Two weeks ago I brought my dog in for routine vaccinations, to discuss some minor health problems, and to run some routine blood work; Dr Jorgensen was fantastic. After bringing my dog home, she had a very negative reaction to the vaccine and had to be rushed to the emergency vet for treatment. I had an appointment scheduled to follow up today to look at an ear issue and also make sure she was fine after her trip to the ER. When arriving at the clinic for my scheduled and confirmed appointment, I was told that I was no longer on the schedule. The receptionist went in the back to ask Dr Clayton (the dr the appt was scheduled with) if she could look at my dog quickly I was immediately told that she "didn't have time." As I am sure there is more than just exams that go into a practice, I did notice there was not one other person in the waiting room. As this was not an error on my end, addressing this with me or looking my at my dog quickly would have given me the peace of mind I needed. I am unsure where the misunderstanding happened, but the dismissiveness was disheartening. To say this was unprofessional and discouraging is an understatement. I will be searching for another practice that cares about its patients and does the right thing.

I have selected a 5 . This is why, I move to the area about 5 years ago & I was looking for a veterinarian to take care of my wonderful dog Dolly. I wasn't sure about this new place but I was wrong. If u are looking for a veterinarian this would be the place to send your loved pet. They are very reasonable with prices, they also keep you updated on your pets vaccination's when due. In my case my dog was getting older & sick that my wife & I decided not to put her through her shots & other medical issues needed & they didn't push the issue also. All doctors & staff are A++. Our dog Dolly lived a long life. She was a beagle 17 years old. We didn't know what to do cuz my wife and I had to make a decision cuz dolly was very strong but not getting any better so we discussed with the doctor to help us decide what to do. the doctor said it can go on for a long time & she will not get any better. So we made decision to put Dolly down. The veterinarian made Dolly very comfortable for the procedure. We decided to have her cremated. We then got Dolly back home & she was in a wonderful mental box & they did her paw prints in a box also.My wife & I suggest this is the place to be. We will go back if decided to have another pet. Thank you again countryside veterinary for what you do.

Been visiting this clinic since 1976 for all my dogs. Very understanding and compassionate. Always receive a follow up call checking on my dogs status after any and all office visits. Had different surgeries on different dogs and always satisfied with the results and price. Dr Schlapp very understanding and willing to answer any question and cares for your pet as if it was his own. Highly recommend.

I've been using Countryside since I first moved to Plano about 4 years ago. I have taken all three of my cats and our new puppy. I don't know what it is anymore, but I'm guaranteed to wait at LEAST 25 minutes between my scheduled appointment time and the time that they actually care for my pet. Example: Today, I arrived for my pets appointment at 1030, waited about 15 minutes. Happens every time, so often, that I switched that's.

I have a 14 year old Pitbull and he is like my child. Ive had him since a dog I Rescued that was pregnant had puppies and he is the puppy I kept!! 14 years later, Critter Care closed and Sugar Grove Animal Hospital, where Dr.Robbins went, was booked up for about 2 months and he had a large cyst on his paw that was starting to bleed. I was very uncomfortable going to a new place. I read reviews about Countryside and they were really friendly and helpful and nice when I called there. Then we met Dr. Schlapp and instantly liked him. He gives you a firm handshake and looks you in the eye and I put my dogs life in his hands. He did downplay the price thats why 4 stars and the place kinda smells and needs a good cleaning. I am used to Critter Care, River Heights, Sugar Grove Animal Hospital, Crest Hill Vet Clinic, all of which were immaculate. So 4 stars for the cleanliness that my husband also noticed and commented on before I said anything to him and the pricing. It was over $1000 dollars. Then I was charged every 72 hours to bring him back for a whole 2 week period to change the bandage. That should be included not an extra $35 each time. It was a simple cyst removal on his paw. Dr. Robbins and Dr. Anderson told me to leave it alone with his age and it was not bothering him but because it started bleeding I wanted a simple slice to remove it. They charged for petty little things and it all added up. The bloodwork pre op bloodwork alone was like $300. Then the procedure was $1000. Then the $35 bandage removal every 72 hours for 2 weeks. Dr. Schlapp looked me in my eye and told me it would be $200 plus blood work. It was way more! So just watch out. You get good care. My dog healed fine. I took him to 2 other vets to make sure and they all agreed. Im grateful they were able to help him, it just was a lot of money for a simple procedure. They are high priced in general. Apoquel is $45 more there than Sugar Grove AH for a month supply for example. When I asked the front desk if they charged more than Sugar Grove AH for rabies vaccination and nail trims, she said " Yes we do so just go there then" I didnt get mad, I thought she was being honest so I said ok and did just that. Dr. Schlapp has been a vet since 1979 I believe so maybe you are paying for his experience and he did an excellent job on my dog so that is why I am even leaving a review which I rarely do.

