Our daughter started here when she was 1.5 years old and just turned 3. My husband and I were nervous and conflicted about our decision to put her in school but we’ve absolutely loved what we’ve seen. Our daughter has learned so much and grown in more ways than we could’ve hoped for. She loves her teachers and we can tell that her teachers love her back. We’re lucky to be part of this community! The director (and other staff) are communicative and collaborate with the community often on different decisions that arise. The classes are small and the teachers are loving and committed to the kids. We’re so glad we took a leap and decided to enroll our daughter when we did!

Our daughter has been attending Lily Pad for over a year now -- starting when she was 4 months old in the Little Duckies room, and having recently graduated to the toddler Tadpoles room. We could not recommend Lily Pad more. We love how warm and caring every single staff member has been, how connected we feel to our daughter's care through the daily updates through the app, and, most importantly, how much our daughter loves being at Lily Pad. We also appreciate that there are many outdoor walks when the weather is nice, lots of great Montessori-informed activities (well beyond what I have the creativity or resources to do at home), and the extra care the teachers and staff take to make things special (holiday events, spirit weeks). When we were selecting a daycare, we did a tour of the neighborhood and appreciated that Lily Pad was one of the more adorable options and just had a great feel to it. Again, we have really have loved our time here.

My daughter has been at Lily Pad for about a year. We really love the sense of community and the level of care displayed by the staff. This place feels much more like an at-home shared nanny than a daycare. They update us with any problems, provide nutritional meals, and have great facilities. The things that get them one star short of perfect is that it is often difficult to get a hold of them over the phone. There is no full-time staff member answering phones, so whenever I need to call and ask something it typically takes 3 to 4 tries before I get someone to answer. They are not the most organized when it comes to running the business side of the daycare, but since the priorities are on caring for the kids instead, I tend to forgive them. It is bothersome but not a serious concern.

After having read all these reviews before enrolling my child here, I was confident that I was leaving my child in good hands when I went to work for the day. Ms. Jessica was so timid when I talked to her after first days pickup that it made me nervous. After getting home I found my baby's diaper area to be dirty. The daily report is sent electronically and when I received this saw she only had a handful of diaper changes(2 month olds need frequent changes-especially when they overfeed your child when they cry rather than checking to see if they're wet). During the week we sent our child here they barely changed her every two hours, except for her last day there. When our concerns were shared with one of the directors we were assured the teacher would be talked to, to make things better. Same things kept on happening the whole week. And the thing is since we're obviously not there during the day we could only go off of the daily report and what the teacher says at the end of the day, both of which differed from each other, and went against either what we had asked for or Illinois State guidelines. We really wanted to keep our baby here, but after the second time talking to the director she said that she wasn't in the room and didn't know what was happening. To me that's an unacceptable response since you know issues and concerns were already brought up, why wouldn't you be making an effort to know what is going on in YOUR building. After picking our child up after that day we told the director our baby wouldn't be coming back. All she said was, "ok I understand". No attempt to keep us or make things better. Then the next day we get an email saying the center didn't agree with our complaints, when, once again all we can go off is what they tell us, as our baby can't talk.Personally I feel like the overall issue with this center is that there are too many young inexperienced people that haven't been shown how to run things by anyone with years under their belt. And please find another teacher that seems to like babies for the baby room.*I'm not sure how to spell her name, but the other infant teacher, if you are so lucky, will probably not cause you any of this grief, but unfortunately the directors lack of genuine empathy soured this location for us.

Disorganized administration. Teacher did not seem happy to be there.

We have been at Lily Pad for about 4 months, but from the very first week of sending our daughter to Lily Pad, we have seen a significant change in our daughter's happiness overall and a huge improvement in her sleeping. I have never met a more happy and upbeat group of people that are the staff of Lily Pad - they greet our daughter with a smiling face and I truly feel it is genuine. I didn't realize until switching to Lily Pad how much a difference that would make for us, but our daughter has been so happy, she is completely thriving, and she is getting better sleep which means better sleep at night (and more sleep for mom and dad!) . They have taught her sign language and some Spanish - at 15 months this is so impressive and I am very grateful for it. Also, there has not been a single day so far that they haven't sent me a photo or video update - I look forward to it every day. Highly recommend it here.

