Google, please help! I want to not give this location even one star!!Rude, rude, rude staff!!!! Never in my life have I encountered such blatant rudeness. I’m not a truck driver and somehow could not move the truck forward. Asked two gentlemen (actually, not gentleman but foulmouth psychopaths) to help me out. They work there and it’s their job. First one, a younger African American fellow who adorned a cowboy hat, came out swinging at me. Why did I point the key at him? What?! He told me he couldn’t help me out now and to basically go Fluck myself. Then, the lady inside at the counter, sent another deranged fellow with me. He’s also an African American fellow with a long bushy beard and has a stocky built. He looked visibly angry and highly aggressive. “You’d have to give me $100 if I’m able to move the truck forward!” And this: “You (brown) guys only know how to take, take, take and take and never to give anything back!” Then he angrily hops onto the truck and is able to move it forward… he goes forward about 30-40 feet, gets out of the truck, slams the door hard, looks at me indignantly and in sheer disgust and walks off.

Rude, discourtesies staff. I wasn't able to move my rental truck forward for some reason (perhaps, the handbrake was still on). I'm not a professional truck driver so don't know. I asked an employee to help me out. He angrily refused because he thought I was impolite to him as I'd tried to hand him over the key:) Talk about a queen of a silly excuse! The lady at the inside counter then sent another crass, unhinged, highly upset guy to help me out. "You owe me $100 if I'm able to move the truck forward," he immediately uttered. "You (brown guys) only know how to take, take, take and take and never give anything back," he was sweating through seething anger. Then somehow we made a slight inadvertent bodily contact while walking out together, it was enough to set off another furious outburst from him "Don't touch me! Don't you dare touch me!" We are now by the truck. He angrily hops on and is able to move the truck forward... he goes forward about 30-40 feet, gets out of the truck, slams the door hard, looks at me indignantly and in sheer disgust, walks off.

Poorly stocked with packing materials (besides boxes), and the packing material quality had gone WAY down. The bubble wrap is so thin, it pops just holding it while wrapping. The truck/parking area is convoluted and crowded, making getting around safely difficult. And, they have an advertising sign permanently mounted IN THE ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPOT.

Service at the store was great. My only complaints were that they didn't have a dolly when I picked up the truck, even though I reserved one at the same time I reserved the truck. Also, I did the checkout process after store hours, so I had to use the app. The app crashed on me before I was finished with the checkout process and I had to call customer service at midnight. Thankfully the checkout went through and they sent me a receipt.

I reserved the vehicle online and when I got that it was ready and had a full tank of gas. The associate who checked it out in the morning was polite and helpful. She even found a discount for me that I wasn't expecting. However, when I returned the vehicle, I had to wait for an unreasonably long time for an associate to check it back in.

just moved and utilized a 15’ uhaul truck from this location. if you are planning on a DIY move, this place is cheap and accommodating. i was surprised at how affordable boxes were as well. staff was helpful and friendly. would recommend.

Terrible experience. No parking available for customers because the equipment is in the parking spaces. I was told to park on the street. I ended up leaving because the guy working was so in helpful.

We needed to move two couches, each has measured 93 inches in length. I was vary at first that the cargo van would fit the couches but it did. This location is great! So much better than any I've been to. It's clean, the people were friendly, helpful and pressure free. They sell you for what you need and that makes it great to pick up the truck or anything there!Their indoor area is also kept clean and lots of space. The boxes are nicely stacked.Check in was easy and service was helpful.The van was new with 580 miles! I was so happy and the van was new so it road very smoothly and smelled still new. I was also surprised to see the rear view mirror had a camera built in when reversing with made me more comfortable and relieve to drive a big van. The side mirrors too had the dual mirror where one of it has the wide view to see the blind spots, which was so helpful.I had loaded my coaches easily and the trip was fun. Driving that new van was also quite enjoyable. With the app, the after hours drop off made it super easy.I'm intimidated no more now and I'll take that van across the country as it's so fun to drive!

I just recently did a move and I was taken care of by Jorge. He didn't treat me like a number even though they were really busy. I ordered a trailer at first, when I got there, we found out that my fuse to connect the trailer was blown so Jorge helped me secure a small truck for a great price. I appreciate this customer service and going the extra mile to help customers.A couple weeks later, I needed boxes so I returned to the store and DJ Jackson assisted me. He explained in detail the different box options and prices. His help ease my shopping. This made me feel good as customer. I want to thank both Jorge and DJ Jackson for their good customer service. Although, I felt a little uncomfortable for Jorge taking my picture on a cellphone just to rental truck.

This location is barely a tick above the worst location in the area, Uptown. You can pay extra for 24 access to your unit but if you accidently forget to "check out" you know, if you're in a hurry or something, they will suspend your 24 hr access without notifying you. This left me stranded with a friend's van packed full of things at 1am. Customer service can verify that you have 24hr access but because of security reasons they cannot do a single thing to help you out. They will try to call the store manager but you can be sure that he will not answer. Also , if you are at the location after normal hours, you know during the time you paid extra for, random alarms will go off in the loading dock alerting the Evanston police. They will come inside and make sure to accuse you of trespassing and try to convince you that you are crazy and 24hr access doesn't exist. They almost arrested a friend of mine. I think I'll be switching to a place that cares whether I'm legitimately there or not

My son rented a truck from here on the last day of the month which he needed to move out of his apartment. They overbooked by 4 people. He is an hour away and no way to move out. Terrible Uhaul company.
