The people are all fairly nice and the facilities are nice but there are a few things that need to be improved. The actual chairs you sit in to get your hair colored and cut are in huge need of a update. They are not comfortable at all when needing to sit for 40mins for color.
I also didn't like how after my color/shampoo I had to wait for like 30 mins till my barber was done even though I had an appt. Nobody really said anything either or apologized for it taking 3+hrs for cut/color. They didn't even offer me water!! In the end I'm happy with the final product but don't feel like I got the value for my $ or that I was really treated all that well I mean the woman that did my color hardly said 5 words to me the entire time I was there. Actually aside from stylist John, I felt like I was by myself the whole time wondering what was going on ?♂️ John was great the rest of the experience was lacking.

My hair was started over 45 minutes late today (A Thursday afternoon appointment at 12). There are no processors to help the girls. The boss knew that and still placed everybody in this position. So needless to say I was done for the day and everybody was running extremely late.
I was not happy with the amount of product that was put into my fine hair and I had to have it rewashed and had to go blow dry it myself even though I paid for the haircut and blow dry.
Bottom line is I was in tears leaving the salon today. That is not what I call a good day at the beauty salon. A beauty salon is supposed to make you look and feel beautiful, not have you leave in tears. It is very embarrassing and it is not any of the girl's fault. If I had a client that left my store in tears I would expect them to never come back.... And they would definitely not have to pay their bill.
Now let's move to the pricing structure. Those girls get 50% of what they're charging. We are we paying for lighting?
Your building is paid ! You even have a teaching salon where you are teaching people to cut hair and all the processes and charging them a fee to attend your school. Then you're still getting the clients that come to your school that allow these students to work on their hair a fee to have their hair done. So you're totally taking every single dollar in the market that you can and you can't provide your professionals coverage when needed. It isn't even a holiday!
That's horrible.
In addition a time schedule that is not adhered to and we are expected to tip these girls a percentage on top of the unreasonable prices that we are paying.
Then let's move to cost ......The cost to do my shoulder length hair which is immune compromised is the same cost that another person pays with butt length hair 20 times thicker. Why am I paying these outrageous bills when I literally have less than baby hair to cut?????
You need to do better. You need to rethink your position. You need to redo your salon and fix the lighting and you need to install solar panels so that you can lower the costs of your patrons.
This is the whole reason why all of the good hair people work for themselves from home.

Drove an hour to see Lena after my sister recommended her. Please ask for Lena for highlights!!! She is truly a master at her craft. I won’t be going to anyone else for hair needs. Pauline cut my hair and she was amazing as well. Love my haircut and highlights. Thank you to you both. Thanks to them I won’t be needing to go anywhere else!!! Great experience! -Janat

Sabina at the Bloomingdale Stratford location is awesome! She is a very experienced & knowledgeable stylist. She always does such a great job with my hair that I walk out of the salon knowing I chose the right stylist. As far as the company itself goes, it is very sad to hear that they no longer offer military discounts to their loyal customers. As it is, their prices are on the higher end of the spectrum, and they took this nice perk away from military members. It’s not only disappointing but extremely greedy. It’s not a good look for this upscale salon. This is definitely something for corporate to reconsider.

I’ve been seeing Erin as my colorist and Tanner as my stylist for several years now, and can’t imagine going to anyone else!
Erin is so genuine and friendly, I always look forward to getting time to chat with her while she does her magic. Her color skills are very advanced; she’s been able to go from vivid purples and pinks to a very classic blonde balayage without issue and is skilled with color correction. She always honors what I’m asking for while still giving helpful professional input when she has suggestions for alternatives that would look similar but work best with my hair type and texture. I’m so happy I found her!
Tanner has never once given me a haircut that I was disappointed with! Often I give him a general idea of what I want style wise but I fully trust his interpretation and vision. He’s great at tossing around different ideas for how I could style my new cut at home, and has a great sense of what will work well with my hair type and facial features. When I ask him for layers, they always come out PERFECTLY and balanced. He’s such a kind, funny guy so I always feel very comfortable and enjoy myself during my time in his chair. He works quickly too, but always with great quality.

Stay away and save your money
There are much better Stylist in the area. Had my appointment with Sabina, she was done in 30 mins with wash, cut and blowdry.
Stylist didn't pay attention to what i needed , she dint care & lazy with blow dry, Left hair frizzy with no styling. It looked like barber cut, Not worth $85 for the clumsy service I received. Not going back for sure.

Great service on all areas. Great customer service in general. Tanner, was very professional and caring. First time getting service from him . I was overly satisfied, I was able to noticed that he has the experience needed just on how he handled my hair. Would definitely refer a friend.

After decades of getting my hair done at the Bloomingdale location; I had to cancel one appointment due to an emergency. It was 23.5 hours before my appointment and they will have to charge me 50%. Please understand, this is also the same place which has canceled appointments on me at the very last minute, without a 24 hour notice. This has happened 3 times in the past year. One of the times was the day of my daughter's baby shower. Clearly, they'd prefer $45 over the thousands of dollars I've spent there. They will get their wish, because I will not be going back. There are other salons who appreciate loyal customers.
