Went in for an issue regarding my car and Brian was wonderful. He was honest, helpful, relatable, knowledgeable, and seemed to really care about me as a customer. He gave me peace of mind regarding the issue. I would definitely come here for car needs. Thanks to the owner for his choice of hire.

Havoline Xpress Lube in Fox Lake, IL. Do not go to this place, they are dishonest and will try to up charge you. I will never go back. I went in for the $19.99 oil change and came out paying over $35. Now to be fair my car does take 6 quarts of oil which most places do charge extra for anything over 5 quarts. However, they told me that had to replace the oil drain bolt because it has some metal savings on it. They did not tell me about this before replacing it, only after the oil change was completed. So I had no way to say NO to this. Then they proceeded to tell me that you have to change out the oil drain bolt every 3rd oil change. This is a total load of cr@p. When I questioned this they showed me some oil drain bolt they claimed to have replaced. I don't know if it was mine. So I figured I would keep it since it was mine and I paid for the new one. Then they said they needed to keep the bolt because they had to turn it in, like a core charge or something. This is another total load of cr@p. There are core charges for things like starters and alternators, not for bolts. If this is how they handle a routine oil change, I shutter to think what they do to customers who come in for more advance repair work. Steer clear of this place, there are other places with honest mechanics.

I drove into the parking lot to see if if there was a number on the side of the building bc I couldnt find one online and I was trying to refer someone with multiple company vehicles (12) to them bc the location is perfect for them. I chose to park at an exit instead of blocking the front door or garage because there wasnt any parking on the side big enough for my vehicle. (mind you there are 2 other entrances) anyway I literally got up and looked out my back window for the

I was in a panic. I was driving my son's car and a light came on. I checked the oil while I stopped to get gas. The stick showed no oil. I drove immediately to Xpress Lube. Brian helped me. The car needed 3 qts, and it only held 4! Brian charged me NOTHING! Support your neighborhood businesses! Brian's got mine!!

He broke my dipstick and complained about doing the oil change. I told him I was dissatisfied he promised a refund. Then he lied and said his boss changed his mind. Don't go there its bad service and a scam they will damage your car. Report them to BBB like I did.
