My parents started using Stevenson years ago and always had the best experiences. For years now I have been purchasing the Car Care Club card. Not only does it make getting oil changes so much easier but has come in so handy. Not only is their work high quality, but their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. There’s no surprises and best of all no BS. They are always my go to if I have any issues or concerns; and most definitely the first shop I recommend to friends and family. Now that my son has his first vehicle, he will be getting a Car Care Club card also and having his vehicle checked out by the areas most trustworthy, caring, and knowledgeable staff. Thank you Bill and staff!!

Took my truck to there shop it needed a new transmission I told them I was 80% sure that my transmission went out they let me know they would look into they had it for three day it was low on fluid and they drove it 3 different times and no problem with it shifting but my first day back driving it to work and it's doing the same thing I wish they would have just replaced the transmission because now I have to get it tow again. I do believe I told them that when I did the transmission flush that the fluid was black and I could feel it shifting rough I get they wanted to see what was really going on but this was my first time taking it to any shop i don't know if I'll take it back to them but I will say it not completely there fault for doing what they thought was the problem

My local classic car club recommended Stevenson to fix my stalling and fuel system issues and I am extremely pleased with the experience. My 2bbl carburetor was rebuilt and tuned along with a fuel pump replacement on my 1968 Ford 289 and it runs better than I've ever heard it. Even after finding out the problem was a bit bigger than expected they fixed everything without running over budget. There are other mechanics much closer to me but I will happily make the 50 mile drive, each way, to Stevenson for their expertise and the quality of work.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Had 3 weeks scheduled for an electrical Issue. Found a ride, took work off n drive 48 minutes to drop it off and the owner looked at it and said I'm not touching it and left me with no advice.he gave excuses like it's something he doesn't want to get into and he was the recommended shop for the job! An absolute waste of time, total unprofessionalism and they can't handle the schedule n work load the set for themselves. Absolutely go somewhere else n save yourself a month of waiting.

Recently I had some work done on my 1966 Ford Mustang at Stevenson Auto Repair in Kankakee. The work and service were great! I have also gone to Stevenson's for my daily driver and the result was the same ... the work and service were great! I have used Stevenson's over the years and I highly recommend them for their dedication to the customer. This place is very honest! I drive about an hour to obtain their services, and it is well worth it!Services: Brake service & repair
