“I work half a block from here and come in probably a couple times a week. I tried one of their paninis today and it was legitimately excellent! Everything in the store is also ridiculously well priced. $20 juul pods in 2023 (although that is not helping me quit haha). A really great store with really friendly people. I am so happy they are so close by me at work! Makes the work day a lot better :)”

“The tamales smack. Who would think a JJ pepper of all places would have bangin' homemade tamales?I always buy at least 20 tamales when I come here and they're gone in two days. They have a nice selection of snacks. Some rare finds that you can't find at the other local shops too.The lady and the gentleman are both very nice, super chill.”

3330 N Kimball Ave, Chicago“Excellent service and food. This restaurant is one of those hidden gems in Chicago. It has a real Japanese authenticity to it with just a little touch of the Korean flavor with side dishes. Also, if you're a baseball fan you can see the pictures of the players or teams that's been there. The players even signed a few baseball as well for customers to see while you wait to get seated. In my opinion, this restaurant is definitely one of the best Japanese BBQ spots in Chicago.”
“Best spot to get snacks in the neighborhood especially later at night! Cashiers are always friendly and I’ve used them to drop off UPS packages, which is convenient.”
“I just don't think the other review is an accurate representation of this store. Maybe it was a misunderstanding like they were trying to make sure he was able to legally purchase his beer by getting to the register in time.”
