“I had gone to Home Depot to pick up materials for my basement renovation. I was fortunate enough to get Misheka Hutchins to assist me. She was very knowledgeable. She suggested two things that I would need to complete the shower bed. She reviewed my entire list with me and answered all my questions. Misheka gave such excellent service to me that when I had to go back for more supplies needed by the contractor I willing to wait until she returned from vacation. She definitely made me feel like a valued customer and made Home Depot look like the place to go to. Kudos to Misheka and Home Depot for having such a knowledgeable associate who cares about their customers.Sheila N”

“These guys really know their business. They are the real "helpful hardware men" as the commercial states and a pleasant change from the giant and typically unhelpful Home Depot. This ACE has repeatedly saved me time and money by suggesting better solutions for home repair. The selection is surprisingly good also and usually has at least a couple of solutions to every home repair problem. Just ask and they will tell you the best solution!On one occasion I had called a professional plumber who declared my kitchen plumbing problem "too hard" with the plumber complaining about the depth of the sink and the relatively high location of the single drain pipe (for three drains). The plumber then slipped out the back, leaving me to solve my own problem. I took a trip to the ACE and the associate at this ACE spent over an hour helping me solve this plumbing problem, with the ACE associate placing more than a dozen plumbing parts on the floor in the proper order... I went home and by the end of the day it was working.On another occasion, I went to this ACE thinking I would buy some WD-40 to loosen rusted screws in order to remove a broken screen door. The ACE associate showed me the WD-40 but then suggested an alternate product "PB Blaster" which I purchased on their recommendation. I returned home and applied the PB Blaster to the rusted screws on the screen door. Several screws were rusted on tight and resisted my efforts to loosen them. The instruction for the PB Blaster advises waiting a few minutes for the Blaster to soak in, so it seemed like a good time to take a lunch break. I returned from lunch to find the rusted screws popped out, and the screen door on the ground. Wow, just wow.So, if there is such a thing as a home repair magician, these guys are it!Highly recommended.”

“Extremely helpful staff. I had stopped at another Ace location looking for a particular drill chuck. They didn’t have it, but took the time to find it and referred me to Dukes. The Dukes staff jumped right in, found the chuck I needed and made sure it would fit my drill. All of this done quickly as I had explained I was under a time crunch. Great people! They kick hell out of big box places in customer service!”

“I visited this location on 22DEC22. The 5 stars for this review are relagated to the associate Nieve. I came into the store stressed and confused looking for an extension cord that likely doesn't exist. I requested for Nieve to help me find it, and they helped me as best they were able. They walk with me to were they sold cords with negative results. They then walked to a computer and put in the specifications for my extension cord, but they didn't sell anything like the one I was looking for. They even attempted to see if they had the snowblower in stock I needed to see if they could better figure out what kind of cord I needed. However, we weren't able to find any pictures to help figure out what cord I needed. Nieve thought it strange by the way I was describing it. However, they were respectful dealing with my later realized error and educated me in a non-condescending way and informed me why the item I was mistakenly looking for likely was wrong. Nieve went over and beyond and deserves recognition for their work ethic, kindness, and knowledgeability. They even gave me the right cord I needed before I left!”

“I had broken the elbow off my bathtub drain shoe while trying to get the drain out. Spent days trying to find a replacement on the Internet. Failed a couple times. Decided to go to Harlem plumbing. The salesman took a couple seconds, and gave me everything I needed.Drain fixed!I had the slip joint nut and plumbers putty already. He had, the shoe the drain and the gasket for me. Very happy with the service.”