We used to bring my currently 6 year old American Bully here, but no longer do. We felt they were only in it for the money and purposefully did not tell us the issue of our pet because they wanted us to have to come back later on and pay for another visit. Example: Our dog is on apoquel which causes a lot of lumps and bumps along with an increased chance of developing cancer (I know, it sucks, but he has absolutely terrible allergies and nothing else has worked thus far.) In August of 2017 he developed a bald red circle on his upper lip that was flat, but somewhat dense. We took him to the vet after about a month. We waited because it didnt seem to bother him and we had hoped it was a bug bite or it would go away on it's own. Me being paranoid of his cancer probability was very concerned at this point. I had explained to them it had been a month and hasnt bothered him at all. She didnt do any tests or even offer a skin scraping, she assumed it was a bug bite and that it would go away, even after I explained that it had been over a month and had not gone away. Fast forward to November of 2017, he still had it, so of course we brought him back in. The MOMENT the same exact doctor looked at it, she told us exactly what it was. Since at this point they had lost my trust I made sure they did a skin scraping and, of course, it came back exactly what she said. It looked the EXACT same as the first time. They no longer had my trust, so I was already one foot out the door by that time.

If you cherish your pet DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE! I repeat do NOT take them here, if I could give a negative star they would earn it. First off when I took my dog in the wait time was terrible our appointment was at 0930 and they didn't take us until 1030. . And secondly we have been taken our dog here since it was little and recently we noticed that our dog was drinking a lot and told them about it, and they REFUSED to do blood work and just told us that it was the medication she was taking. So we eventually went to get a different option from a different Dr in Plainfield and then we found out our poor dog was suffering from a sever case of pancreatitis . So this new dr gave us some medicine but it was TO LATE MY poor dog passed away bc it was NOT caught in time by this so called vet clinic in Yorkville. P.S When we told Countryside clinic about our dog new condition they back petteled and stated that we refused the blood work for our dog when she was there( which was NOT TRUE AT ALL) we love our animals and would have recommend them doing it if it was even offered to us..so long story short DONT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE UNLESS YOU HONESTLY WANT THEM TO DIE.

I absolutely LOVE countryside. Let me start by saying I have three pets, two dogs and a cat. My oldest dog is almost two and has an insane amount of issues in that short time. She was always sick as a puppy and we couldn't figure out why and had brought her to other vets and spent a substantial amount of money. Somebody told me about countryside because we were so sick of VCA and their prices. We called and they compared prices for us and they were very fairly priced. We found a main vet we love there, Dr. Cozen and she spent the better part of 3 months trying to figure out what was wrong with Nora and did everything she could to help her. We eventually figured out what was wrong with her and thats all thanks to Dr. Cozen and the great staff. We take all of our pets here and would never go anywhere else. they are always great and squeeze in my dogs if they have an emergency. The receptionist are amazing and know us very well. Patti and Dr. Cozen are the absolute best. Thanks to them all of my pets are healthy and happy. The facility is super clean and well kept everywhere, I highly suggest you take any of your fur family here.

9-2018 - Absolutely love this vet!!! 20+ years now with previous dogs and outstanding care. We rescued a dog (Hanna) in May that was affiliated with another Vet and at beginning of Sept she starting itching a lot (excessive non-stop itching all over her body) so we took her back to the original vet where we thought they had records on her but not. We waited in the room for over an hour to be seen and then another 40 minutes to get checked out. When the doctor arrived she did not even take the time to thoroughly examine our dog and then proceeded to tell us she had no clue. I understand with allergies it is a challenge to diagnose but she did not even offer a starting point. Said to maybe try Benadryl which makes the dog drowsy and did not offer any relief and then stated we could make an appointment with dermatologist which was the following week (another 7 days) of excessive itching for $150 of basically nothing. We called Countryside and they got Hanna in same day. After a thorough exam it was determined that what she had was most likely a common allergy and was provided with micro bacterial spray to calm down the bad areas and pills to combat which was less costly than the previous vet doing nothing. In less that 4 hours later no more scratching and no side effects. Hanna is back to her old self and doing great. Countryside has treated all of our dogs for the past 20 years and will continue to do so!!!

