Let me tell you about a lil health fitness studio called The Good Life in CCH. I literally felt like I was stuck in an endless rut before finding this place about three weeks ago. Yes, three weeks and I already feel like this place has had a major impact on me and my fitness goals. Here's why... First of all, the owner, Mary (Coach) Parr, is an amazing person. She is just as positive when you meet her in person as she is when you read her testimony on her website or if you talk to her over the phone. I told her that I was still relatively a newbie to the area and had been searching for the past three years for that fitness place to call home, with all my fitness needs under one roof. After having been through a few disappointing memberships with chain gyms I decided to search for smaller studios offering possibly the same setup. This began to feel like a lost cause too. So I narrowed down my qualifications to boxing gyms. Why not? This is where I found The Good Life snuggling and nestled all out of place. So I called...talked to Ms. Mary and found out it's not a boxing gym at all. It's much more. Fast forward to my initial meeting with her and I was sold on what she had to offer. She was very open to questions and took time to listen to what my goals were and how best to help me conquer them. Best thing is she's been in the same place as her clients so she knows the struggles faced. You can see her ridiculous transformation online. That too was another reason why I picked up the phone to call. I need that type of transformation in my life! Go ahead and take a look! ... I'll wait. I was quickly sold based on her personal story, knowledge and evidence of true results. The studio itself is a pretty good size equipped with all those things you hate, i.e. Medicine ball, weights, dumbbells, the heavy duty ropes, boxing gloves, jump ropes, resistance tubes, mats (you can always bring your own, I keep forgetting)... there's a treadmill for warm ups. I hate that guy! Lol The studio may be a little hard to find at first, but it's literally in the Heritage Plaza mall on 183rd Street where the sign is plastered on the building. The first business that will jump out at you is a barber shop, I believe it's called Next, but if you walk just beyond there towards the back you will find The Good Life. The name speaks for itself. She also does monthly specials. Check her out....I'm doing personal training with nutrition at a price I'd have never paid going through a chain gym. I win! In conclusion, I love this place and yet I've never worked out so hard in my life. I am already seeing results and can't wait to see what the next few weeks will bring. It would be remiss of me not to give a shout out to the TGL family. These ladies are so hardcore, all ages, shapes and sizes working hard to reach/maintain fitness goals while being each other's biggest cheerleader. I love the vibe with these women. Every workout they keep going until they reach 1,000 calories burned!! No lie...they are straight beast mode and it's all love! Super special shout out to Ms. Shenka. She's Ms. Mary's assistant and I don't think I've ever seen someone with such a phenomenal commitment to fitness. She pushes everyone to challenge themselves...calls out the craziest exercise routine and pushes you to try. Low and behold you realize that you can do it and you're feeling like you can conquer the world! Shenka is ultimate beast mode chick and the TGL ladies hang with her...they never quit! #beastisbeauty So that's my story/review! CHECK OUT TGL! You will not be disappointed. I'm on my way to a healthier lifestyle thanks to this place....working on my rewards!
