I was sold shoes by a shoe salesman. As I looked for a pair of loafers to replace my current J&M discontinued model I was approached by Ron the salesman- manager of the Oak Brook location. I showed him a shoe I was considering. He asked me several questions of what activity I was going to be doing in these shoes. I was taken back a bit.
I’m not new to buying shoes. He seemed sincere and really wanted to know.
He explained how shoe construction for someone with my build- 6’2” 235 LB would find comfort in certain shoes builds- all loafers which I wanted to buy.
We had a conversation about several topics while I made my decision. Ron could sell ice in Alaska. We talked about everything from shoes to the white Sox to to Don Rickels to his 6 grand children. Not sure how he has 6 grand children as he looks about 50 but claims he’s 61. I tried on 6 pairs of shoes. I purchased 2 pairs. Who said customer service is a lost art? Stop by and see Ron at Johnson and Murphy of Oakbrook Center. He will find you a pair of shoes that are comfortable and stylish

Needed some work shoes at the last minute. Store closed at 8:00pm called there 10 minutes before talked to David told him.Amazing service didn’t have what I was looking for, but left with something better!He is very professional and definitely knowledgeable about shoes. All the employees at this store are in my personal experience coming here. Keep up the good work!?

Can’t express my gratitude enough for the wonderful service at this store.Was looking for a shoe rack and with help of Lia found exactly what I needed. Was also looking for a boot I purchased before,but in black. They didn’t have it, but no worries Lia got it shipped to my house.?

Loved the selection of shoes. A bit pricey but I’m hoping they will last a while. We were NOT impressed by the guy in charge. There is a difference between being confident and being rude/cocky. Telling us that there are couples (like the ones who just got in) that will just look around but not buy anything, is not nice. Do you expect people to just buy things without looking around to see if they like something ?

I went in to try on some shoes that I had seen online. Andrew made sure that I was going to get the right size and had me try on a few different pairs to verify. I ended up seeing a different pair that I liked better and he helped with those as well. Top notch service. The shoes are extremely comfortable. I very much enjoyed the entire experience and will definitely be back for clothes, other shoes, or any of the accessories they offer.

I splurged and bought my wedding shoes here. Service was top notch and the sales rep was very helpful on my final choice. I loved the shoes and they are super comfy. I came back and bought a pair of their boots. Highly recommend this brand and store.
