Staff aren't very helpful. For so many luxury items, I would have thought the store would have been better organized and tidy. Marijuana smoke everywhere, and I'm not a prude it's just a turn off...was a bit turned off by this store location.

Great place to shop without walking far from parking as garage is adjacent to the Bloomingdale's store and inside is a mall with nice stores inside,great sales always and friendly and helpful staff!...

Truly awful customer service Bloomingdale's. The Bloomingdale's (900 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago) and @bloomingdale's online failed to provide any service whatsoever and ruined a special purchase. I ordered a piece of fine jewelry online for in-store pickup at Michigan Ave. I waited all day for the email alert that my item was ready, and I needed it yesterday--hence the election to picknit up. With only a couple ours left before the store was to close, I called to check on my order. I spoke with two people who literally could not have cared less than I had a pending order that had not been fulfilled. I received no communication from Bloomingdale's all day after placing my order.The first woman just told me it had not been pulled and made absolutely no offer to help. She passed the phone to a man who told me tho "call .com" because the people who could or should have helped were gone for the day. Then he hung up. No sense of responsibility for helping me or trying to make sure that I got what I paid for. My email confirmation had the Michigan Ave store telephone number as the loint of contact. Nevertheless, I called .com since I had no other option. The person I spoke with eventually ended up contacting the Michigan Ave store to determine of the piece of jewelry was available there. Turns out that it was there and the store had just failed to fulfill my order. I thought, great, I'll be able to go grab it in time to stay on schedule. Then the representative said I'd just need to pay for the jewelry that they were holding for me at the store. Pay for it? I had already paid for it many hours ago. I said that didn't make sense, the jewelry they were now holding is the item I paid for already. He insisted that was somehow different, and I had to pay again--the previous purchase would eventually fall off of my credit card. Even if that were true, why should I be expected to obligate more of my credit (a double hold for a sizable amount) to correct an internal error on the part of Bloomingdale's? The item I ordered was at the store all along, they just didn't do their job to pull it and didn't do their job to try to help when I called, so I have to pay again?? I asked to speak with a manager and was somehow disconnected during the transfer. Certainly not a "luxury" level of service, not even a discount outlet level. I honestly cannot imagine that this would have been my experience at Nordstrom.

The staff at the ground floor in Bloomingdale are not friendly at all. One of them African old lady was rude and talking negative with the fellow staff member. It was quite evident that she didn't want no one to attend me, assuming I may not make a purchase. For a matter of fact I did made a purchase, but staff members like her shouldn't make people feel uncomfortable by staring in a negative way and followed me wherever I moved. This isn't a good practice at all, please educate the staff to behave decent and stay humble at all times.

I found perfect dresses there all by myself including getting myself other sizes. The team working there was not helpful. Didn't offer to help, checked his phone and complained that a customer had asked him to get another size on a different floor. I don't mind doing all the work when I'm shopping. That's fine. But it seems like bloomies should have a better experience than what's happening right now. Maybe they aren't being paid enough. Im sorry they have to work in retail If they don't like it.

Located at 900 North, this Bloomingdale's does not have a great selection of women's clothing, and sizes are limited. Also, several SAs were just standing around and were not offering any type of assistance. Note that you do have to purchase from one of the retail shops to get your parking validated, inclusive of Astor Hall. The sales rack are not organized, and some of the clothing is not of their best quality - we saw many articles of clothing that were snagged, had rips, or loose threads. Found the staff very aloof and snooty. I picked out some jeans to try on (in the women's department with no help from anyone on the floor even though there were employees around). They very unenthusiastically walked me to a fitting room. Then I hear them refer to another shopper trying on items by name. Never asked for my name or gave my any real indication that they wanted to help me... Seems they cater to people who seem or act rich versus treating every customer with kindness and respect.

