Unfortunately I was not able to check in early and had to pay an extra 45 dollars a night to upgrade my room so that I could check in early. After paying extra to upgrade and check in early the room was not stocked and ready and did not have soap so I had to call the front desk and have it brought up. Upon leaving we were asked to move from the "restaurant seating" and not eat outside food there even though multiple people were sitting there not eating just on laptops or talking on the phone. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.

I have never been treated anywhere near as terribly as the front desk staff here. I came by at 11am to drop off my luggage prior to my 3pm check-in, only to return at 2:15pm to be told that I’ve been put in a queue and that my 3pm check in was no longer promised. They did not provide me any valid reason for I was not added to this queue when I first spoke to front desk staff at 11am that morning.Absolutely abhorrent business practice. Overpriced hotel for motel 8 quality service.

Awesome experience at this hotel. Beautiful rooms and views, fantastic hotel staff, and so much to do right in the heart of downtown Chicago!

I bought this room via Hotwire. Rooms were clean and serviced were efficient. I was placed in an accessible room that was right next to the elevator bank, so the elevators could easily be heard from my room.

From cheap to pricey.

I was in the shower around 9am and didn’t hear the door and the cleaning ladies were about to walk in!!!!!!!!! I called the service desk and they said that they go in if no one answers and the Do not disturb sign is not on the door! Check out time was noon. I felt my privacy being violated. I was not told that the sign had to be up so one would enter my room. Will definitely it stay there again! I feel like they don’t care about people’s privacy.

Attended conference here and it's a great place for that.

We were there for a conference and the overall experience was a resounding “average” in every way. Whilst many of the banners and messaging around the hotel talked of exemplary service, in reality it just didn’t happen. No mini bar, $14.00 per day for wifi (that’s mental), $6 for a small water. Bathrooms are old and dated. This is a 2-3 star hotel at best. We won’t be back.

Great location. Rooms are very clean. Very friendly and professional workers. Palm restaurant that is in the hotel is delicious. Great steaks and one of the best burgers in the city. Bar is very friendly.

This hotel is the only one of its kind in North America and let me say that this hotel is insanely beautiful. I'm very, very happy that I got to spend the weekend here. Everything from my arrival, everything during my stay, even our check out experience and valet experience was perfect. Every staff member was so attentive. Honestly I don't know what the best part of this hotel was, but the views are insane. Are a room was very large, and very clean. The bathroom was extremely luxurious I spent so much time in the bathtub! ? I would highly recommend this hotel to families, couples, or anyone needing some me time.

Great hotel, very comfortable and clean rooms. It was exceptionally quiet in my room, which I appreciated. Nice views of the lake. The gym is well equipped on the top floor and got to see the sunrise during my workout. Would stay here again.Walkability: A couple of blocks from the heart of downtown chicago. Very easy to walk everywhere.Food & drinks: The Palm restaurant is inside this hotel

Good location. Decent rooms. Beware that they charge you a $20 Junk Fees called 'Urban Experience fees'. The fees gives you nothing worthwhile, unless you want to wake up early to get the complementary coffee from 5 AM to 6 AM!To their credit, if you protest enough then they might remove it after a lot of push back. But it is junk fees nevertheless.

Late check out request declined. “Don’t have anyone to bring up small tooth brush for you”. Bathroom has zero water pressure. No complimentary breakfast. No mini bar or snacks in the room. They have two water bottles in there with a sticker of “$10” on each!!!! $10 for a hotel water!!! Pretty poor and somewhat rude staff at the front desk. You get the point here kind of a whatever type of hotel. Mattress of terrible quality and broken in real nice. lol. Also the world’s dumbest elevators with no buttons inside where you just gotta ride it and hope you end up in the lobby. Def not worth the $400/night
