Living at this residential building managed by Brookfield has been a journey of highs and lows, but it concludes on a notably positive note, thanks to exceptional staff members like Christina and Claudia.Initially, the transition from a family-owned management to Brookfield raised concerns due to a change in the building's warmth and responsiveness. Despite encountering several issues and experiencing a colder corporate approach of the younger male staff, the personal touch and efficiency provided by Christina and Claudia during my move-out process were remarkable. They navigated through challenges with professionalism, agility, and a constant smile, embodying the essence of what makes a management team stand out. Their ability to cut through issues 'like butter' and maintain respect and dignity towards residents has not only resolved my concerns but also left me with a positive final impression, meriting a five-star review.This experience underlines the importance of well-trained staff who are adept at thinking on their feet and handling situations with grace. Brookfield's management, should take this as a data point. In short, through the efforts of Christina and Claudia, we see that even in a large corporation, a personal and efficient approach makes all the difference to residents. I hope this serves as a valuable lesson for Brookfield on the significance of having the quality and caliber of trained staff at the level of Christina and Claudia...because this can have a profound impact on future residents.

The management monitors security cameras to charge a fee of $250 per hour for hosting 'unauthorized gatherings' (according to Mila's policy, a meeting of 3 or more people is considered unauthorized).I had overall bad experience when communicating with the assistant property manager regarding subleasing & amenity usage. Mostly trying really hard to not give any sort of assistance regarding the subleasing process or gets the apartment unit number wrong. It's concerning that the building has experienced numerous water shutdowns, approximately 6 to 7 times over the past year.

Building is nice and most of staff is very friendly. However, recent hires at the front desk have not been attentive to the desk at night and we’ve had homeless and other non-residents try to follow us in the elevator which is not the most pleasant, given the downtown location. Additionally, for what it is, it is priced above market rate in the area compared to other buildings.

I moved in a couple of months ago and I’m very happy. It comes with all the advantages and disadvantages of living downtown. Michigan ave is very busy and sometimes loud during the night but with a pair of earplugs you’re fine. Wonderful rooftop terrace and pool. Most of the staff is very friendly. Beautiful apartments and you can barely hear your neighbors.

I moved into MILA from an international location and couldn’t ask for a smoother move-in process.The first phone call inquiry about the building and lease was with Michael, who was very knowledgeable and patient with all the questions I had. He put my mind at ease, especially with the stress of moving internationally where in-person viewings are difficult to achieve. Plenty of photos and videos were provided.The apartment and building itself is very high quality. The front desk has been superbly helpful so far.

I had the pleasure of staying at Mila Luxury Apartments, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the luxurious ambiance and impeccable attention to detail. The management at Mila Luxury Apartments were exceptional in their service. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Moreover, the location of the Mila Luxury Apartments was another highlight. Situated in a vibrant and convenient neighborhood, it offered easy access to various attractions, shopping centers, and dining options.

I had the pleasure of living at the MILA for the past 4 years. The apartments are modern and offer unparalleled views. Not to mention everything is conveniently located within walking distance. The front desk and maintenance staff are very attentive and friendly. They really care about their residents and strive to create a "homely" environment. Additonally, as someone who would often come and leave at odd hours, the parking situation is very convenient and safe. So sad to be leaving!

I have been living at Mila since July 2020 and will be moving out June 2023. Mila has been such an amazing home throughout my college career and I couldn’t be more grateful. The staff and service here is what makes the building truly next level. Maintenance responds within an hour of you putting in a request and it will be fixed within the next two hours. Kelvina the property manager has been extremely accommodating to me and will go above and beyond for her tenants. The only cons I have are that while there are 4 elevators in the building, often times one is being checked out for move in/out or service. Sometimes I will be waiting 10 mins for an elevator. It isn’t the end of the world but it’s definitely not ideal. Amenities are fantastic, service is amazing and the 04 unit is truly to die for. Without else the location of this building is just superb, it’s just steps away from the river and the amazing restaurants. You are super close to millennium park, and state street while also being just a 5 min walk away from the mag mile.

Mila is so great! I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Right in the heart of downtown Chicago, lots of things to do in the area. The staff is amazing, and very helpful. Can’t go wrong living here.

MILA is a beautiful building that my partner and I fell in love with instantly. Gary Carlson made us feel at home from the tour, up to the move-in. MILA has beautiful amenities and views, very friendly people. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home!

Review is specifically for the MILA staff and leasing office. The manager, Michael, has been so incredibly kind and understanding through our move from San Francisco to Chicago and with a baby on the way. We were able to move in without stress and settle into the unit that made the most sense for us. Additionally, the staff in the front are very kind.

MILA offers the ideal living experience, both in terms of quality of service/amenities/support and location. When you live at MILA, you are a five minutes walk from literally anything you need and want. And, chances are that the rooftop infinity pool or gym can keep you and yours entertained on a rainy day. My review specifically is dedicated to Kelvina Carter, who offered a wonderful management service that left me feeling more welcome and supported than ever during my first few months at the residence. An immense thank you to everyone that runs this place, you are very much appreciated!

We stayed here for a while during a visit to Chicago and overall it’s very nice. The apartment was clean and modern, the building has some good amenities like a gym, dog run, and outdoor patio areas. If I had nits to pick I’d say that the dog run area needs to be a little better maintained. It’s not overrun with waste but the strip of turf needed to be cleaned. It smelled pretty bad when it rained or was humid. Other than that I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a short term apartment.
