I would give negative stars if I could. Always document your conversations with anyone from here. I had a reservation through insurance because my car was involved in a hit and run accident which has been stressful on it's own. I was to drop my car off at the body shop Tues Feb 13th and my insurance company was handling the rental car w/ Enterprise because that's the only rental place in town they are approved to use. I got a call from a lady w/ Enterprise on Monday Feb 12th saying the reservation was for Wed Feb 14th at 10:30am. I told the lady that it was supposed to be for Tuesday because that's when my vehicle needed to be dropped off at the body shop. Apparently this annoyed her because she replied with an angry tone that all they had was Wed at 10:30am. Ok, fine, I'll make it work. I was dropped off by a co-worker at the Enterprise store Wed at 10:30am only for the manager Tj to inform me the reservation was Thurs at 7am. I told him it was supposed to be for Tues originally but a girl called Monday and told me Wed at 10:30am. He said no, it's in here for Thurs at 7 am but he would try to make it work. Ok, no big deal, I can wait. While I was waiting, I asked when it was changed in the system and asked if anyone attempted to call me to inform me of the change. Tj replied that no, it was never changed, it had originally been set for Thurs at 7am and I must have misheard her when she called me. This upset me because I did not hear her wrong, I know the difference between Wed and Thurs. He replied that if I didn't like it, I was more than welcome to go somewhere else for a vehicle. Well Tj, no I cannot because my insurance company reserved this rental and informed me they only work with Enterprise in town so that wouldn't be an option for me. He stated that was not true and he was not 'arguing' with me. That I misheard the girl and I could go somewhere else for a rental because my insurance company does work with other rental places. It is absolutely APPALLING the lack of accountability Tj took and even more appalling that he was blaming me, implying that I was LYING and his only solution was for me to go somewhere else. What a way to run a business and retain customers! I was then taken to a minivan when a sedan was reserved for me. I asked them why it was a minivan instead of a sedan and that I did not want to have to deal with the price of gas in a minivan vs a sedan as the vehicle was reserved for me to use through the 23rd. I was again told (by Ren this time) that if I didn't like it, I could go somewhere else. I explained to him that no I couldn't and I didn't have time for this because I had to return to work. I was highly stressed out at this point by the situation and the lack of customer service in this place. I texted my husband since he was dealing with the insurance company to tell him what was going on. Fast forward a few minutes... My husband then called me to figure out what was happening. As I was sitting in the driver seat of the vehicle speaking with my husband, I signed the contract on the IPad handed to me by Ren and gave him my credit card for the deposit. He ran my credit card then told me because I was 'being disrespectful' in my conversation with MY HUSBAND, he was voiding the contract. I told him my conversation with my husband was not his business and the conversation was not even about him as I was telling my husband what happened with the lady who called me and the unprofessionalism of Tj the manager so I was unsure why he would be upset? He stated that I was talking about what he does and he didn't like it then in a raised voice, told me to get out of the vehicle! Who does that?! Lol power trip much? I placed a call into the corporate customer service line and was told a regional manager would reach out to me as the rep I spoke with was also highly appalled with the way the employees of this store behaved. I have not heard from a regional manager at this point so maybe they're already aware of these employees

Ok to start off, at first I was a little annoyed with Enterprise because the day of my booking they didn't have ANY standard SUV vehicles available. NOTHING! Nada!! I was so upset because I needed a vehicle since I was planning to leave the following morning!!Then Makenzie, if that's how you spell it, called me and said they had something and would come pick me up. I did not like the vehicle and felt like it was way too small to accommodate myself, 3 kids, and a huge car seat!! Makenzie was really cool about it and let me know that she'd reach out once they got something else. She called a couple of times with vehicles I wasn't interested in, but she finally gave me a call and had a Ford. She came and picked me up and I was like hell no!!The turn around came when I got to the store. They were just finishing up a 4Runner and honestly, it was THE ONE! The trunk space was amazing! There was more than enough room and it was great on the road!!On a side note, there was this one guy there Justin.. He took care of me when I came in and was so funny and sweet!! He made me promise that I would bring the car back in one piece and I'm like “Boy Stop!” I've been driving for over 20 years lol!! Needless to say Justin was very friendly!! Justin, the car came back in one piece!! Hahahaha!!Thank you guys for a great experience!

