“Primrose is my absolute FAVORITE go to flower shop. I go there for any loved one’s birthday or special occasion and they always go above and beyond. All of the bouquets in these pics are custom made and all under $50 (most are $20-30). I just got my aunt a bouquet there last month and she said they lasted 2 full weeks!!! They are also so accommodating for however you want them wrapped and can even water pack it so the flowers can last longer out of water. One time they even helped me build a bouquet with handmade paper flowers that I brought in and did an AMAZING job. The quality and excellent customer service are truly unmatched. I love this place so much!!!”
“This place has quickly become my favorite nursery. They don't just carry your standard plants and pots like most places. They also have beautiful terrariums and different trinkets in case you want to build your own. Staff is incredibly courteous and helpful. Highly recommended!”

“I have a friend who is a passionate gardener as myself, so when her special 'milestone' birthday came along, I wanted to send her something she could eventually plant in her yard rather than a floral bouquet. I chose a pink azalea. Though I live in the western suburbs, I wanted to find a florist in her Jefferson Park neighborhood. I chose Wall's Flower Shop on Higgins but the website was redirected to Donna's Garden Flower Shop near Pulaski & Peterson. I spoke to Avi on the phone and he was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. This floral shop was extremely conscientious about delivering this fragile plant in the midst of our cold January weather. They called my friend and made sure she was home to receive it. She was extremely excited and thrilled to receive her gorgeous plant full of pretty pink buds. I will definitely recommend Wall's Flower Shop/Donna's Garden Flower Shop to all my Chicago friends!”

Prices may be higher than your average floral shop but Julie finds the best quality product on the market that look the most realistic. She is recommended all over the nation for her designs. You won't be disappointed! The customer service is also top notch. She really has the vision to understand what you are looking for. I would give 10 stars if possible”

“Best garden center in the city and suburbs. Nothing comes close. Was just there and the 2023 "overpriced" Xmas tree issue was a mistake... the trees had been mis-marked and the issue has been fixed. Bad mistake on Gethsemane's part? Yes, but the issue was rectified. I asked a salesperson about it because the trees all seemed to be fairly priced and similar to last year's prices... nothing like what I had read here on Yelp. The staff here actually know and care about plants, unlike other garden centers. If you want cheap, sunburnt petunias and marigolds? Go to Home Depot... no one's stopping you. But if you want better quality plants and a far better selection, go to Gethsemane and pay a little more. It's worth the extra money. The employees are awesome and give great advice and service. Possibly my favorite store in Chicago, period.”
“I went shopping for money trees the other day in the Edgewater area of Chicago and all of the Asian stores said they will not be selling them until May. So I waited the next day and start searching for plant stores in Niles and found these two money trees to replace the big ones so they can be repotted. The lady helping me find them in the store was very nice and she had very nice plants there. This will be my regular plant store for now. Very convenient and the prices are very good as well. Thanks for helping me find a nice birthday gift to myself!”

“Surprised to read negative reviews. This place is great! I have loads of plants from there (and other stores bc I have LOADS of plants in my house). None have ever been sick or infested. The store is adorable. They are far and above the most helpful staff. They will even repot a plant that isn’t even from their store (small fee) and offer advice. I brought in a sad peperomia which is now thriving thanks to Cultivate staff. They have a great selection of plants and pots. I like keeping mine in the containers, so I don’t mind no holes (and saucers take up space when your windows are already crowded). They’ll even drill a hole if you want it (small fee). It’s a business in Evanston- I think the prices are fair. If you want cheap plants and no service, try a HD.PS- they also have local artisan jewelry and a nice rewards program. I drive 35 mins to go specifically to this store.”

I called Pesche's Des Plaines store to order flowers for a funeral, they were so nice and helpful and I was told by many how beautiful, one said spectacular and colorful the arrangement was! “This is the store I usually go to for garden supplies. The store is always clean and well organized, with friendly associates. I had great experience at the store today when picking up 8 bags of garden soil by myself. The store associate Umar generously helped me haul the loaded cart to my car and loaded all of them into my trunk. I would highly recommend this store to anyone in the neighborhood.”
