Had a wonderful time with my 1983 lincoln mark vi and everybody was very nice at the caffeine and chrome show I've since then had my lincoln painted and I'm ready to start coming to more weekend show I love Gateway ❤️

Purchase of a 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe from Gateway Classic Cars Chicago was literally a perfect experience. The car was ready to go, and Showroom Manager Brittani Myers had the deal papered within an hour of my arrival from Las Vegas. Accuracy: 100%. Again, within 6o minutes, the car was burning gas and we were on our way back to Las Vegas. Times have changed since my first purchase from Gateway Classic Cars (St. Louis) in 2001, but the customer experience remains excellent and consistent. Many thanks to Brittani and Eric!

I am giving 2 stars because they were good to work with but unfortunately, the truck I bought was nothing like Kevin the salesman had discussed with me. I would think that a truck or car would need to have working lights and horn. The paint was nothing like the picture's described but I will have to live with it and spend some $$$$ to get it legal to drive.

Today I went Crete IL location to consign my car. Nick ( no idea his position there) asked me what I wanted. I said $19,500 he told me they would list it for $27,000. I said you won’t sell it for $27,000 it’s not worth that much money. I understand haggle price, but this is absurd. I said, l’m not looking for storage. Here’s my point. Use another company. To mark up my car by 40% is flat out greedy on their part. Further, keep this in mind when you are making an offer. Unless you are buying a 1 of 1 take your business elsewhere.

Unfortunately they'll bait you into their store then tell you your classic car is worth $2-3K by tearing it apart after you've paid over $15K for it from another classic car dealership. Not good either way for a consumer looking to invest in the classic car industry. Good luck.

Definitely would not recommend! I purchased a car from them about 9 years ago. I wanted to sell it two years ago and they wouldn't take it because of the rust on the underside. They sold me the car with all the rust!! Fine....I fixed all of it. Brought the car back about a month ago and they wouldn't take it for consignment again...said the brakes were bad. I took the car home and adjusted the brakes. I brought the car backThe next day and they said the brakes were still not good enough. They don't stand by anything they sell. And the sold me a ton of problems. Will never go backWell, I respect the position of the owner and his response below, they did not accept my vehicle back on consignment. Supposedly because the brakes had an issue. I removed the rear tires and checked the entire braking system. These items were set correctly per spec. It appears they did everything in their position not to except this car on consignment. I just want people to know what they're getting into when they deal with Gateway. I have since moved on and my car is available elsewhere for purchase. I just wanted to point out that there was nothing wrong with the car, the brakes were fine, the car was 100 times better than when I purchased it, and a brand new engine.

The show was great ?. My hubby really enjoyed Chrome and Coffee. Messed the doughnuts but enjoyed the scenery even more. Awesome CARS!