We love going to Lily Pad. Everything about the school is excellent from the lesson plans and learning environment to the beautiful facility. The teachers are great! They make the drop off and pick up process easy. I know all of my children are in great care and they enjoy going to school here. I’ve recommended them to a lot of friends and family and continue to recommend them whenever I can.

Our Lilypad Family are all amazing people. We started when my son was 18 months at the Tadpole class. He didn’t have any problem adjusting as his teachers were caring, patient and hands-on. Moving to Dragonfly was a breeze as his new teachers knew him by name already. This is one of the things I love, the whole school is a community and most of the teachers know kids that are not in their class by name. Food and extra-curriculum activities are great. We sadly had to leave because we moved to the surburbs. If the commute was not crazy, we would still be at Lily Pad. Thank you for the wonderful 1.5 years we spent with us all.

My daughter has been at Lily Pad for about a year and half and started when she was just 14 weeks old. We have loved the teachers and they are caring and have taken great care of our daughter. In the past, the business side has been disorganized, but they have really made up for it by their response and action during the global pandemic. They have been open and communicative of their response to COVID in the ever changing situation.

We have had our two year old enrolled in lily pad for approx. a year now! Time has really flew. The teachers have been awesome and my little one loves them all. He is so excited to go to school and play with his friends. His growth and knowledge has been amazing and our friends and family notices it to. Anthony has been great to work with and accommodating to our needs!

I equate my experience with this center as a bait and switch. During the tour and enrollment process, communication was reasonable and staff were responsive. There was no wait and I was able to enroll and start my child within a 2wk timespan. Unfortunately, after starting care (2nd day after) I received an email saying their tuition policy changed. Two weeks after that, I received another email stating their monthly activity fee would require annual payment. These changes directly contradicted the enrollment paperwork I literally completed 2 weeks prior. In addition, they lost a full unopened sleeve of my child's diapers and pack of wipes. All they offered to correct their error was a useless apology.Furthermore, the front desk is often unstaffed during peak pick up and drop off times. The center has a bug problem and months after I've terminated care, I've yet to receive a refund for the fees they wanted paid annually.

I would highly recommend Lilypad. The staff is wonderful. Love the small ratio in the classroom. My son is happy and comfortable.

My 2 year old son really enjoys attending his "new school" and mom and dad are impressed as well.Previously our son attended a nearby daycare center for 8 months that provided great care for our son, but also was lacking in other areas. Classrooms became overcrowded and during that 8 month period he went through 5 primary care teachers in his class. Our son has been at Lily Pad for over 4 months now and we are happy to report that he has the same primary care teacher as when he started school at Lily Pad. His primary care teacher has been fantastic helping to develop our son with her great lesson plans that have improved my son's language skills. She even developed a plan for our son to help him give up his pacifier dependency, letting him initially keep the pacifier in his pocket so he knows it is with him and only letting him use it at nap time to eventually weaning him off the pacifier completely. As a father who travels out of town during the week for business the Tadpoles app is great providing me with visibility about my son's lesson plans, pictures and videos of his daily activities as well as summaries of his meals, bathroom and nap patterns.Overall, mom and dad are really pleased that we made the switch and brought our son to Lily Pad and our son still loves his "new school."

My son absolutely loves it here. The staff here seems very attentive to my son and it feels like everyone knows him by name and personality even outside of his classroom. They use the Tadpole app to keep me up to date on his daily activities and it makes me laugh when I see he has had a more nutritious lunch than I did for the day. There's a music teacher that comes in and I hear from other parents that the older classrooms are learning yoga. They also offer yoga for the parents on Saturday's but I haven't personally attended. In the warmer months they even take him out to the local parks which is important to me and I think for his overall development. I'm actually shocked because he's picked up sign language, Spanish, knows basic flashcards, and regularly says please/thank you without much coaching from me.Most importantly to me, this school has been so accommodating to me as a single parent with a corporate job. Oftentimes, if I'm running a touch late they're very understanding and I have the flexibility to drop him off and pick him up with ease. They have a list of people approved to pick him up when I can't and each teacher has taken the time to ensure whoever picks up my son gets a full run down on his day, mood, items, needs, etc. They're also very quick to communicate any bumps or spots they are concerned about as I'm overly paranoid about hand, foot, and mouth.Overall, no complaints for me and definitely none from my son.