4-6-2018 I have been going here for about 3 years. I'm not happy at all with this veterinary clinic. My pets are on a special diet that this clinic prescribed. They would not give me enough food for a few days until I could bring my pets in for their yearly check up appointment. They argued that they told me I needed them to be seen..... but I was never told this....if I was told I would have taken them in. Now my pets do not have their prescribed food and their health is at risk. I used to work for a veterinary clinic and we would never put animals at risk like this. We would work with the owners make them an appoinment and give them enough food until they came in to that appoinment. I was told the veterinarian wasn't willing to risk their license to give me enough food until then. They care nothing about our pets. I will be going somewhere else. 4-7-2018 Update.......Went to a local pet store and asked what would be a non prescription food that would be close to my cats prescription food. I still need food for the babies until their appointment this coming week. The employee asked why I needed it. I told him what happened at the vets yesterday. He sold me the prescription food...that the vet wouldn't....to get me through this week until their appoinment.....at a different veterinary. I didn't even ask if he would. Now that's customer service and someone who cares about pets. My babies are happy

We have been going here for the last several years. Over that time we have had a total of four dogs all treated at this vet clinic. One dog collapsed while playing and we had to get in on an emergency basis. No problem, they took us right in and gave our pet a thorough exam. Unfortunately, her problem was too severe and she had to be transferred to the Aurora Animal Hospital. On other occasions we have been seen for routine treatments and they have been on time and friendly. I would recommend their services to anyone.

This place is remarkable!! They are the most kind and compassionate people. All of their Staff and the Drs are great. We had to put a beloved dog to rest and as hard as it was to do that; I would not have been able to deal with it if it weren't for the love and kindness we were shown. This is the place for you if you love your pet.

I've been taking my pets here for years, Dr. Cozen is a godsend. I have an extremely aggressive cat (in vet situations at least) who used to require being sedated for everything.. she was pretty naughty at the vet. But for some reason, she loves Dr. Cozen and has totally chilled out and is now fine when she has to go in! Dr. Cozen is so caring and compassionate and really takes the time to talk to you and explain your options... My kitty has mammary cancer and has gone through multiple surgeries in the past 2 years without incident, a round of chemo with UofI small animal clinic, and Dr. Cozen has been awesome and so helpful and communicative with the other vets the entire way. Unfortunately my girls cancer is too tough to beat, but I feel confident and comforted knowing that Dr. Cozen will always do her absolute best to make my cat comfortable for as long as possible. We also bring our dogs here too! recently boarded them for the first time, and they came home freshly bathed and nails trimmed, so that was awesome! My brother had a Boxer a couple years ago that ended up having brain tumors, and they had a string of awful experiences at their own vet in Ottawa, We recommended them to Dr. Cozen and they had nothing but the best things to say about her. She just truly CARES and that compassion makes a world of difference when you're dealing with tough pet situations. Highly recommend CVC and Dr. Cozen. I live in Chicago now and it says a lot that we STILL insist on driving all the way out to Yorkville whenever we have to see the vet because WE LOVE DR COZEN SO MUCH!

OMG I love love love these people. I took in two homeless dogs, and knew I needed to get the teeth taken care of for one of them. So I brought my dogs into another place first to get fixed, it was cheaper and I knew I had work ahead of me more serious health issues for these homeless dogs. The day I brought my dog home something wasn't right. It was the weekend so I couldn't call the other place. So I found this place. Open on a Sunday! Awesome! They checked my dog out, and offered their opinion, told my husband what needed to be done, this clinic received rude phone calls from The other place that fixed my dog, along with myself getting rude comments , slamming me online, and calls from This other place, ( I'm sorry you guys had to deal with a hot head unprofessional). Not you or myself should have to tolerate another business owners verbal abuse. Yet the only thing THIS clinic cared about as much as I do is " how's the dog and let's help the dog". It was truly breathtaking, that someone actually cared about my dog unlike the other clinic making threats and not caring about my dog and slamming their customers. I cannot say enough about taking your animals here. They truly care about the well being of your pet above all else. They are also very compassionate to the owner, and totally understand that a animal is you're family member. So they get the concern I'd have for my pet, and was willing to work into getting him surgery ASAP. To the doctor who helped my dog. It is because of the honesty of the tech and Doctor , you, this is why I'm bringing my dog into you for surgery. Thank you so much. Bless you're heart. I also like Brad the tech guy, he's very precessional and honest and just plan cool and caring with my dogs. Thank you Brad
