Unfortunately, probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. I had to fix the fitted sheets because it came off both ends of the bed (never had this issue at a hotel). There was makeup on the pillow and an eye lash on the pillow which made me wonder if the sheets were changed prior to our stay. The bathroom sink had no water pressure and it took forever for the water to get hot. It was a nightmare getting the temp just right since the knob was so sensitive. I just had to deal with it being ice cold. Terrible terrible lighting. My makeup looked like shades I was unfamiliar with. I had to hope that my makeup looked right when I left the hotel room. Lamp outlets did not work. I couldn’t get my iphone charger to work on any outlet (and I tested it by plugging in something that would turn on while plugged in). Got home and my charger works perfectly fine. Not a good experience and will not be staying here again.

This is our second stay at the Residence Inn Chicago downtown/loop. First and foremost the staff has been extremely accommodating and polite, professional and genuinely nice! As you arrive on the second floor, check in, the lobby is clean and attractive. On this floor you can enjoy sitting in the lounge to relax, pull up a chair at the bar in the evening and have a complimentary breakfast (hot and cold foods) in the morning. The rooms are nice size with a kitchen, microwave/oven and cooktop along with dishes and pots for cooking. Full size fridge great for longer stays (which we do when we are in Chicago visiting family). There is a nice desk as I often work remotely a few of the days when we are in town and there is a separate bedroom with a door that provides privacy and a bit of quiet when I'm up working early and the better half is still asleep. There is a workout facility on site as well. I will continue to come back to this hotel for our regular trips to Chicago based on the above as well as its convenient location.

Location is great, beautiful architecture around to look out at, and overall roomy and comfortable. The front desk is on the 2nd floor, so I was confused the first time when the lobby desk told me where to go, but it felt more secure. I was on the 3rd floor, and the traffic noise was very little. I was able to sleep with no interruptions, which speaks volumes to my own light sleeping patterns. Highly recommend and would definitely use in the future!!

Good points:1. Large rooms.2. Good location.3. Friendly staff.Bad points:1. Two days they did not clean the room.2. Room service is not room service, we had to go down and leave the hotel to pick up the food.3. The buffet is confusing, it seems like anyone can enter since they don't ask for your room number.4. One day the buffet was empty and there were dirty dishes everywhere.5. A marathon runner was scolded for filling his thermos with the water offered in the lobby. It was in bad taste that they only let him use the 1 oz glasses provided

Great, large rooms some with a full cooktop and oven, the rest with a simple cooktop. All have microwave and full sized fridge and freezer with ice maker. The front desk is atrocious- I don't know what the pandemic did to hospitality in Chicago, but this place leads the charge in bad vibes. Location is great for business travels, terrible for tourists as the area is dark and empty after 8pm.As long as you stay away from the front desk, this hotel is fantastic.

Excellent experience at the Residence on LaSalle. Exceptional staff, beautiful and spotlessly clean room. Breakfast buffet was great and coffee was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

worst hotel stay i have ever had. Rosa is the only person i believe deserves their position in this place. the hotel room was dirty and they never brought us requests we asked for on the phone (new iron as ours was broken, more towels, tea, etc). we drove 8 hours to then have them say our cards were declining - we have normal credit cards that work everywhere we go, even in chicago. when this happened they kept insinuating that we do not have the money to pay and asked us to have people send us money - absolutely ridiculous and insulting - i was literally wearing prada. we waited an hour and a half panicking about where we would sleep - with the front desk people being outwardly annoyed with this situation even though we did nothing wrong. once we finally got to the room they ended up charging the WRONG card after CONFIRMING that they would charge a different card. most messy and disorganized situation and hotel ive ever experienced - and ive been to a lot. also the breakfast sucked.

We have a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott. My husband travels a lot, and this is his favorite chain hotel because of all of the amenities included that make travel easier. For this trip, we were there just for fun. The check-in staff and security staff on the entrance floor were all very friendly and helpful. This location is very close to shopping and several restaurants which is nice. Our room was solid and clean, I like the kitchenette (a refrigerator is always nice for leftovers) and living room-type space that comes with the Residence Inn. My favorite part of the Residence Inn is that it includes a breakfast. Because of the Chicago location, this one had an incredibly nice breakfast with many choices including more than one vegan and vegetarian option. Breakfast was absolutely delicious each morning and included with the cost of the room which is a great service. We had a car with us and parking was expensive, but not crazy, and could be validated by the hotel to reduce cost on more expensive weekends. I would absolutely stay here again for a weekend in the city or a business trip as needed.

This hotel is located in walking distance to almost everything. The service was amazing! We arrived at the hotel extremely early due to our flight. The hotel staff was able to accommodate an early check-in. "Anything is possible," they said and made it happen. The front desk staff gave great recommendations for restaurants as well. As a 1st time visitor to the city, this was very helpful. I can't speak highly enough about the staff. The rooms were modern and clean. The suite that we had was like a mini apartment. It was wonderful. The breakfast had a variety of items to choose from. This property was top-notch!

I booked this hotel using points for the first night for a three night stay. the hotel decided to lock me out of my room the last night because they didn’t have the correct credit card on file to authorize the payment correctly. this was not explained at check-in and no one decided to contact me before locking me out to get the issue resolved. instead they locked me out completely with no explanation. the female manager on duty on 9/3 was extremely rude and unprofessional. the hotel then proceeded to double charge on incidental holds. when you are a loyal marriott member with gold status you should absolutely not be treated so disrespectfully.

We had our wedding block with the Residence Inn Loop and they did a great job. They responded to our emails quickly and worked with us to make sure that we had enough wedding blocks for everyone that wanted one. We got an awesome upgrade as the bride and groom as well!

I got a good opportunity to use most of the amenities of the hotel during my 10 day stay. The rooms are a little fucky if you have an inside room. I was on the ss second floor which required two sets of elevators. The room windows were opaque so I could see out. The laundry room was very clean and functional. The machines take credit cards which is fantastic! The only miss is the soap machine requires quarters. Why not make everything electronic? That's a miss. The gym had just enough equipment to get a nice workout completed. All of the treadmills and ellipticals were divided by plastic. I had a hard time signing in to track my workouts with the QR code. The cleaning crew was on point, they always left extra towels and made sure I had enough soaps and paper towels. The front desk and staff at breakfast was very cool and helpful.
