After working with Avis for 5 years all across the country I can confirm this place has the worst staff in the country. After making a reservation I was denied service here 2 days before Thanksgiving. The lady working the counter needs to find a new line of work customer service is not her strong suit. I had rented from Avis in multiple international airports this year, but this was the only location with special policies that only they enforce. Save you time, money and headache go literally anywhere else for your travel needs

Made a reservation the day before and went to pick up. Then was told all the cars were damaged and needed repairs but the head guy refuses to tow them to do so..how are you still in Business???

0 stars. Literally booked a rental through Priceline- go the day before to confirm since they couldn’t answer the phone the 10 times I called the week before. Sure enough, no car for us. Told us the reservation was for Bloomington even though priceline said not it wasn’t & I had a confirmation email with the Decatur airport on it. Of course Bloomington didn’t answer the phone either. Worst rental experience ever. Avoid this place as all costs.

I will never ever rent from them again! I returned the car on time and they still charged me for a extra day. Then the next rental I had they told me a month later I had damage to the windshield which was a lie and took 300$ from me for it but couldnt show me proof that it had to be fixed. Literally the worst experience I've ever had. I'll tell everyone I know not to go to their Avis/budget location. I've rented from them so many times and these last 2 times were miserable. Just goes to show that cheaper is not always better. Never again!

One of the employees and SHE needs to find a new job. Rudeness doesn't work in this type of business. The gentleman was very professional and respectful.

The rentals that I had reserved was supposed to hold seven people come fully and five large luggage. However, when we arrive at the Bloomington Airport in Illinois, the vehicle that was giving with Farris mall yes it hail seven people but it did not hold. The amount of luck is that it was supposed to hold there for me, and my family had to put luggage underneath 5 feet inside the vehicle in the drivers underneath stage of the passenger seat, each child had to have a suitcase underneath their feet or in their hand. This was ridiculous because we was traveling also traveling in a storm, which meant that if we had had an accident is that the Lachish is self worth of calls more damage than any other incident? I try to talk to the Avis representative at the airport and he is his suggested was that we get a 12 feet cargo vehicle. This was not an adequate substitute for a vehicle that they should’ve had at the airport when we arrive. I had requested the vehicle in enough time for them to make sure that they had to appropriate vehicle for my trip. In June, July and July when I travel to use Avis, the customer service rep at that time, was smart enough to make sure that the vehicle that was requested at match, the requirement for the forming. But apparently this rap did not want to rectify the problem and wanted me to call all over Avis all over Eleanor for at Avis in order to try to fix the problem.

Avis was a good place to rent but the the customer service is horrible at this location not a good look for Decatur airport is already small having issues with keeping flights to Chicago..Avis karen employee needs to work on herHer people skills if all issues is with her look like she is the bad seed..

Terrible service! Rude Karen is condecending & talks to customers like they are children. Typical Decatard! I would suggest using Enterprise. Ive never had a problem with Enterprise and they are always polite.

We reserved a car with my wife online, only to be told that we couldn't get it at the front desk because she prepaid for it and my name was on the reservation. Keep in mind the website did not see anything wrong with my name and using her card. So we called customer service the 800 number and after back and forth of discussing the matter they said I'll transfer you over to a supervisor to resolve the matter and hung up on us...this is definitely the worst customer service I've seen and experienced. I worked customer service for nearly 10 years and that is very disrespectful and unprofessional.

Kia optima...nice car. Just hate the ?. Can't warm up and lock. Service was a little better this time around. Seemed to be irritated by me so at first a little " smart assy" and abrasive at my pick up. Drop of however, went very smoothly. Bad experiences can get better if you give them a chance. Hopefully next time will be even easier. Not trying to make their jobs hard but I am booked through my employer and they yell at me everytime about the booking. Maybe address that to the union I am through? Because I don't control that. It's not fair when someone is treated badly for the lacking of others. See ya next time.?

The price was 500. We returned with the car and the price jumped to 800. Fees they didn’t tell us about and we said “why do you guys do this?” The worker said “you just need to plan your trips better”! How could we possible “plan better” if we were not told we had to account for a whole 300 DOLLARS !This place is garbage and we will never be going back.
