Awful - Jonathan Tores When I politely explained that I couldn't afford to pay for their publishing deal (And that theirs was the most expensive I'd gotten) he told me I'd never get published and hung up on me. Then I called another employee and told them what happened, she just tried to get me to do a deal with them too. Their customer service man I got through to was seemingly so fed up of his job. I got told Id be contacted by their manager to make my complaint - I haven't. I've scorched their 'reputation' online and got a response saying they'll deal with his manager, but ultimately this entire company is one big scam. Do not do it!!!!

I want to save everybody the same headache and hassle that I had to go through! Please be aware that this company is a scam!! They will self-publish your book for thousands of dollars and then you will not hear from them again especially when you are owed royalties. Every time the quarterly royalties are supposed to be paid out, there's always another excuses to why it didn't go through. Please please PLEASE do your research before signing on with them!!!!!!

I have self-published five books with Trafford Publishing and four books with Xlibris. I started in **************************** 2022. They both are under Author Solutions. My books with Trafford are: Ill Wait; How to Survive on a Little; (Poetry) Thoughts Feelings Visions Memories;**** Most Dangerous Mission (Sequel to Ill Wait) and (Poetry) Thoughts of Mind.My books with Xlibris are: Love Has No Color; A Girl Named *****(A Miracle for *****); who Did It?(Mystery); The Pirates Who Found ***********I am very satisfied with all of my books. They were printed relatively fast. They printed them the way I instructed and I am very happy. The only problem is I believed they were priced too high which has hindered sales but I have sold quite a few. The written reviews are off the wall. Most people (strangers) have bought at least two of my books and one lady bought six. I am HAPPY!

They are selling my book on Amazon w/ o my permission and not giving me any royalties. Was told by the BBB years ago to stop selling my book. Now the are also going by the name ARCHWAY. Same address. I ordered my own book from Amazon to see if they where still selling my book. And yes they are. I will be contacting my Atty. Soon.

Not good, and they can't distinguish between a non-fiction book and a fiction book. They have the I don't give a damn attitude. Not even an apology for their screw-ups. I am quickly changing companies before the roof caves in. I will not recommend this publishing company. Hell, they are even holding my Royalties. I am with a company now that has guarantees. Not with a company that gives you a bad experience. DH

The worst experience! Please do not use their services! I set up an agreement to create a book that I already had the illustrations created for and the entire project completed. I was expecting them to "publish" my book as outlined in the agreement. In the agreement it clearly states I was to get sample books and have the ability to approve the project which neither was done. I did not get the sample books and they proceeded to publish my book and even made changes without my approval. The book was published with changes that were not approved and even had many "blank" pages. I found out they published the book after inquiring about blank pages I seen in a draft sent to me. They told me that I would have to have it removed from publication and sent back to a different department which was going to cost additional money. I included a picture of their cancellation policy which clearly states the terms and they are withholding my refund. I had the book published and created with Amazon just as planned without the headache and extra aggravation. Please stay away!

Author House guaranteed I would receive 3000 printed book by Thanksgiving. They did not arrive. When I complained, they said they made no guarantee and they don't make delivery guarantees. I would not have ordered 3000 books without a shipment guarantee. This is illegal! Federal Trade Commission- when you make a purchase, Author House must send you a document specifying date of delivery and if they can't guarantee shipment date they must make this clear in writing. And if delivery will arrive late, they must ask you if you still want it and offer a full refund. Author House has illegal business practices. Report them to the FTC. I did. With enough reports they will do an investigation.

When I first signed up with AuthorHouse, I was excited to have a way to publish my book. Once AuthorHouse finally published it, I was even more excited. I had my published book in hand! But then I realized that I was only getting 10% of the royalties; that means that 90%...ninety percent!!...of the royalties were going elsewhere. I was also bombarded by sales calls for marketing services that I didn't ask for or want; $19,000 to send my manuscript to Hollywood producers so my book had the probably slim chance of becoming a movie? No thanks. I messaged AuthorHouse yesterday to see why I never received my quarterly 10% royalties. It's been several months and I have yet to receive a dime...but I am still receiving sales calls about my next book! Yes, I'm working on another book...but I definitely won't be using AuthorHouse again. They were a learning experience that I don't wish to repeat.

I have been with Archway Publishing since 2013. I did have some issues in the beginning with communication. However, I was listened to and in one department I ended up with a new person that I worked well with. I have been pleased with the product. I have 2 books published with them and will be working with them. My royalties have been put in the bank. I want to own my material and this is why I took this route. You do need to promote your own book as well for sales. It is a learning process perhaps archway could have an informational video on what is expected from you the Author as well as what package best suits your desired outcomes.

They will promise you sacks of gold and fame meanwhile they won't even read or proof read your book. Apparently no one bought my book even if it suppose to be available at the biggest cities in the world.Only one thing they care is how to take out from you as much dollars as they can for so called promotion offers, interviews etc. You speak with people from other part of globe definitely not American. Avoid at all costs. One big scam!

Had my book ready, with illustrations and one round of edits, and gave it to AH on a silver platter. The book turned out great (I had it ready before calling them). My concern is the marketing package I paid for; there is NO way to determine how many books sold on Amazon. AH told me afterwards when I called to inquire how many books sold - "We don't guarantee sales." You won't hear that until months later when you inquire about your royalties. Also, I left messages that went unreturned, and it was frustrating as I had recommended another author to use their service. It seems in today's world, there's got to be a more effective and transparent way to promote books that isn't shrouded in manipulation.

Don't publish with them. Multiple mistakes, bad customer service and the marketing is a ridiculously expensive scam.

I am devastated at the fact that you enter into a contract with what you believe to be a reputable company, and they steal from you. I was going to publish my book with AuthorHouse and I paid my deposit. Within 48 hours, I submitted a cancellation. I then received an email stating that I would receive my refund within 12-14 days. Then, today I received an email that states not only will they not refund my money but that I now owe them a balance. I am appalled at the fact that AuthorHouse can steal money from struggling writers, and we have no recourse. They are one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. I will continue to expose them on every platform and opportunity I get. I can not afford to have several hundred dollars stolen from me.
