Bought an exquisite pale green LR sofa. Two LR chairs upholstered with beautiful floral fabric, embroidered. Also picked out most comfortable dark blue velvet sofa bed for den, with dramatic blue, wine and tan velvet accent pillows. Bought gorgeous wooden tray on sale, and striped silk cushion.They are not inexpensive, but merchandise is very high quality.

Years ago, my brother and I worked for the Plunkett family when it was Plunkett furniture. We worked at the Orland Park IL location. I must say with all honesty, that the Plunkett family was the best company I've ever had the pleasure for being an employee of. As far as the line of furniture and accessories they offer, it's nothing but the highest quality. And there is no place else that I would recommend if you are looking for furnishings that raise the bar. Any Plunkett owned and operated business is worth going to.

Great ideas and amazing help selecting colors, patterns, window treatments and furniture. Val and John take the time to listen and key on things I said and then apply their expertise with style and function. I started with window treatments and continued overtime to incorporate their ideas that made all the difference. Thank you!

John, Merrlis, Valerie and team have been helping us decorate several rooms of our home. My husband and I have strong and often differing opinions on our space. We require a lot of patience, some education and consistent encouragement. I'm doubtful we could have had as successful a result with any other firm.

Wow! Surprised I was the 1st to review! John Plunkett Interiors is truly an interior design hidden gem. When I first met John, I immediately recognized the name from the chain of furniture stores. I hadn't realized that they had taken their experience from furniture sales and expanded into interior design services. This seems to be a very scaled down version of their massive furniture stores, where they are now offering direct to consumer furniture pricing without the overhead of the large showroom. It's really more of a design studio now. I love that they offered a free in-home consultation. I didn't want to pay to have someone come to my house if I didn't like what they were recommending and that eased my concern. I liked that they aren't married to one brand of furniture so I knew they wouldn't be pushing a certain brand like some of the furniture stores I visited offered to. There wasn't a huge sales pitch but instead they were driven to help me solve my decor problems. I discussed with John the furniture I was thinking about buying at the stores I had visited and he explained to me the quality difference between the budget stores and furniture pieces that were built to last. John knew the in's and out's of how a sofa was put together and showed me that the budget couch I was looking to buy at the local big box store was really made to last 3-5 years, after which I would be looking to buy another one to replace it. He pointed out at what I should be looking for in a built-to-last couch construction and showed me a very similar one he could source from a catalog that I could buy that would last. He didn't push me to spend money with him, but the options he presented to me really did make sense and I bought several furniture pieces. He was also able to help me get custom blinds, rugs, an end table and a couple other furniture pieces that I needed and all the pricing was very reasonable compared to places I was shopping around at. Best of all, he had the eye to help it all come together and make sense. I would definitely recommend the team at John Plunkett Interiors if you need interior design help or furniture.

John did an excellent job with designing the dinning room in our new house. The table, china cabinet and the oriental rug all tie in for the perfect setting for our formal family meals. He is a one stop shop for everything you may need to make your house the envy of your friends and neighbors. We had our first Thanksgiving in the new house and everyone loved the look and the new furniture.