Great customer service. Everyone is really friendly, especially the manager Tj.. They helped us get a vehicle that fit our needs quickly and efficiently. Will definitely use them again!

I use this rental car company often. The only one I will go to honestly. I always use the Decatur location on Water St. All of the staff are helpful and friendly every time. The vehicles are always cleaned like they are showroom ready. Kyier Reynolds does a great job of finding me a vehicle that suits my needs and the kids just love to see her. She finds a way to include them in the process and they just love that.

Record every conversation you have with someone at this enterprise location.I drove an Enterprise rental from St. Louis to Decatur where I purchased a vehicle from Miles Chevrolet down the street from the Decatur Enterprise office. When I was through with the new vehicle purchase, I called this Enterprise office and spoke to Hayer, who instructed me to leave the rental at the Miles Chevrolet collision center. I then called right back and asked Hayer where to leave the keys and she told me to leave the keys at the collision center desk, which I did on November 8th.On November 10th, I noticed a charge from Enterprise hit my bank account. I called the office in St. Peters, MO where I picked the vehicle up. They informed me the vehicle had not been checked in. After I explained the situation, they called the Decatur office, where they said nobody knew anything about it. I immediately called the collision center counter at Miles Chevrolet where I was told the vehicle was still there waiting for pickup and they had called the Decatur Enterprise office multiple times to remind them the vehicle was there waiting for pick up.It was November 14th before the Decatur office felt it convenient to pick up the vehicle from the collision center at Miles Chevrolet. Enterprise then wanted to charge me for the 6 additional days between when I left the vehicle down the street for pick up and when the Decatur office finally made it around to getting the vehicle and checking it in. I am still battling with them over the situation.In short, the rep I spoke with at this location did not fulfill her responsibility in communicating our conversation to anyone else and then when it came up again 2 days later, the kind people at this office tried to hang me out to dry by saying they didn't know anything about picking up the vehicle. Thankfully the employee at the collision center deck at Miles Chevrolet could vouch for me and emphasize she had called multiple times to let them know the vehicle was there waiting for them to pick it up.If you should need to deal with with this Enterprise office, I would encourage you to record every conversation you have with them and make sure to get the full name of everyone you speak with.

I rent from Enterprise in Decatur several times a year. Justin is always super friendly and helpful. They did not have the vehicle type that I originally reserved on my most recent visit but they were able to accommodate my needs with a vehicle that actually turned out better in the long run.

I had a great experience with TJ’s customer service. He really put his foot forward to help me with this experience. The detailer team Sam and Terry also was in point to get me on the road quick as possible. There efforts really helped me get on the road in a timely fashion. This was a 100% experience!!! Thanks, I’ll choose Enterprise hands down!

I have absolutely boycotted Enterprise in SpringfieldThis location in Decatur should give customer service training to the Springfield location. The staff here is amazing, friendly, and professional. They made sure i had a car and at a decent rate. The car they gave me was super clean and nice. It was a charger which suprised me for a rental car but he literally pulled it out of the wash bay for me to take.I will drive the 2 hour round trip drive to rent from the Decatur location before i drive the 10 minutes to rent from Springfield where i live.Can yall here in Decatur please go work in Springfield or at least train the ataff there to be like yall cuz yall are the best!!!

They told me to park next store. They don’t even own the lot. My car got towed. They tell me they’re not responsible for it. I now have a $275 tow fee to pay for on top of my full rental. Update, they told me they’re not paying for it. I guess I’m taking them to small claims court.
