I recently moved to Chatham and have been to Ace several times to get several items and keys made. I always get a friendly greeting and am asked if I need assistance. I enjoy shopping at this local store.

Store is very clean and organized. Found what i as looking for soil, Lawn fertilizer, S hook. Staff is very friendly, helpful and greet you.

Ace Hardware is actually one of the few places where you can actually buy a single screw or bolt or washer without buying a package of 10 or 15 in it which you don't need I love Ace Hardware

Went in 2 different to get what I needed for a project. Things I needed were locked I went to ask where an item was and if someone could unlock it for me and employees acted bothered as if I interrupted their convo. Day 2 the young lady checking me out did not once make eye contact cut me off to say did you find everything, then when I left to say good day she ghosted me and rolled her eyes. Customer service was not so great.

Don't buy paint here!I needed a specific paint I ran out of mid-project on a Sunday and knew they carried Benjamin Moore. Every can they had was squashed/severely dented - that was all they had. They refused a discount (I was concerned about the can closing so I asked) and I needed it, so I bought it. I opened the can only to have rust from the dent (it rusted on the inside due to the dent, I guess) fall into the paint. I spent the rest of the afternoon picking rust flakes off of the painted surface and going over it again. Not happy.Edit - It's great that you respond to comments/reviews, but when a customer asks for an evident problem to be fixed and you refuse, why is it then on the customer to ask you to do something about it yet again when you already refused?

It's an Ace if they don't have it you probably don't need it. Went there looking for a specialized adapter younger staff didn't think they carried it. I searched and found it and several other options. ACE is the place !!!
