I shopped at many Goodwills, this one is a mess. There are more employees on the floor than shoppers and they block each isle and you can’t look at anything. I understand they need to be there but any other thrift-store I’ve been to, they always make room or move out of your way. Not here, they knock you over. Every time I wanted to pick up something, an employee had to pass in front of me or stop there, every single time. Exhausting trying to dodge them.

Crazy pricing and condescending manager. I bought some yearly Christmas plates. 8 each marked .99. There was another one identical to one I was buying. That was 2.99 and I asked why they all weren’t the same price. The manager took this attitude and told me that the .99 ones were at the wrong price. Like it was my fault. But she would let me have them for the price they were marked. Excuse me?!?! I replied that it was a law and yes, I would ( and already was) be charged the marked price. She said it all again, like trying to guilt me. And again I said that yes, it was a law to sell at the marked price.

Crabby Hispanic lady( mid 40s) who works in the front and also in the floor was vocal about the way I was browsing the clothing rack. I’m not a messy person but It seemed to upset her that one of the hangers of one the dresses was a bit off. Very rude and uncalled for. Luckily the rest of the employees are not as tacky and unprofessional as her.Clothes were ok. I found some unique clothing items. I also found several office items that I needed for class.

I have had two very rude encounters with an employee that works in the donation center where you drop off your donations. I talked with two different people about this, but find the behaviors of the person to be so negative that I will not donate at this store again. I wish someone would talk with the woman I complained about, but her behavior and comments are exactly the same. She chastises people for not dropping off items in bags and her last statement was aggressive and rude. I asked her not to talk to me and instead talk with her manager.

The short Mexican lady who works the front will follow you around and profile you. So if you’re going to the dressing room be prepared to see a lady who was staring at you at the front of the store when you walked in, to teleport to the back and try to make you a suspect. While you have others with full bags going into the dressing room. She’s a scumbag and shouldn’t be working here…

I abs love it here the employees are nice some are friendly. THE CUSTOMERS LOVES ME !!!! Iove the enthusiasm that they give me. I'm happy to help when I need too. It's just a new opportunity and a blast for me. Thank you Ed and Liz for making me be a part of the team. May God bless you both ?

Horrible staff. I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years and I still prefer the Skokie Touhy location. Their staff is much more respectful, friendly, and helpful. Evanston location’s staff is always rude, I’m sorry but they unfortunately look like they hate their job and I can always overhear them complaining about a customer or complaining to eachother in general. Goodwill Evanston staff yells at their customers for bringing more than a few things into the fitting room and yells at customers when it is close to closing time. They do not treat customers like human beings who have families and lives. I’ve avoided writing a review all these years but after this many encounters with different staff in that location, please consider team building and community development to build relationships and customer service skills. I hope this aspect of your location gets better at some point because I love secondhand shopping and do not want to give fast fashion my money. It’s a let down every time I come there even though I have 10+ items in hand I’m interested in buying, I always end up dropping it and leaving without anything because of the customer service. Thanks for always making us feel like animals for wanting to shop around. Please do better as fellow human beings.

Prices here are average. Usually well staffed. The stock at this store usually rotates through pretty regularly and the store is clean.

I donated plenty of times at this Goodwill,Evanston. I did it again today and decided to check their store. The store is clean and organized. The cashier was friendly and polite . I am glad that my donations are put to a good use. Keep up the good work.
