Apartment Mart's Leasing agents are great. I moved in to a 2-bed room at Wingover last year however, due to unfortunate life events, I had to move to another apartment complex. I shared my situation with Teela & she was quick to take action in letting the Property Manager know & arrangements were made.
During the whole process of moving to the new apartment complex, Emily has been amazing. She responds to emails in a timely manner, always ready to help out her clients with any concerns. I say that because she has helped me look out for an apartment & catered my requests. She also takes the time to talking to her client & is very kind. I'd give her a 5/5 star.
Only reason why it's a 4 star review because of how my new unit looks like. It's a little odd having a weird staircase shape in the living room. Otherwise, seems like a good neighborhood with a lot of peace & quiet. (Hopefully it stays that way!)

The leasing staff is extremely professional, organized, and candid. (I mostly worked with Emily.) You don't feel like you're an inconvenience when you go to the office, unlike other area PMs. The office is clean and property availability is clearly shown. They worked with me to find the right place for my needs and budget. The self tour is great- you can return keys after office hours.
My new place on Parkway is fantastic. Clean, safe, sociable neighbors, and exactly what I need right now. Highly recommended.

Find another place to rent. Terrible communication leading to scummy practices!
UPDATE: They replied to my review and have agreed to waive the rent. Again, in the response to my review, they are shifting blame on me and trying to appear like the savior for letting me out of my notice to vacate since they had no problems with me in the past. There were no problems with me when I went into the office to try to get this figured out. Funny how their tune changed when I filed a complaint with the BBB, and afterward, they updated their policy that they are no longer communicating with residents via letter.
I am moved out at the end of the lease. I went in the office 2 months before my lease was over to let them know I was vacating and see if it was possible to break my lease early. I was told that I could move out early, but I would only get out of my lease if they found someone to rent it out before my lease was up. I told them never mind as I don't think they would find someone before my last month was over.
I received a letter in the mail stating to let them know if I want to renew my lease or switch to a month to month lease. In the letter, it stated to let them know my decision 2 WEEKS before my lease was up or I will automatically be renewed in a month to month lease.
I called to let them know I will not be renewing my lease 2.5 weeks before the end of my lease. However, I was told that I did not fill out a notice of vacancy form 30 days prior to the end of my lease. This is the first time I have ever had to give a written 30-day notice to an apartment I was vacating at the end of my lease as verbal has been fine.
Now, I have to pay 2 weeks past my lease end date. When I told them I don't understand why I wasn't told that I had to fill out the form the first time I went in to talk about vacating my residence, I was pretty much told sucks to sucks. When I told them that their letter is confusing as you are telling people they have up to 2 weeks before the lease ends to let you know which renewal option you like to pick, one would assume you have the same amount of time to say no to the options. They told me that it clearly states it in the lease to give 30 days noticed, and the letter is a clearly different document. When I said I don't remember what the lease states as I signed it over a year ago, and most people don't remember or even read fully every contracts and/or terms of service they sign, so I went off the letter, I was pretty much told I'm the dumb one for not knowing that I had to give 30 day noticed was in my lease and going off of the letter they sent.
I told them fine, but for future sake and to avoid possible confusion in the future, could they update the renewal letter to be 30 days before the lease is up instead of the 2 weeks before the lease is up as it is currently since they sent the letter 2 months before my lease was up. I was told they are not going to change it, meaning they are probably banking on this happening to people so they can get some money the few weeks the apartment is not rented.
This would not be the first time I have had someone in the office omit information to me in person. There were 2 other incidents. I was able to get those resolved before, and the fees were waived. However, this time, they are charging me half rent, and I still have to cover utilities for the time I'm not even living there. It doesn't seem like they are willing to waive it. They are also jacking up the rent. You can probably find a place of similar value with a better property management company that gives fewer headaches.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Apartment Mart, and I must say, they stand out as the best rental company in town. From start to finish, my experience has been nothing short of exceptional, thanks largely to the efforts of their dedicated staff.
Teela was particularly impressive; her professionalism and deep knowledge of the properties made my decision-making process a breeze. She was not only business-savvy but also incredibly attuned to my needs, recommending the perfect property that was available right when I needed to move. Working with her was an absolute delight.
Although I did not work directly with Doris, her presence in the office during my interactions added significantly to the positive experience. She was polite and demonstrated excellent customer service skills that did not go unnoticed.
Barry, who assisted me with a specific request, truly went above and beyond. His willingness to help out where he didn't have to was greatly appreciated and speaks volumes about the kind of service one can expect at Apartment Mart.
Furthermore, the lease terms were very appealing, adding yet another reason to choose this company. Having attempted to work with five different rental companies, I can confidently recommend Apartment Mart as the top choice for anyone looking for hassle-free renting.
Five stars all the way!

Buyer beware! Rent elsewhere! Extremely rude and dismissive staff barely gave me the time of day to look up from their computer to explain the application process then did such a poor job explaining I left with more questions than answers. After filling out the paperwork I was told "we already know you're gonna be denied so we just wanted the application fee from you."
Apparently over $3500 a month in income is too low to rent one of their $700 slum studio apartments. Save your money, go somewhere that actually cares about you. If this is how their application process is, imagine how little they care about maintenance and your quality of living.

Just got off the phone with Denny and I tried explaining to Joe and them that my wife has a developmental disability and she doesn't really know any better about putting in a service call for maintenance because she thought the refrigerator was leaking but it was actually in fact spilled milk and they charged us $80 if I knew that I would of had my wife wait until I got home from work! And while speaking with Denny about it he was absolutely heartless and wasn't lenient about the fact and had the nerve to tell me that was cheap! And that my wife suffers from this and was not willing to work with us at all like we were just a transaction absolutely no empathy whatsoever! We will continue to rent from them but please believe they really need to work on things and we're going to be extra careful as to calling maintenance for anything beware of maintenance here BLONo no heart ❤️

I have nothing but gratitude and appreciation for Apartment Mart and the wonderful year my wife and I spent happily in one of their properties (Parkway Ct. Apartments in Normal, IL). The property was really well maintained, quiet, and the neighborhood was always friendly and respectful. The responsiveness of the staff was exemplary every time we needed their assistance. We eventually had to move to a larger apartment by another company in town. However, as soon as we can, we will return to Apartment Mart, from where we should have never left. Keep up the good work, Apartment Mart, and until we meet again!
