Great people to deal with. They even updated my trans to newer, better parts to make it last. Thanks again.

My family has had two bad experiences with them.First experience... My aging mom went to Pede's because the oil pan nut that had been tightened too much during a previous oil change. She has a 2011 Mazda CX-7.First, they did do the job. The repair cost $160 to remove the bolt, replace it with a new bolt, and fill with 5 quarts of oil. Her main concern was that the service technicians swore all of the time, and that the driver who took her home while they worked on her car drove extremely dangerously while swearing at everyone on the road. Not a great look, by itself maybe a 3 star review. Now for the real fun.My father in law dropped off his really low mile 2001 Ford Taurus about *7 months ago* because of a transmission problem. It took them months to finally get back to them with a diagnosis on the problem, and then a couple of months to get the parts (which could be because of supply chain issues). About a month ago they gave them back the car. After about a couple miles of driving the transmission light came on.So he drove the car back. The guy he spoke to said 'Those models don't even have a transmission light 'and asked him what he did to the car. He showed this guy the light, and pointed out he only had the car an hour...When they next spoke they tried to blame the problem on him yet again, saying that the fluid was low. Again, he barely had it any time before the light on the dashboard came on, and secondly draining transmission fluid and then just driving around is something NOBODY WOULD DO.However, it turned out that this too, wasn't the problem. In the end, it was a computer part in the transmission that needed to be replaced. This was after 7 months of them having the car.One would hope that this is the end of the saga, but no. They got the car back yesterday and the shocks and struts are broken. And naturally Pede's will take no responsibility. There are other reputable auto-repair shops in the Kewanee area. Bring your car here at your own risk.Services: Transmission repair

Do not patronize this place. They charged me $400 to put in a new hub bearing. The whole time they never did the work. When my car started acting up again. I had an alley mechanic to put in a new hub bearing for a fraction of what they charged me. I will never go to this place again. They are not right

Friendly, family run shop. I was able to get my vehicle right in and it was finished in a timely manner. Very helpful and accommodating. Most importantly the problem with my car was fixed!
