“i bought a plant at a small booth in hawthorn mall, and the woman working was so nice and helpful! she gave me good recommendations and was very friendly :) looking forward to buying from them again!”
“Sunnyside is an awesome addition to the neighborhood. They have a great selection at all kinds of price points. It's a one-stop-shop for a gift for a loved one or yourself. PLUS the owner and staff are so friendly and helpful. I love it there ?”
“This shop is so cute and inviting. Audrey was so great and knowledgeable in helping me pick the perfect plants for my room. She even offered to pot them for me which was a great teaching moment! This place is great with so many options and I can’t wait to add more plants to my home!”
“The best locally owned and staffed garden center! From annuals, perennials, and house plants to gourds, pumpkins, Christmas trees, wreaths, and winter greens, they've got it all.”
“I’m a young man that knows nothing about flowers. I had a date and made the mistake of not buying flowers last time. To make sure I didn’t make that mistake again, I found Rogers Park Florist. A man, and a dog named Monty, greeted me with great kindness and advice. I will be returning here often to show my thanks and to provide quality flowers for my girlfriend.”
“First went to Lurveys as part of a benefit for Wright Way Rescue in Morton Grove. I came back the next day with my husband because of the great sale that was being held, and we left with one large plant, and 4 large pots. Would definitely come back in the spring for more purchases.”
“I went shopping for money trees the other day in the Edgewater area of Chicago and all of the Asian stores said they will not be selling them until May. So I waited the next day and start searching for plant stores in Niles and found these two money trees to replace the big ones so they can be repotted. The lady helping me find them in the store was very nice and she had very nice plants there. This will be my regular plant store for now. Very convenient and the prices are very good as well. Thanks for helping me find a nice birthday gift to myself!”
“Andersonville staple - whether you shopping for a new home plant or a complete garden make over - gethsemane is a great place to start. People who work there are knowledgeable and above and beyond helpful. I got so many plants there and if any one of them is looking droopy, folks there are like teleheqlth for your home green potted fiends - great resurrection tips (thank you! )
Even if you are not in the market for a plant - gift store is a great spot for, well, gifts and things you did not know you will love and the whole place is worth a random roam.”
“A privately owned greenhouse that has plants you will not find in the big box stores. Amazing ready to go plants at reasonable prices. Please go here first before Home Depot, etc.”
“Me and my old lady absolutely love this adorable place....actually, full transparency, going again tomorrow for our annual trip there for our summer flowers - the people there always treat us like family”
“Love Chalet. It’s pricy, but can often find plants I’m looking for that I can’t find elsewhere. They take good care of their plants and many of the staff are very knowledgeable, if you can manage to lasso one of them. They can be VERY busy at times (true of any good garden center). Wish they had a little more room to maneuver among the outdoor plants, but that all said, I’m grateful they have as much as they do for selection.”
“Surprised to read negative reviews. This place is great! I have loads of plants from there (and other stores bc I have LOADS of plants in my house). None have ever been sick or infested. The store is adorable. They are far and above the most helpful staff. They will even repot a plant that isn’t even from their store (small fee) and offer advice. I brought in a sad peperomia which is now thriving thanks to Cultivate staff. They have a great selection of plants and pots. I like keeping mine in the containers, so I don’t mind no holes (and saucers take up space when your windows are already crowded). They’ll even drill a hole if you want it (small fee). It’s a business in Evanston- I think the prices are fair. If you want cheap plants and no service, try a HD.PS- they also have local artisan jewelry and a nice rewards program. I drive 35 mins to go specifically to this store.”
“Ryan helped us with our landscaping and flagstone path project. ( Major shout out to Damien and the crew too!) The results were exceptional and we could not be more happy! As with all major home projects, we had a few surprises come up, but Ryan was always there to work things through with us. As a matter of fact I got to know Ryan so well I now count him as a friend. Red's is very lucky to have this man on their team!”

