Needed ski clothes - it had a been a while. Could not have been more pleased - my sales lady, Karen, did a great job! She really knew her stuff and was very helpful and efficient.

Don't go here for a ski boot fitting, They don't follow all the steps for boot fitting that the competent boot fitters do. In addition they aren't good enough in temperament or knowledge to stick to their guns on boot size recommendations. They also don't know enough about boot form fitting, hv va regular, or liner compression. Also, they have an extremely stingy return policy. 12 days to get a refund, 13 to 30 days to get a store credit, too bad after that.

I tried buying my wife a pair of skis here yesterday. I knew the exact model and size because she rented the same model last weekend in Utah. As the salesman was helping me, the gentleman that installs the bindings came out and asked what boots I was using. I showed him my wife's boots and he made a very rude comment "'I'd buy a new pair of boots before I bought those skis." I explained I am not buying new boots right now, and he responded "Well I am not going to install those boots with these skis". He was extremely rude and went out of his way to be a j**** I walked out, drove downtown and spent my $911 at Viking Ski shop, where i bought the exact same pair of Nordica Santa Ana 93s. To be certain, I will never step foot in Williams ski shop again.

Depsite being an avid skier that lives 10 minutes from Williams, I will never shop here again because the the way the sales staff treated me when I tried to purchase a pair skis for my wife here here. The employee was extremely rude for no reason, and told me he wouldn't install my wifes boots on the $700 pair of skis I was trying to buy because her boots were too old. His approach was completely unprofessional, I walked out, drove to Viking ski shop and of course they sold the same skis to me (for a better price!!) and installed bindings with my wife's boots. I will never spend another single dollar at Williams ski shop.

Just had a fantastic experience picking out new boots. Alan was extremely knowledgeable and helped me immensely in finding a more comfortable ski boot. Chad came over as well to add his expertise. Very appreciative for the terrific customer service and look forward to skiing in more comfortable boots.

I brought my Head Racing skiis to the Williams ski servive area so that I could get them freshly waxed for my trip to Sun Valley. Guess what? They refused to do the work saying my skiis were too old to be worked on. I explained that while the skiis-purchased in the mid 80's from Williams were not exactly new, I had not probably skied 25 to 30 days on them over the years because I got married and had three kids, leaving me with little time or budget to go skiing. The skiis were in good shape with very good bindings. The Williams folks said there was a liablity issue if a problem developed, but they could not explain what problem could occur from waxing the skiis. Exasperated, I left the store and vowed never to shop there again.Bruce Rehberger

We came here just to look. We ended up buying a house brand, North Shore, teak patio dining set. Kelsey was very nice and helpful. Not certain why their prices are so much higher than others. I guess time will tell if the product and their services are as good as they touted.

Word of mouth has kept this place a gem in Highland Park. 5 generation ownership and staff with over 100yrs of experience. Patio furniture is top notch. The ski shop is fully updated selling the best equipment and apparel. The rental and service shop services a wide variety of issues with skis, snowboards, cross country, tellamark, snowshoe, and even snow blades.As an ex employee, I can safely say I would shop here more if I could. They know their stuff and can fix problems, if their given a chance to. ?

My husband just retired and is going on a ski trip next month. He wanted a ski coat and pants and ended up with a few more items at Williams. We had the best service and was helped by Katrina who sure knew her stuff. What a pleasure to be taken care of by someone who truly knows what she is doing. It was a great experience and we will be back. Katrina is so nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Williams has been in business since the 1800s. They started with buggy tops, then went to awnings, then to patio furniture. Skis go well with patio furniture as the are both seasonal. Their ski service department was set up by an Austrian Master Ski Builder. Racers and jumpers have depended on the for over 60 years. There are employees in sales and service that have been there for over 30 years. The only shop that compares in our area is Viking. You can't go wrong with either.
