I used to regularly travel to China 20 years ago and always loved the hotel beds that were much firmer than any product I have ever found in the US. I subsequently have been through various so called "extra firm" beds from Stearns & Foster. These beds were always pretty good at first but then within a couple of years they would always sag due to insufficient quality and they were never as hard as I remember from China. I've been searching for decades to find something that replicated that experience. Finally I was lucky enough to find Furma Mattress. This is exactly what I have been searching for! The quality of sleep is like nothing I have experienced on a US mattress. I have such a refreshed feeling when I awake, and have a high energy level throughout the day. I work in a physical job where I frequently have some back pain by the end of the day when I go to sleep. When I awake in the Furma Mattress the back pain is always gone. I bough the mattress with a harder side and a less hard side. I am starting with the less-hard side and will flip the mattress to the harder side after I adjust. The service I received from Ken is second to none. He was the most caring and responsive person I have ever encountered in any business in my entire life. He answered all my questions, advised me very well and was ALWAYS available any time I needed to call him. He contacted me days afterward to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Put your trust in Ken, he will steer in you the right direction. I feel so lucky to have found him. Make no mistake, these beds are definitely not for everyone. This is for a very specific type of person. Buy this bed if you don't care about plush, pillow tops, and the firmest US bed you can find is either not firm enough of doesn't stay firm for a long enough period of time. If you can test the the bed in store, that would be best. This is a harder bed than anything you have seen before and frankly a harder bed than most Americans can possibly imagine. For me it is pure sleeping heaven. I'm a side sleeper and the firmness is no problem at all for me. I feel like I have my quality of life returned to me. Refreshed, energy restored, and pain free. What more can I ask? My wife frequently wakes up with headaches and since sleeping on this mattress, she hasn't had a single headache. Highly recommended!!
