“Was in the area for a few days and dropped in at Hoosier CrossFit. If you are looking to get started in CrossFit, a new box to train at or just dropping in like I did. I highly recommend checking out Hoosier CrossFit! I will definitely be dropping back in the next time I’m in the Bloomington area. Thank you to Shaun, Erin, and Coach Randi for welcoming me in and treating me like family!”

“I am a happy satisfied client of Kai who has patiently trained me for 2 years beginning at Bloomington College Mall. I began attending this new AF Elletsville in past month where my trainer Kai is located. I have been going to gyms now over 10 years and this is the best gym yet in a totally new building with all new updated fitness equipment and restrooms. Very modern and clean with a welcoming staff. It is not crowded and I have an easy choice of training equipment. I have now lost 40 lb and gained muscle tone and strength from Kai’s workouts. Even other clients notice my new physique and say how they are impressed with my body changes. I must say I am enjoying AF for their encouragement and Kai’s personal, flexible approach to fitness. “First actual gym I joined!! Much better then planet fitness. They actually have weight scales here. I am a big guy, they actually gave me good instructions on workouts and what to focus on to target weight loss. Also has a good selection of work out foods and drinks, staff is friendly and I find the gym most excellent.”

“Ethos is awesome! The instructors are unmatched -- they go above and beyond to create a real community -- making it a rare gem compared to the all the big box / chain / impersonal options out there. The hybrid options (choose between in-person or online) are a life-saver for those of us who can't always make it in to the physical location. Highly recommend!”

“I did the 6 week program and loved it! Devin was such a great coach and a wonderful mentor! The classes were such a positive environment and had music bumping! I never felt embarrassed or nervous like I do at other gyms! I noticed so much progress in my body composition these 6 weeks that I didn’t even know was possible. I loved the circuit style workouts and how there was always an emphasis on form. My knee started to hurt part of the way through the challenge and they were super accommodating. They never wanted me to push through the pain, and always gave me alternative exercises. Sending my meals into my nutrition coach really helped me stay on track. Everyone was so nice and encouraging! This is definitely a program that I recommend! 10/10!”

“I cannot say enough positive things about the wonderful coaching staff, studio assistants, owners, and community members that make up Orangetheory Fitness in Bloomington!I started two years ago as someone who had never exercised regularly, and now I go 4-5 days a week! I'm in the strongest, fittest shape of my life, but still motivated to see what more my body can do! Regardless of skill/fitness level, you're guaranteed to get a good workout. The Bloomington OTF community is one of my favorite things to be a part of, and the best thing I ever said "Yes!" to trying!”

“Very nice place to become healthier physically and mentally. The instructor is very kind, knowledgeable and support in your journey to health. I love the flexibility of the classes. You don't pay a monthly fee and have to go so many times to make it work your monthly membership fee or to stay in program. You can pay for single class or pay for a small session of classes of your choosing. Six class card, or ten or 12. Depending how many times you want to go that session, which is usually a month or two.”

“I went this morning, and it’s amazing! My home gym is in Ohio, and much smaller. Dish anytime fitness it’s a lot cleaner and bigger than my home gym.The weights are interesting, but I like them . This has a dedicated dead lift station, which I certainly like.I went this morning around 630 and it wasn’t very busy. I would definitely come back and visit this gym when in town.”

“My daughter is in her fourth year at RE. The staff at the gym have been so welcoming and wonderful! I felt intimidated going into travel Allstar cheer, but Angie has done a phenomenal job with communicating and organization. My daughter has loved every bit of her time at the gym and has come out of her shell quite a bit. It’s also been a bonding experience for us as mother and daughter: the long weekends traveling out of town, the emotions surrounding competitions, the time doing hair and makeup together, and I’ll never forget all the times standing in front of the stage cheering her on as she puts her heart into something she loves. If you are considering this sport/gym for your kid, I encourage you to go for it! I’m sure you will love it as we have.”

“I'm thinking that we should have a diving swimming pool that's deeper than 9 foot like a big enough swimming pool that's 15 foot deep swimming pool! Would that be possible for the YMCA to expand so it can have a swimming pool that's big enough that we can swim in and deeper like 15 foot deep or more so we can dive and swim in that deeper swimming pool! I would love to swim in a swimming pool that's 15 foot deep or maybe even a little deeper than that like 18 foot deep just like Counsilman Billingsley Aquatic Center has it in Indiana University so we can play tag, Marco Polo, play with dive rings and tread water and talk if that's possible! Would that be possible?”

“Nice workout space, lots of machines and space, walking track was not too busy and all the employees were cheerful and helpful. Open to the public $10 per day. Closed for the summer but they have another facility on campus that is open.”

“My grandkids took swim lessons out of town, water was "too deep" for them. The 5 year old was anxious. Here at the Y, they were having such an amazing time. Water level was perfect to build confidence. I'm definitely going to have to bring them back.”

“Great place to swim and workout. This is the place to go on a Saturday and Sunday during the winter time with your kids. You can't get them out of the pool.”

“The best Planet Fitness I’ve been to. Very clean and well organized layout. Lots of equipment, which all appeared to be the newer machines. This location is actually 24hrs. Wish the Indy locations were as good as this one.”
