I had a very disappointing experience with Northwestern Medicine during my pregnancy. During my anatomy scan, the technician made incorrect measurements of my baby's nose, leading to unnecessary stress and an additional appointment with maternal-fetal medicine. Thankfully, the second scan showed everything was fine with my baby. However, Northwestern Medicine wants to charge me for both of these appointments, despite the error being on their part. I’ve been fighting these charges since March without resolution.
Additionally, they tried to charge me $600 for an ER visit, which was clearly an emergency. Only after my insurance got involved did they admit it was an emergency, reducing the charge to $300. This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel that patients should not have to bear the cost of their mistakes or have to fight to get fair billing.
Because of these issues, I decided to switch to a different provider in my last trimester, and I was much more satisfied with the care and transparency I received there. I am extremely disappointed with Northwestern Medicine's service and lack of accountability and would not recommend them to anyone.

Safety should be more of a focus at this facility. The parking garage has had many issues with homeless people sleeping inside and strange notes being placed on cars. It doesn’t feel safe. There are no cameras inside the parking garage or any security walking around the campus, however the clinic has cameras in every area of the clinic.
Hire security to be at the campus daily as well as security patrolling the parking garage and the outside parking lot. Yea there are police but they’re not around all the time.
If you care about the safety of patients and staff at this facility then take care of the problem.
Work on the entrance coming into the facility off of west avenue. There’s congestion with the fitness center traffic and you can barely get a car coming in and out when entering the facility. It’s a very dangerous area. Pedestrians even have difficulty crossing when walking from one sidewalk to another.

Posting on behalf of my father who is a current patient and recently had a knee replacement- While the doctor himself was adequate, the support staff (front desk, answering service, etc.) has been absolutely horrible. Their answering service claims they’ll respond in 24-48 hours which has been a complete lie. We have left voicemail after voicemail with urgent post-op issues with no response. We’ve sent messages through the online portal with the urgent issues and it takes days for a response. The voicemail says to call 911 if you have an emergency and after almost 4 days of waiting for a post-op pain medication refill, we truly had to consider this option. It’s no wonder we have an opioid epidemic when people who are trying to follow the doctors orders can’t get ahold of the doctors office when you’re in excruciating pain. The home health physical therapist who works for Northwestern attempted to contact the doctor regarding the pain my father was in because she was not comfortable working on his knee with the amount of pain he was in. With all of these challenges, it’s surprising that no one from Northwestern has called to check on my fathers pain level or inquire about his recovery. It’s very unfortunate that the doctors through Northwestern are top tier but the support staff causes patient care to be insufficient and substandard. If my father decides to have his other knee replaced, we will not return to Northwestern Medicine.

I have been coming to this location for 6 years. Since Northwestern medicine took over it has tanked. They no longer care for you the patient, there main concern is your wallet. I'd avoid this place at all costs. They want you to prepay for service if you are paying cash, and will label you even if you have never missed a bill payment. This type of behavior is unethical. Also the older lady at the receptionist for the DR is very rude and has an attitude. I'm sad to have to find another provider who actually cares about you.

Just finished chemotherapy here in the cancer center. The receptionists and nurses are so wonderful, patient and relatable. I can never payback all the kindness that was given, just going to pay it forward. I am very thankful to have received my treatment here.

Hasanat was the worst doctor I have ever had. He was always accusing me of lying and when I asked for some time off of work to work on my mental state, he wanted to commit me into the hospital for the entire time I wanted off. I just needed to rest and he wouldn't give me that. When he did agree to give me a week off, he refused to provide a letter to my job. I asked multiple times and he refused. How is this giving me time off if you refuse to provide the needed document to get that time off? Don't see this doctor. He is just terrible.

It is next to impossible to talk directly to the actual office of the doctor. You have to always get a callback. Then I was never told that when you need a mammogram-- if that is your first time at that facility-- you need a copy of your prior mammogram and need to bring it 2 days beforehand. Never was told this, nor where to bring the disk. The first day the radiologist took my disk and said I would have to come back as I should have dropped the disc off 2 days prior.. I said no one told me this. Then she had me pre sign a form asking for my records in case the disc I brought was bad. She never sent the form in for me requesting another disc.. This is now going on 3 weeks already. Amita told me they put my reports of the last 2 years of my prior mammograms on that disc. And that radiology tech at NW told me no. Who is lying? Now I have to go back and get the disc of my prior mammograms again which is 40 minutes from my house. I am going to go to Advocate and get a new doctor. I am fed up with the ineffectiveness of the Orland Park Northwestern facility. Advocate High Tech does not ask u to bring your disc 2 days ahead of time like Northwest does. I can bring my disc the day of my mammogram. Never was so frustrated in all my life by Northwest Medicine Orland Park facility!!!

The woman at the front desk of the D building is very rude. She is a heavy set Caucasian woman. She is rude every single time i go there. I have seen her be rude to many other people. She gives out misguided information. She is simply unpleasant. If she is going to work the front desk the least she could be is friendly. I have never had an issue with anyone else. The other staff, especially behavioral health is absolutely amazing. It's a shame people who are sick have to run into someone like this woman at the front desk. I will pray for her.

I have work all day. I go to radiation and get an MRI at Christ. Then I need blood work for my chemo treatment the day after. I walk in at 6:50 and they are already closed when their clinic closes at 7. Now I can't get my last chemo treatment tomorrow before I get blood work. I'm glad whoever works in the lab got to get out early.
