Over the phone Take 5 said it would be $50 minus a $15 coupon for a $35 oil change. Once I was pulled into the station they tried to upsell me and change it to a $100 oil change. My daughter had this exact same experience at this exact same Take 5 and they ended up charging her almost $50 more than what they quoted her over the phone. Thankfully, I requested that they not start the oil change until they confirmed the price. I would highly recommend confirming the price before dealing with this business, they are pretty shady.

I had an oil change yesterday, 10/9 at the Take5 in Bourbonnais. The sheet that they gave me said that they checked my tires, washed my windshield, and filled my washer fluid. None of which they did. Makes me wonder what else they didn't do. I will not be going back

Went in for oil change oil was over full by close to 2 quarts . They say police on subaru os to suck the oil out? When there is a drain plug . Manager then calls me to explain that I didn't know what I was talking about that they never over fill and that I could not tell how many quarts over buy a dip stick true it does not tell yoh but after years of changing oil you can tell. And if anyone know about cars over filling oil can cause lots of problems and especially that much over. They did suck out close to 2 quarts and got the level right . But I went in for fresh oil not old oil and new oil ?. And the manager needs to work on customer service telling a customer that probably has more experience in oil changes then he does that they don't know what they are talking about. My question is how many times has this happened and people don't know and then end up with 1000s in car repairs.
There needs to be more training . Or stop being lazy and get under the car and drain it correctly. And then also know what you are looking at on the dip stick.
I would not recommend bringing any car to the shop . Unless you want engine repair .

Worst experience and incompetency. We got our only oil change from them after purchasing the car. When we went back for the second, they couldn’t get the oil filter (the one they put on) off. I took the car to a professional facility. They were able to get the filter off (they stated was the wrong filter) and complete the oil change. They also stated there’s no way the filter was changed the first oil change. I called to speak with someone at take 5 who stated I’d get a call back that evening and I didn’t. I called the next day and no surprise they were not answering. I was in the area so I stopped by and there was a manager and three employees sitting in the office. No customers. They were available to communicate with me but didn’t bother. I recommend you go somewhere else for service.
