining requirements in detail. I had expected this through my 12 years of fine experience with my previous cars at this dealership.

My wife and I worked with Jasper, John, Ryan, and Ed from the Toyota dealership in early April to purchase a CX-50. These guys were great! They were responsive, weren't pushy, and were super respectful of our situation and budget (didn't try to upsell us).
We love the car so far and have made another trip down to have them put a ceramic coating on it. Keep it up Royal and you've got yourselves a family of customers for life.

I purchased my Volvo in Evansville, but recently the local Evansville dealership stopped selling and servicing Volvos at the end of 2023, so Bloomington is the closest dealership. To say I was upset at the thought of an almost 2 hour trip that is in a different time zone was an understatement. When my car wouldn't start this past Monday, I was panicked. Luckily with my warranty, Volvo covered the expense of the tow to Bloomington. I called to schedule service with Royal Mazda Volvo and spoke with Stu. The soonest I could get scheduled was over a week out. Since my car would not start, I had it towed right away since it was not doing me any good if I could not drive it. I figured it would just be there already for my scheduled day and time. Wednesday morning Stu called to tell me the diagnosis as they were able to squeeze it in to diagnosis the problem. He said they would order the part. Still thinking that I would not get my car back for over a week, I thanked him for the update. To my suprise, Stu called me that same afternoon to let me know that my car was fixed and ready to go (they happened to have the part I needed in stock). I was shocked that it was fixed so quickly. He even went out of his way to arrange a way for me to get my car picked up after I got off work at 5pm CST, when they close at 6:30 EST, with an almost 2 hour trip for me to get there. Stu and the service department at Royal Mazda Volvo, exceeded my expectations. Less than 72 hrs of realizing my car would not start, I was pulling it back into driveway. They definitely eased my anxiety of having to travel that distance for service. Keep up the good work!!!

After purchase, my Volvo xc60 had several things wrong with it. They didn't care as long as they got it off their lot, after several attempts to see if I could get some kind of help or compensation for issues with vehicle that they never discussed with the issues no response.

I didn’t purchase a vehicle through them but I ordered some OEM parts for my Volvo from them. Called me back multiple times to make sure I had what I needed and they were extremely polite.

The parts area was able to find the light bulb I needed for my Mazda. The price was outrageous. I was going to walk away but he was able to discount it when I started to leave.

My research brought me to Royal South for my first Mazda. We bought a 2023 Mazda CX-5 in April from Jasper. It rides so smoothly for an SUV. It's quiet engine is incredible and gas efficiency is a plus. We had it serviced before we took a trip and the service department was top notch. Tim gave us a great deal and Ryan made the paper work of buying thorough, but simple. In fact, the team impressed us so much that we returned in November to buy a used CX-5! Dan informed us about the background of the car since it had belonged to a friend of his. We felt lucky to know about the car since we were buying used this time. Again, Tim and Ryan were professional and helpful in a friendly way. All in all, the Royal South team is a 5 star business with a hometown feel.
