“Great gym, went there for a months. It’s was great but the last class is fairly early and it was challenging to attend with a topical 9-5 job. Instructors were good but I thought they didn’t pay too much attention to everyone’s forms and were just there to run the class aka keep the exercise moving etc. would have loved to get any feedback specially since I was new to cross fit.”

“Visiting Chicago and I was pleased to find this gym a short drive from our Ravenswood rental. Plenty of free parking on the street and a small nearby lot at 7am on a Sunday morning.There were a half dozen patrons in there at any time during my workout, so plenty of room and no competition for space and equipment.This gym size and equipment selection is very comparable to all 4 of the the Anytime Fitness locations I've been to, which makes it easy to execute your planned work-out without too much hunting and pecking. The key fob works just the same, too.All the equipment were in good shape, and the place was clean and in orderly condition.”

“The best private & semi-private training gym I’ve ever been to. The customer service is top tier. Every time I come in I’m greeted by name by multiple people. The community here is so warm and inviting. The owner Sean has created a beautiful atmosphere. The gym is very clean. It has an infared sauna, 2 showers, and every piece of equipment you need. The trainers are great. I highly recommend Cam and his Bootcamp (my trainer there!). Cam knows his stuff and is so creative with his workouts. His energy is top tier. No matter what he has going on, he shows up with a positive energy that radiates. He’s very reliable and punctual. I’ve trained with Sean before too and really enjoyed his style of training. He’s an OG in the training game and is always continuing his education, he knows his stuff!! John Hall trains out of this gym too and he’s the best of the best (if you need to relieve pain/tension anywhere in your body, he’s your go to!!). Maria is a sweetheart and answers emails quickly. I always see Maria stretching people out and I hope to have her stretch me out one day. I hear nothing, but great things about her skills. If you can’t tell, I’d highly recommend this place, especially if you live in the south loop area.”

“I really enjoy the workouts at 9Round as they vary daily and I can go at a time that suits my schedule and not have to be there for a specific class time. You get a full body workout in 35 minutes.The trainers are all friendly, supportive and encouraging. They also add different exercises throughout the workouts to add more variety and build skill.”

“I just signed up today but this place is a gem. It took 20-30 minutes for the entire tour and membership process and I was off on my own for my first workout. I was there during “peak” time but there was plenty of room and almost no one doing chest on an international chest day (Monday). So it was perfect for me.I can tell I’m going to have a wonderful time here going forward. If you’re a bit tired of the commercial gym vibe, and want to see what a bodybuilding gym is like, you need to check this place out.”

“Ive been coming to the Garage Gym heavy AF classes for 6 weeks now and absolutely love them! I was previously just doing one class a week and purchased the five pack, but I decided to move forward with a membership to start going multiple times a week because of how much I’ve enjoyed the classes! All of the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and the people who attend the classes are also great and motivated to work hard. “Coming from general and climbing gyms, I had always heard the rumors of crossfit, from injuries to odd workouts, and some pretty toxic macho man behaviors.This is not that gym. I have found such an inclusive environment with truly wonderful people of all backgrounds. It is a supportive and caring space where you feel listened to and you're needs feel met. The workouts are odd and it can be overwhelming at times but the people there have your back.If you're new to this kind of activity, take it slow, go light, and for God's sake ask questions. The coaches are more than happy to talk you through any sticking points.”

“I joined in January after not working out for 7 years and I absolutely love it! It's not the cheapest gym, but it is worth the investment in yourself and your health--they make it so easy to keep coming back because I've seen notable improvements in my mood, strength, and overall fitness. The staff/coaches are friendly and approachable. The workouts are geared for anyone. They have specialty workouts/playlists/events every month to keep things fun. When I started, they did a body composition scan that was to be repeated 3 months later. I was initially intimidated by this but it was helpful to see my numbers and satisfying when I improved more than expected. Also, I ran my first 10k in 7 years earlier this month and felt fast and strong :)”

“My nephew was visiting me during his recent holiday break and wanted to work out. My wonderful neighbor connected me to Dennis (owner of CrossFit Severance). Dennis was super helpful and accommodating for the few weeks that my nephew was in town. I am not a member but I would definitely join if I didn't already have a membership elsewhere. I observed the classes and they look high energy and incredibly motivating. Go check them out!”
