After 11 years of being a customer, with no issues, this year was awful. Poor customer service (the lady didn’t even go through it line by line explaining what the numbers mean, how they got the total, why it’s less or more than last year, etc. and I felt rushed). I went early in the year SPECIFICALLY FOR THE REFUND ADVANCE. That they advertise mind you! I waited for 24 hours with no response from the bank. I knew something wasn’t right. I called the Angola office REPEATEDLY and just got the run around. They told me to call the bank so I did and the lady HADNT EVEN SUBMITTED MY ADVANCE APPLICATION!!! Finally after 9 days of no answers I called again and Kim the new manager said I can’t get my refund advance it can’t be redone. She also defended the agent that serviced me! I paid $390 to get my taxes done and she offered me $100 of it back! That’s not even half! What a slap in the face! Oh well they just lost a loyal customer and I will be calling corporate or the support team ASAP!!!

The Angola branch, as a whole have no clue their job. They lie and tell you whatever, to push you back. Charging for nothing. They claim to have spoke to the I.R.S. on your behalf, but I.R.S. says they haven't. I wonder who is lying. H&R Block is a scam and that kim lady is supposed to be, the only one really licensed at the branch. She doesn't do what she promises. When you call everyone is out of the office. Or "not on a regular schedule", the best business practices. I have been dealing with them since Feb. 8th. All lies and a run around. Horrible customer service. And the regional manager Todd Boldry doesn't do squat either. He won't even put his name on his voice mail. Another way to deny any liability. The regional manager down to Kacie good and all in-between. None do their jobs. Just charge and give a run around. Negative 47,000 stars. They are a Biden special, as a whole.

We have had a terrible experience with this H&R Block Branch. We worked with Kacey Good and she basically tried to get us to do our own taxes. As soon as we sat down she said, "you know you can do this yourself online." (Yes, we know. I typically do however for specific reasons we would like someone to do them for us in person). Then after she started she turned to my husband and I and said, "my son texted me and asked if I was getting home before dark."(Turning to look out the window where it was clearly dark out). Then after she "finished" our taxes she had us sign everything and we left.The price is astronomical for the poor quality of service.The best part, I found an error a couple days later when I had time to double check the paper work. (I am a new mom with a 2 month old at the time.) I called and had to wait for a call back. Finally, I got ahold of her and she said she would look into it. A week later I called back to get a status update. Kacey said, "we need to wait till you get your return to be able to make changes. Please let me know when you recieve it." Okay, a couple weeks later our return came it. I notified the office and Kacey was "out" again. Without a call back, I called another week later. At that time another person in the office answered because Kacey was unavailable again. They told me that she would call me back. That didn't happen. I had to call back. Go figure. Kacey then updated us that we needed to file a 1040X ammended tax return form.(Obviously) She from the background then proceeded to have another person to tell me that they had to wait for corporate to send the form. (Hard to believe in the digital age that we live in.) Another week goes by and I call again. Kacey is "out" but another representative said they were waiting for a software update so that they wouldnt have to do it manually. So I try to call H&R block corporate office to verify the story. Again TERRIBLE customer service. After an email and two hours on hold on two different occasions I am still waiting for a "call back" from their office. I discourage anyone from using H&R block to file their taxes and especially the Branch in Angola, IN. Specifically with the tax representative Kacey Good.

The price was a little ridiculous for 20 minutes worth of work. $330?? Not enough value for the product at that rate.