8650 Dempster St, Niles“Super fast curbside pickup and very friendly associates! I ordered some caulk, caulk gun and misc supplies and 30 seconds after I tapped “I’m here” I had my items. Thank you for quick and efficient service.”
“This is the store I usually go to for garden supplies. The store is always clean and well organized, with friendly associates. I had great experience at the store today when picking up 8 bags of garden soil by myself. The store associate Umar generously helped me haul the loaded cart to my car and loaded all of them into my trunk. I would highly recommend this store to anyone in the neighborhood.”
“This update is based on my experience buying wood trim for a project: they have a great selection, and unlike my experience at Lowe's in Lincolnwood, their website is actually accurate and tells you which aisle/bin the item is in (see my Lowe's review for that cluster of a mess). I found what I needed, and they have a sawhorse set up so you can cut trim yourself -- I was surprised that they even had a miter box, as I thought that wasn't something they offered to avoid having people doing their full project cutting in the store. I needed to miter the pieces for my project, but I didn't know the exact measurements and had never used a miter box before, so I didn't want to embarrass myself trying to figure it out at 7am on Christmas Eve in the middle of a Home Depot. So instead I just cut the trim to the approximate sizes I needed with some wiggle room to measure it exactly later, and managed to figure out how to use a miter box at home after watching a Youtube tutorial. So, yay for that. Also after my adventures in elementary woodworking (lol), I needed wood filler/putty because the miter saw I was using was like 20 years old and not the most precise. Their website said they didn't carry the kind/stain shade I was looking for, but when I got there the day after Christmas, they did indeed have it. So, that was perfect. And now I have an awesome, handbuilt coffee table. About 5 years ago I also needed a random 1x4 (or maybe 1x6?) for a single shelf to fill the gap between my fridge and my wall, and one of their staff members used the power saw setup to cut that for me. That was also an easy peasy process. For my future random wood project needs, I'll definitely come here rather than Lowe's.”

901 Civic Center Dr, Niles“John in Plumbing was so incredibly helpful. I am trying to build jewelry displays from copper tubing and he had the best ideas. Best customer service I have had at Home Depot! I would definitely return to this location.”

655 Lake Cook Rd, Deerfield“I went in today looking for some paint for my basement floor and the lady who helped me was so personable. I think her name was Sofie. She explained the benefits of the different options I had and helped me figure out exactly how much paint I needed. You need more people like Sofie at every Home Depot. Hopefully she sees this and if she does thank you so much Sofie you made a confusing trip a fun and informative one.”
“Our office is across the street and our warehouse is about 30 minutes away. I have seen the place but it never clicked that they do take waste materials. We had a mixed full load of topsoil, bricks, pallets, and some other wood stuff in which they took. They charged me a I would consider a fair amount for the load.It was a little confusing upon entering as I didn't know where the office was. I suggest they put a sign up saying Office so new people know where to go. Other than this it was a great place, they were very communicative and very accommodating. One person said it is a lot but everything in the city costs a lot. If I was to pay my driver to drive 4 hrs round trip to dump further away for a cheaper dump price I am still paying the difference in drive time and wear and tear on my trucks and trailers. So in all reality I feel the price they charged was fair given my overall thought of costs.”

6211 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago“I had a great experience at this location yesterday. I needed assistance with a kitchen remodel, and Matt Rodriquez was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. I'll be coming back to this location and to him for future projects.”

2201 Oakton St, Evanston“I've been going to both locations of the home Depot for years, but will prioritize this one moving forward after a great customer service experience. I was looking to pick up a nest thermostat which showed as available online but was not found once I visited in person. After patiently helping me search and distract my two young children, the sales associate called the other store and had them set one aside for me and made sure I could walk up and get it instantly. I didn't happen to catch her name but she was managing the checkout that day, and doing a tremendous job of organizing everything. Will be back to this location again for my large projects”

655 Lake Cook Rd, Deerfield“I went to this Home Depot on my way home from work to get some electrical things. I did not really know what I was looking for but Kevin came to the rescue. Kevin was very knowledgeable and friendly! GIVE KEVIN A RAISE!!”
“I was very lucky today by a gentleman named Art and another helpfull and skillfull who helped me carry items into my car. Excellency on customer service care and very caring compassionate associate.”
“I recently received the most exquisite flower delivery from Victor Hlavacek, Winnetka. Every detail was done to perfection. The flowers were gorgeous, the arrangement was beautiful from every angle and the vase was lovely. Even the packaging, including the colorful tissue paper was carefully done to not only look pretty, but to ensure the arrangement arrived in excellent condition. Today marks day six and we are still enjoying them!”
