"Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks!" So, this location lived up to and beyond their slogan during my visit today, and during my last one also, but this one was simply superior in terms of the customer service I received. See, this is EXACTLY how every visit to this, and really, every store, should go — I'm not always on my cane, but today was a bad pain day for the spine & hips, so I hobbled in, was greeted by a friendly employee and allowed to continue on my way to where I was headed, which was to the screws and nails; nobody pounced on me like some greeters do, insisting that they immediately lead me to the items I needed, or asking me a barrage of questions concerning my hardware needs etc. I HATE that. I want to be greeted, acknowledged and let to go on my way, unless I TELL you I am looking for something specific and would like to be taken straight to it, or, after looking around, if unable to find what I want and I'm visibly wandering aimlessly and obviously in search of "something," I appreciate being approached to ask if I need help.
Today, in my search for the screws I needed, no problem, knew where to go, found the package in a minute or two. The nails, on the other hand, were a different story.....
(and this would be my only gripe about the store itself, because it just makes absolutely no sense whatsoever - you'll understand in a minute)...My logical assumption was, since there was a full aisle, both sides, nearly floor to about 6' high, LOADED with every type, length, width, and duty of screw and nut that's ever been made, and for any and every kind of material or surface, that there should also be a full aisle of the same with nails, respectively. But there was not, as far as I was able to see. I found a younger employee and asked where I could find them, and he led me to a tiny section of shelving with large boxes of nails meant for larger projects (I needed all of ten, 2½" galvanized roofing nails, or box nails), so I discovered it was either pay 23 bucks for a pile of nails I was never gonna use again, or drive my sorry butt to Home Depot, which I loathe, but this was where my husband got the original package we were working from, so I at least knew I could get them there. I thought, this simply could NOT be the ONLY selection of nails they had. This is a friggin hardware store, for Christ's sake!
Walked around the corner and saw a small end cap display of packages of nails, in a variety of metal types, colors, lengths and for tons of different purposes, going all the way down to your basic thumbtack, which I didn't know was considered a nail, but I digress...
Not a single nail that I saw on any of these hooks were suited to my needs, and so I walked back into the screw aisle, frustrated, and peeking into bins, thinking, this stuff HAS to be mis-marked or something; that CAN'T be all the nails they have! In mid-that-thought, another youngster was showing a customer into this aisle, and when I asked for his help, he was SUPER cool, very patient and understanding with my ridiculous confusion, and it turned out he, himself was also confounded by the store's lack of selection. I thought, maybe in back? Can we grab a manager to ask, just in case? I joked, I am sure I've walked past them a hundred times and they're hiding in plain sight, but at this point, I just feel like this is a whole Where's Waldo deal..."
A co-worker, not sure if he was a manager or not, but, a gentleman nearer my age, named Henry came up RIGHT then actually and asked if he could help. Both he and the younger guy went to town looking for my nails in the little bit of what they DID have, and Henry picked out a $3 package for me that was so close that it actually wound up doing the job. Between the two of them, I swear, they were just all over this customer service thing and very genuinely wanted to make sure I got what I needed and left happy. Henry even carried my basket with the fire s

Alright everyone, its papi Poggers Champion here today and we have a helluva story to go through. Allow me to set the scene, I just purchased 3 bags of Mazuri® Mini Pig Active Adult food for my young breeding Sus scrofa domesticus, when one of them got a lil overzealous (I named him George Bush) breeding and absoteuly smashed through the enclosure. I went ot ace hardware store to purchase a small electric fense generator incase lil Bush gets too excited again and tries to mog the enclosure. I saw out the corner of my eye a young Japanese (with just a touch of jew I think) boy workjing tat the store. I asked him where the electric fenses are and he showed me the right asile the second time around (He got a little lost the first time). Overall WONDERFUL experience, george bush had a great second breeding section and even when he hit the fense it didnt break cause the electricity fried his skin into a bit of bacon, keeping him from pushing (sporry george). (attatchewd is a picture of george, hes the black one in the back)

When I think of Ace Hardware, I think of over priced but helpful in a “small town” kind of way. This Ace is just pricey. The staff thier is grumpy and they’ve closed thier bathrooms to the public because they made too much of a mess. Not a huge issue but symbolic of the customer being treated as a burden rather than a guest.

You know I don't understand how these stores are still open or how they stay open. Bought 2 bags of Milargonite. When I bought them 4/15/24 the lady at the register was nice. Came today 4/19 to return one bag I didn't use. The return was fine the problem was that when the lady printed the receipts she threw them on the counter next to her register instead of handing them to me. Really got on my nerves because a million things go thru your mind of why is she doing that? Really nice store but bad customer service at the register.

I was lost and all alone in the hardware aisle finding my sheetmetal screws and washers to accompany them but alas was out of thought for the last item I needed then he appeared, Greg. Greg helped me find the all too illustrious Nut coupler that I needed to finish the project I had started with my 2000 GMC Jimmy but Greg showed me the light as we sat and pondered for 10 to 15 minutes, me describing the strange hardware component to him and him understanding then suddenly he grabbed me by the hand and showed me where and what it was. My hero! Thank you Greg!

I had such a positive experience at this store! Went in to look at a specific grill and hopefully purchase it. Was greeted by a female employee (sorry to have forgotten her name) soon after walking in. She was very pleasant and helpful in trying to locate it (wasn't on the floor). The manager Henry quickly checked inventory in back, found one, and "sealed the deal" on my purchase, assuring me it would be assembled and delivered within 3-4 days. Checkout with Claudia was also super personable and nice! Went in again just hours before the delivery to purchase the propane tank. Henry greeted me with a big smile, introduced me to Steve, who'd assembled the grill (was relieved to see he looked like someone who knew what he was doing), and then took me to see my grill that would soon be delivered (I didn't request this). Next, he made a point to introduce me to the owner Mike, and let me know they'd be the ones delivering my grill. Delivery a short time later went great! Thank you to the team at Ace that made this such a positive experience from start to finish! ***I'd seen some of the negative reviews from the past and was initially hesitant to shop here. I'm glad I gave it a chance! Don't let negative past reviews steer you away. Things often change over time :)

This was not my 1st time visiting this store when doing side work in the area normally one can't get in the store without being approached for assistance. The young man appeared to be hiding because sure couldn't find him and when finally did he was not of much assistance and inventory for gas was of limited supply ended up going to big box market store for common part.
