I went to the Main Street Hair Company for the first time today and had an excellent experience. The staff are very professional and friendly. I went in for a simple hair cut and couldn't be happier with it. They styled it beautifully and were absolutely wonderful throughout my visit. The pricing is also very affordable. Pam is the absolute best! I was looking for a new hair stylist so I asked for recommendations on the next door app. I received so many recommendations! Pam responded and included her portfolio! I took a leap of faith and went for a haircut I had shoulder length hair and went very short!! I love my hair so glad I found Pam. I now get cut and color! Great salon very chic. Pam is stuck with me now

Although Pam seems like a very nice person, I will not be returning to her salon. I made an appointment for a cut and color. I have naturally dark hair, but I prefer a lighter hair color. I attempted to explain the process my previous stylist used to lighten my hair, which didn't involve bleach. I had a difficult time conveying the technique she used given that I'm not a hairstylist. Usually the entire process (cut, lightener and toner) takes about two to three hours, however, I believe the total time I spent at the salon today was about 90 minutes. Pam also continuously referred to the other stylist working there for how to color my hair. I do like the cut, but I am unsatisfied with the uneven color.

I was looking for a new hairdresser and new hair style. I posted on the Nextdoor app looking for suggestions! The response I got was overwhelming! I decided to go with Pam at Main Street hair company! And I’m thrilled I chose her! I had shoulder length hair and wanted to go very short. Brave move on my part going to a new hairdresser for this change. Pam exceeded my expectations I walked out of her salon with a huge smile and an amazing haircut. The next time I had an appointment I had it colored. Oh my goodness! The color is spectacular!!! It’s the color I’ve always wanted but no stylist could ever do. Pam is above and beyond a skilled, knowledgeable, friendly hairdresser. She’s stuck with me as a client. I give my full recommendation of Main Street hair company. I have been visiting Main Street Hair Company for 7 years and have always been incredibly satisfied with my services. I originally started with Alicia and after her untimely passing I starting working with her mom and the business owner Ms. Pam. Ms. Pam has dealt with me coming in with multiple photographs and saying "I want part of that one and part of this one. Can you do that?" and sure enough, she always can. You may see a 1 star review from another client complaining about the fact that Ms Pam was running late for her sons appointment. *I* am the reason that happened. I have incredibly thick hair and I didn't convey how much I wanted done when I booked the appointment - I just said cut and color - so it was booked at my normal span of time. When I walked in, I had an elaborate plan that took a little extra consult time. Under normal circumstances my cuts are done professionally, quickly and precisely but in this case, I just ate up extra time. Before I left the salon, I even went over the the woman that was waiting with her son and personally apologized for taking so much time. It's unfortunate that Karen took that out on a reputable and respected visit by leaving such a low star rating. Please don't let it deter you from stopping in for services. You won't regret it. I am attaching a before and after so you have an idea of the scope of work that was done.

I really don't like leaving a negative review but this was just bad. We arrived at our appointment on time. The stylist was working on someone and said she was running behind. No problem at all. I was expecting maybe another 10 min. Our appointment was at 12:15. 15 min later someone else walked in because they had a 12:30. The stylist said she was running late. The man was understanding and said he would come back in 30 min. At that point the other client getting her hair cut wasn't done so I knew my son's haircut would be rushed. He finally got called at 12:45. With the wash and cut he was done within 12 min. How in the heck is that even possible? I feel like I paid for a very minimal trim and for her to comb his hair. I'm not happy at all with the results. This was just a terrible experience and total disorganization as far as appointments go. I realized after I left that the owner was the stylist that cut my son's hair

This place is ok. It's really cute inside, and the windows make you feel like you are outside, rather than in a lower level basement. The stylist was fine, didn't talk to us at all, until I tried to make conversation. We were there for my shy teenager, so I was standing by to help give direction for what she wanted. Their were two stylists working, and 4 chairs, but the 2 stylists had their stuff on the open chairs, so I didn't feel very welcome. My daughter really liked how they shampooed her hair, and we were both happy with the layers they put in. I think it would be a good place for someone in their 30s or older, and not so much for a teenager. So I'd definitely recommend them for older ladies.
