Zeke at Stevens auto in palatine did a great job on my Mercedes 350ml. Bushings on control arm were bad and strut made noise. Chris showed me old parts so I understood the whole process. They have good employees there. The car rides like brand new now… thanks.
Another problem with my air conditioning and after a process of elimination of some valves, they got to the problem of compressor. Now it’s blowing cold air in this 90’ heat. The wife is happy. Thanks again Chris for everything.

Chris helped me in a tough spot I stopped by to have him check my battery after I charged it his crew and him were very friendly awesome service helped me in the spot when I thought my situation was going to be stranded he help me and my wife tremendously. A friend recommended this car shop and I am SO glad I went. I have had a couple of maintenance jobs done on my car here and they were more reasonable compared to other shops and also trustworthy. I pass at least 5 car shops to get my car fixed at Stephens Automotive! I have spoken with Chris and he has been very informative with explaining various issues and helped me numerous times. I worked with Chris and Eric, I have nothing but good things to say about them! They did a very detailed examination of my car and Chris walked me through the issues it had. He was very honest about what he recommended addressing. Eric did a phenomenal job repairing my car. Stephens Automotive was a great experience overall, I'm grateful to have such a great shop so close to home.

Took my car in for a noise it was making upon start-up. Several of Stephens mechanics looked and listened to it, but could not find a reason for it. The theory is the noise is caused by exhaust expansion when the car is started cold. The noise stops after the car warms up. Chris, who seems to be in charge, told me he will continue to research a cause for the noise.
Stephens also did a routine inspection of the vehicle and found that my oil was over-filled. They checked for leaks, checked the suspension and tires.
Stephens Automotive was thorough, and honest. On top of that, since they could not find anything wrong, they did not charge me for the service, even though I know they put a lot of time into it. My service experience was a good one.
I recommend Stephens Automotive in Palatine, IL.
