DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Gosh, was this a whirlwind. My partner and I took over a sublease from two young women who 'needed to move to Texas' quickly. We toured and looked at these Google reviews (which we now know have clearly been doctored). Once we made it to Yelp to some more honest, yet shortly dated, reviews, we were horrified yet felt validated in our experience. DO NOT LIVE HERE! Especially if you are young or queer. We had a twelfth floor apartment. In the time we lived there, both elevators went out several times, leaving us with the option to use the *spooky* freight elevator with many other residents or walk. While the bed bugs and roaches (hopefully) didn't reach us while we were there, two floors in the building had to be exterminated and dogs had to come to the entire apartment building for a search. After leaving town for literally ONE week, the bedroom had black mold growing up the wall and the apartment was infested with flies. It was clearly a long-time internal issue, although we saw the unit listed online just a couple of weeks later, so I doubt it was truly fixed and rather just painted over. The building reeked of cigarettes and urine most of the time. The maintenance crew walked through our home as if it was their own, making messes and making themselves comfortable. Upon move in, our kitchen sink wasn't working. They brought someone in multiple times for several hours without warning (we work from home, so this was tough), opened up the WALL (without telling us), and left a mess. Only to leave the water barely working, if not even worse. We paid for two air conditioning units through the apartment, only for them to be poorly installed, barely working, and internally moldy. We had several unfortunate and uncomfortable encounters with residents in the building, not to mention those who sit in the lobby and watch you as you walk by every day. They have a gym, although we got multiple emails in the time we lived there about equipment being stolen or broken. My partner and I did not feel safe walking around the complex independently, let alone outside of it at night. We were both separately cat-called, and I was chased. We decided to move out less than a week after living there due to feeling unsafe in our identities and never fully unpacked, only to be released from the lease when the mold appeared. Jason was helpful, validating, and reassuring throughout the experience. He was incredibly genuine and seemed like he wanted to support us. Rob was a gaslighting, stereotypical, way-too-confident, building manager. Rob would pretend to listen to our issues, deny everything we said or somehow attempt to excuse it, gaslight us, and not actually listen to our issues. When we brought the mold to his attention, before even seeing it, Rob denied it. When he finally came to our apartment to see it, he was similarly mortified (because... what in the world?!??!?!?!). We never wanted to go to Rob with our concerns because he was genuinely so aggressively unhelpful and arguably discriminatory and patronizing of our identities. While the cost of the apartment seems pretty for the space you get, save yourself the time and cost of having to move a second time. This place is literally falling apart and should be shut down. TLC is taking advantage of their residents in so many capacities with this complex. I was lucky enough to have support and resources to help us get out, but so many others are not so lucky. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!

Edit: Photo of expired elevator inspection (taken 8/20/2024)
Arguably the worst place I’ve rented.
Infestation problems, uninvolved management, dangerous elevators (one is hasn’t been inspected in over 2.5 years).

The leasing staff were super nice and helpful. They took their time to make sure everything was in order. The lobby is incredible. I cant wait to move in.
Edit: Its been 5 wonderful years. I loved this place. To bad I got evicted because of something that could have been and ultimately was resolved.
Don't be black, brown or mentally ill if you want to move here. The new manager is cleaning house.

I fell in love with the place when Jason gave me a tour and helped me find my dream apartment. I thought the place was gorgeous with nice facilities, and Jason really went the extra mile to help me qualify for my apartment. He answered all of my questions and was genuinely kind to all of the current residents as they passed by. I can’t wait to move in!

The apartments were okay, but dirty. The elevators were rusty and old. Lastly, the assistant manager, the person who showed me the units , was passive aggressive and rude the entire time. I did not like it.
