We have an elderly cat that becomes extremely stressed whenever she goes to the vet. We got pills the give to her before going. They really made a Hugh difference. The vet was very knowledgeable and sensitive to her needs. Highly recommend. They experience was remarkable!

We have been using Four Paws since 2007, when one of our two previous Shetland Sheep Dogs needed to go to heaven, the Doctor and Technician agreed to come out to our vehicle where he was laying comfortably in a familiar environment on our blanket. He went to heaven to become an angle and they cried with me! This was way outside their norm, but is a perfect example of the staffs compassion and care for patients. Then we received a very nice card and plant from the entire staff! I have been working in the customer service industry for over 45 years, meeting all customers expectations is an impossible task, but the entire staff at Four Paws (and Kennelwood) go out of their way to answer every question and check every concern and try meet everyones expectation. I have two new four footed kids and they are patients of Four Paws, the best Veterinary Service in Greater St Louis!

I (and my family) have been loyal clients for more years than I care to count. Spent thousands and thousands over the years, but today when I needed non-prescription 'Flea and Tick' treatment for my cats - I was told point blank my cats would need an appointment before they would sell me any!! BTW - Dr. Jessen is the best and his team is on point! However, with VET cost going through the ceiling - I refuse to be making unnecessary appointments to get products I can get elsewhere without that kind of added cost and inconvenience!!

Love the vet we have. Dr.R is so patient and helpful with our big dog who is scared. They have really made the process a lot easier, and he focuses on lights so they can distract him with that to then easily give him shots. The vet assistant is amazing as well. I had asked if our guy was one of the difficult ones, and she said no, not at all since we can do the light trick, and he is just scared that really put us at ease. Knowing they have a caring team makes it a lot easier for us!

Everyone treated us with such kindness and they were very gentle with both my nervous cats. They listened to my concerns and acted on them. This is our new place!

Great group of skilled, caring vets and vet techs. They treat and talk to the pets as if their own. Also a very helpful, friendly and courteous administrative staff. I recommend taking your pet here.

They charge you 200$ plus just for vaccines and add on things you HAVE to get in order for them to continue to allow you to pay 300$ for their monthly heartworm treatment. This clinic is money hungry and outrageous. They charge you just for the doctor to TOUCH your dog.. if I’m paying a doctor to touch my dog then service needs to be prompt . We been waiting for the doctor for a min. This insane it’s time for a new clinic.!

The staff are so kind, helpful, and professional. They take such excellent care of your loved fur babies. They give you all the options, and help choose which is best, and the prices are fair. You get great service, and that's worth it. I know my pets are taken care of when we go here.

I called yesterday to get a refill on Apoquel. They stopped using their mail order company. The unfeeling receptionist told me I had to see the doctor first. I said I have one refill left. Sorry, but you need to see the doctor. Next appointment is over 3 weeks away. I said I don't have that many pills for 3 weeks. They said sorry and the call ends.
Why can they not honor the prescription they wrote? I had a year prescription ending in September. Obviously, business is business. I guess 3 weeks then. Hopefully no emergency visits between now and then for $600. And what stings the most is my dog has been going there for 11 years.

Have been going here a long time. Only negative thing I can say is the growth of this clinic has left it a little less personable for my tastes. They do take good care of the animals though?
