Service was great at the MDW location. I was able to skip the counter & had quite a few options for vehicles. Although the one we chose sounded like it needed a tune up already, it was clean & did the job. Take note that a shuttle is needed to get to the rental cars.

We made a reservation and were able to go directly to the lot at Midway to choose a car. There were several options in our category. There was only one open check out booth, but we did not have to wait. Our car worked well and was clean with a full tank of gas. The return process was easy as well, and the person who checked us back in was very helpful. Would definitely rent from Alamo again.

The experience at Alamo was great, the agent at the desk was helpful and courteous. Once I stepped off the elevator, I was greeted by the attendant to let me know what row my car was in and helped with directions on how to leave the facility. So, I definitely consider Alamo again when I rent a car again.

We had a terrible experience using Alamo / Budget Auto rental. Although there were 13 terminals available to assist customers trying to check in, they had only three employees working. The line stretched the entire length of the rental facility counter. We waited for an hour and a half to get checked in. Once we actually reached the counter the attendants were far less than pleasant. They treated everyone as if we were lucky to get them, and they had no need to offer customer service.
And a word of warning: My legal first name is different than the first name on my credit card. (I've always gone by my middle name, and my credit card uses my nickname.) They were unwilling to use a card with the name Steve when my driver's license said Stephen. Thankfully, my wife was with me, and her credit card (same card and account as mine, by the way) and drivers license had the same name. We had to do an entirely new contract with her as the renter. What a bunch of morons.
I would have gladly paid more to go with another, more service oriented company, and without a doubt I will use a different company from this point forward. The fact that there are so many inefficiencies in the check in process, and such deficiencies in staffing (even when they know the number of clients that have reserved cars) makes me realize that this is a company I don't need to use in the future. My time is worth more than any savings they might have given.
Luckily, the car itself was fine. It was clean enough, and drove like every other Toyota Corolla. Well, at least there was that...

Only one person at the Alamo/National desk. Getting the car took almost 30 minutes with 3 people in front of me. They were able to change the vehicle as the first one assigned I didn’t reach the pedals well. Friendly staff.

I arrived at night in a rainstorm. I was in an unfamiliar car. When I asked for help with controls your rep just walked away. No help at all.

I reserves Toyota but they gave a me Malabo and won’t change it. Then the agent was cursing and acting rude about every little thing. Ma’am quit if you don’t like being in customer service.