I visited this store on Sunday 12/11 around 3 p.m. I was hoping to purchase the little brown cosmetic bag. I didn't see any out so I began looking for an associate to assist me. I had to go over to cosmetics to get someone's attention. The young lady told me they were out on the first floor and to check the 3rd floor. I went up to the 3rd floor and another associate said they were all out. I decided to go to my car and put in for a pick up order and come back later in the week or whenever the bag was back in stock. Not even 30 minutes later I received an alert stating my order was ready for pickup. I'm not sure if I was racially profiled or your associates just flat out didn't want to assist me. No way I was in your store 30 minutes prior and all of a sudden this item is in stock after I was told you were out! This is not acceptable customer service. I'm a store manager for a major retailer and I'd be livid if any of my associates did not go above and beyond to help a customer. Totally unacceptable!

11/10/22 I shopped at the Michigan Ave location. I wanted some sneakers that was on sale on their website. I asked the salesman for my size, tried them on and proceeded to purchase. He rung them up and the sale price didn't reflect what was on the website. I showed the salesman the picture.. he took it to his manager and they debated it's not the same shoe.. The price was $550 on sale for $330..I looked closely to the details and for certain.. IT WAS THE CORRECT SHOE. The manager of the shoe department was very RUDE AND NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY.. She YELLED THAT'S NOT THE SAME SHOE.. Once again I pointed out the detail and they finally acknowledge. Manager was very rude and ghetto. If anyone in retail or any type of customer service should not be in this profession. I'd rather shop online if I want to spend money with them again!!

Always a pleasant experience! I love that everything is organized. I can find anything I want and don't need too. The staff is always helpful knowledgeable and that makes the experience even better. This recent visit, I was in the hunt for blue jeans, and wow! The selection is magnificent! I found EXACTLY what I was looking for. Highly recommend you check out their jeans! They will ship anything to you and I love that staff goes the extra mile to accommodate. Clean mall, organized shops it's a win win all around.

Such a clean and organized store. This store has 6 levels and they carry lots and lots of nice items from makeup, clothing to housewares. Their sales are great and it's easy to find a good deal if you are willing to look.

Nice store. Living in the PNW, we do not have the same large department stores like NYC and Chicago. The selection of items are much better than what we have in here. This store has a nice men's department. A very good selection on Canali sports jackets. Living out of town I chose to have mine altered in Portland. However you can get full custom alterations of your garments. The best thing about Bloomingdale's is purchasing when there is a sale. We will be back shopping there again and again.

Convenient for guests here in the Four Seasons Hotel. I went into Bloomingdale's and received the worst customer service from the makeup artist from Nars. She was very impatient, condescending, and had the nastiest attitude I had ever seen. I couldn't wait to get away from her. In an emergency situation needing make up she told me that I cannot return the make up items The way that she treated me lingered on throughout the night. She told me she was a highly skilled make up artist that she's been doing it for so long but she does not provide bridal make up, it was just very uncomfortable I just couldn't shake off the vibe of how this woman could be so awful towards me. I went back to Chanel counter where a lovely lady by the name of Ellee I actually took every single item that I purchased from the woman CiCi from Nars and I sat down and got an incredible make up sit down with Chanel I explained to Elle what had happened to me and another make up employee said they knew who I was talking about because apparently that's how she is with everybody I was able to purchase a pair of Chanel sunglasses with no problem I went to Nespresso I exchange the Narrs for Chanel cosmetics I had a nice time in Bloomingdale's. But I do think management should tell her at Nora's that if she's having a bad day she should probably take the evening off.

I have been looking for a frying pan for a few months to replace a Scan Pan which I loved. I've been to many competitors and was disappointed what was out there. I was helped by a very pleasant and knowledgeable salesperson, Durwood "Dug" W. Dug helped me distinguish which pan would work best for me. He patiently went over cleaning instructions and general care & use for an expensive Staub enameled, stick free pan. I was very impressed that Dug really knew his inventory and the pros & cons of the different manufacturers. Next time we know to stop at Bloomies and see Dug first.
