Cashier Tyler and I discussed applying my membership discount towards an item I was purchasing. He said that he was applying and slyly asked whether I would like a printed receipt. When I looked at my receipt later I found discount wasn’t applied. I drove back and asked for compensation for their error, after much deliberation management, Twila and MOD offered a discount for another full priced item. They confirmed it would be emailed, it was never sent. Sad to see REI in such a sorry condition. It used to be a decent retailer. Prediction, they’ll continue to overcharge customers and discount until they run the business into the ground.

I went to return boots because they were under warranty. Worn only once, broken lace base. They passed me from one to another as if angry. The lady who helps me says she has to call her manager because they were bitten up. Completely false but they treated us very rudely. Her boss arrives and says that in fact it can be seen that they were not used, they were under warranty that she should change them. The cashier angry as if she was the one who gave me back her pocket. 1 Star because I am a customer who spends thousands every
Years in equipment in this store. And I felt like they treated me badly for being Latino in a store that is in a more $$$ area. Good morning to everyone, it was like you want terrible service. This happened on the morning of August 18, 2024

They need to teach the employees at the shoe department how to assist more than one customer at a time. Unbelievably slow service here. I literally had a shoe in my hand and stood a foot away from each sales rep, and I received no contact or acknowledgment whatsoever. I have worked in retail sales selling shoes for four years. If I worked like the employees at REI, i would’ve been fired immediately. Otherwise, this location has a decent inventory.

Lots of quality clothing, but you will pay for it. Could not find an associate to let me "try-on" pants in locked fitting room....disappointing!

Great place to get your hiking and camping needs! Lots of bicycle options. Lots of cool little gear things as well that woulod be very handy for your adventures. Came to get fitted for a hiking pack, and got great service! The guy who helped me was very upfront, noted the fact that I had a strange combo of long torso and broad shoulders, and worked with me until we found something that fit me! TY!
There wasn't too many light bedding options last time I was there, maybe they restocked. They gave me a discount when I found a bed I wanted but didn't have its cover!
Awesome place, awesome people all around who know their stuff. Keep in mind, last I was there June 2023, so I hope nothing has changed :)

Quality gear. Knowledgeable staff. Pricey, but look for the REI Co-op member sales and discounted prices on returned items for good value.

Came in to buy a bike rack but also ended purchasing a bike as well. Melissa - was outstanding! She made sure the bike was 100% before purchasing everything. AND she assembled our bike rack on the spot when we requested!
Every time we go to the store we receive excellent customer service, but Melissa went above and beyond to make sure we left the store with everything we needed to know about our new bike and bike carrier!

Love REI! Best store for hiking,biking and skiing needs and clothes! Just bought a perfect daypack for traveling in Europe! I like the REI brand but they have all the majors as well

Went to the REI Oakbrook location to shop for gear for an upcoming half marathon in Colorado. I cannot thank employee Nicole enough for the help she gave me and my friends. Was super knowledgeable on all products and had a friendly energy despite it being near closing time. Helped me find the perfect pair of trail runners and a hydration vest. Even went the extra mile and was demonstrating how to insert a bladder into the hydration vest if I wanted to go that route. She was the best and she deserves some praise! Also signed up for a membership and will definitely be back soon for more gear.

Incredible store. All things needed for camping ?, hiking, walking, biking. Bikes, clothes, shoes, camping gear. Coays too. Shoe selection along with specialty socks. Check out this place. Employees available to help you. Their credit card has amazing perks too.
