They are good, a little bit pricey but, u get what u pay for. I live on the west side of Chicago and would go far out, just to have them do my hair.

I went here years ago. IF want a bad nasty attitude while you get your hair braided then this is the place for you.

Worst shop ever: This shop is horrible and they have terrible attitudes...i went less than a month ago to get my hair done in senegalese twist and and now it looks as though i have had them up for three months...my hair is coming un done from the root and tops of the twist and when i went in to ask if the could fix it or give a refund they told me NO its like that because i had my hair cut and they they started to yell at my mother which is very unprofessional the only solution was for them to cut my so when i take it down it would be uneven i would never ever recommend and anyone to go there unless they want to just give away their money... they are money hungry and will not care what your hair looks like when they are done

Do not go here if you want a professional experience! They do not talk to you and they are not clean. After braiding my hair, I got a rash and had to go to the dermatologist which cost an arm and leg with all the medicine. Either the people braiding the hair hands are not clean or the hair they use is not. They would not talk to me for me to find out what might have caused it.

I've had my braids in for over 3months now and haven't lost one braid. Everyone at Machy's was really nice and accommodating for my special hair needs. 4 people worked on my head and I was out of there in a few hours. My only complaint would be the hair quality. I asked for Jet black and got brown and after about a month the tips looked frayed. Next time I will see about bringing in my own hair and discounting the price. I paid $250 so I feel I got my monies worth.
