Worst customer service representative. I am a resident of Tinley Park . I was there at 8:00am on 7/7/2022. The lady who was working the register has alot to work on when dealing with customers.

Have been a long time customer, over 10 years. Have not worn a mask over the past 6 months. Last Friday 1/14/22, I was hassled about not having a mask from one of the register girls. She wasn't very polite. I told her Orland and Tinley didn't care and I haven't worn a mask in over 1/2 a year. She said the store just started the policy. I'll bring my business elsewhere . Until it hits business in their pockets they will continue to limit our freedoms.

My husband and I frequently stop here, at times twice a day as we live near. I know management has knowledge of all while I promise others have reported to corporate. Something needs to change- ive watched this place go down hill for the past 3 years. Evening time is when the girls are actively working hard and assisting customers. Morning thru afternoon is a disaster. Im a middle aged woman and we run our own company so I hate that this is happening. GM is very friendly and polite however her employees are more like sisters or kids. The main girl at the first register almost daily NEVER has a smile and shes the first person customers see. To be greeted with such a sour face each day is terrible for business. Any time im there all I hear is LOUD Gossip about their personal lives which believe me what their saying is not for the publics ear, outbursts of shouting and slang terms hollering at each other regardless how close or far someone is and if thats not happening then foul talk about a customer experience is being blabbed through the store. Almost always 3-4 employers all standing behind the counter just gossiping every day and eating. It really gets to where this is to much and just crude talk. Some customers one man imperticular seen many times stands alongside the register and gossips with them, than hes found walking behind and near the register no one acting like thats a problem. He involves himself in each persons check out which is uncalled for while the girls are loud and they all go back and forth without any regard that customers are present. This place has become so run down and unprofessional. Ive heard many times that they aren't from around here, girls get into back and forth exchanges with the customers arguing at times, Ive seen so much over the years and NO change. Just multiple employees standing around like there in someones front yard shouting, laughter, crude talk, slang. No one ever acknowledges the customer. No HI when u walk in, they just keep everything amongst themselves while always eating Its a big coffee house for them behind the counter. A person is treated better at a yard sale then this establishment . Come in the evening and the atmosphere is mellow, employees saying Hello, working, cleaning. Please save your store and start at the top, bring in employees that look as if they care and want to be there, put a manger in charge who can show shes an authority figure not your girl friend. Please someone clean the disgusting fountain machine. Crud and gunk hangs out the nozzles when filling up, dried water chucks line the pan, the whole area around is disgusting. That has been going on for a long while now, meaning its been many months since those nozzles have been cleaned and soaked which should be happening nightly. Customers will start returning once order is restored and it needs to start at the top. Bring in new faces, people who know how to run a business and not allow all this foolish behavior and yes the General Manager is right there in it all. Send the girls back to where ever they are from let them work closer to home since they frequently talk about us people in Orland Park. Perhaps our town has a reputation because it employs people who care about businesses in the area and we have standards. NO other business in this area will you ever see this behavior-Not in this area. They cant respect each other, no respect to the customer and no respect for Thortons. They do not care if this business goes under and make no effort to improve anything. This is just a paycheck it comes with no standards or expectations. There are plenty of people in this area that would love to work and be proud to have a nice running and clean establishment. This place is really in the dumps anymore and needs a huge makeover All around. Good job to the evening girls, they show appreciation and act civilized.

Thortons used to be a really good place to get gas. Within the last year and a half it's become a target for theft. People going into cars while you're pumping gas or inside. Also scammers stealing your card information. They have replaced the electronics at the pump, but it still happens. I put in my debit card, entered my pin and was quickly notified by my bank via phone that someone tried to take $150...fortunately the bank denied it. I informed the staff. They offered an oppolygy, but it ended there. " next in line". I went back a few weeks later to get gas, put in my card and the machine kept telling me to insert card even though I already did. Didn't seem to be working correctly. Went across the street to get gas. Won't be back. Be aware if you go there!

Worst customer service!! this has been the second time I try to pay with a 100 dollar bill and claim is fake First of all It clearly shows this employees are lazy and don’t even hesitate on checking the bill The first time it was a few months ago and thought okay probably the cashier doesn’t know how to check them but now again Really!! So disrespectful of them just try to cause someone of having fake bills probably need to work on learning how to do your job and one of them is to know how to check a bill And always says the system doesn’t read it write Won’t be back here for sure

I am a thortons fuel reward member and it's convient.10 cents off every gallon if you sign up - which you should save gallons. The machine is fast and the employees are always with a smile. The only issue I had was when the machine would not take my card and kept saying insufficient funds when I had over 450 in my account. Iwent inside and they fixed it . Other then that this place is saving
