I went to my appointment with Agent from Realty of Chicago Yeici!
Everything was great. I brought him all the papers he asked for. What I don't think is that he never contacted me again to give me an answer to tell me what happened. I think that if things are not going to be able to be done, at least he has a little education and just as he insisted on seeing me so he could call me to tell me that he CANNOT help me. I am very upset with this person who seems very irresponsible to me for his stoppage. Or maybe, as I told you, that is how they work there and they do not give any answers to the people who trust them.

My experience with with Celena was amazing we started this journey together and things went left(not her fault) at the beginning but we somehow found our footing. and closed on me and my wife dream home. She treated us like family from jump. Shes a delight to work with very educated, and experienced . Shes knows how to make you feel comfortable in the process. shes been truly a gem to work with. you guys got a star on your hands.

Agents from Realty of Chicago have been calling saying “I have a client that may be interested in your property, but want to know is the commission is negotiable.” - declining to show or seek additional info if the answer is no. Showing clients properties based on how much the agents get paid is unethical, and given the recent commission changes should not be an acceptable practice. Be careful here if you want unbiased representation.

Attempted to buy a house from Alejandro Colin Ramirez, offered up a completely competitive offer along with two others that were passed along by others.
Among the many issues with this guy, he was unresponsive to my agent, didn't list the unit number, was unresponsive at all, wasn't managing his clients correctly leading to a delay and even showing the proposals to them, then with no notice to me or my agent proceeded to simply cancel the listing
I get it, clients do whatever they want and will cancel stuff when they don't get what they want, but as an agent you have to have some simple dignity to reply and say it's off market. You don't just ghost people for 2 days not answering calls texts or emails.
Alejandro, Learn some decent respect, I wish you nowhere near the best on your future endeavors. You have absolutely added to my frustrations of attempting to buy in Chicago

I had the pleasure of working with Celena Le of Realty of Chicago to purchase our 1st home when I tell you she goes above and beyond to help you look for the house of your dreams we saw at least 20 something homes she worked with me for almost a year to find our home it was a journey I tell you, but Celena never made me feel discouraged she was always our cheerleader saying the next one will be the one.

BE AWARE AND READ before doing business with them. I called to schedule a date to see a property and potentially buy it, it’s been couple days and tried to call again but people picked the phone and hang up right away like 3 times in a row, UNBELIEVABLE, one lady answered and after 10 seconds on the phone she hung up either then a lady who’s a coordinator over the phone finally picked said that the agent will call questioning me if I don’t remember what our conversation was? Excuse me… She sounded like she already had a long day by 11:00am. Honestly that says a lot of their lack of professionalism, I’ve worked with agent before and never had to deal with this childish behavior. I mean are they willing to sell? The agent and agency will get commission for selling right? even though they would get DUAL AGENCY or DESIGNATED AGENCY, do they want to work? Rather to find a potential Agent who’s not local and is licensed in IL. Who will move fast and do whatever it takes to get that deal done, SERIOUSLY GUYS LOOK IT UP and that’s LEGAL TO DO, FIND YOUR OWN AGENT THAT YOU TRUST! Guaranteed they would sell and get double commission because I would want it that way, IF YOU FIND YOUR PROPERTY OFF MARKET IS BETTER, don’t waste your time WITH THESE CLOWNS. Now they are calling me back and I am not interested no more to be honest.

My partner and I worked with Christina Ghanayem and she was such a GEM. From the first meeting until the lease signing was only a two and a half week process!! Christina was really receptive to our feedback on the first round of searches and quickly found us the right place to call our new home (for rent). :)
I really appreciated that she was ALWAYS available! We sometimes had to hash some details out about showings and applications in the evenings and she was always so helpful and responsive.
Absolutely a queer and trans friendly company, they are VERY helpful with the application process on that side of things, if you know you know. <3

SAVE YOUR TIME. DO NOT buy, rent or even sell with Realty of Chicago. To be honest leaving 1 star is being really nice. The most unprofessional, incompetent people I’ve ever encountered. The lack of communication is absurd. They do not serve the best interest of their clients. They don’t deal with other realtors that are not Realty of Chicago. They will dodge your offers, won’t answer your calls, and even won’t even let you look at a house if you have a realtor that is not Realty of Chicago. There was many times when I would want to see a house from Realty of Chicago and they’ve made it almost impossible for my realtor to make an appointment. Id have to pretend like I didn’t have a realtor yet to be able to to see it. When it was time to make an offer and frankly most of the time I had the better offer. They would dodge calls, go silent for days without updates. They would lie to your face and say they have another offer on the table to get you counteroffer more money, but they really didn’t.After talking to one of the sellers from a house I wanted to buy. I proved that in fact I had the better offer, and he was never presented that. They ended up going with an offer from another agent from Realty of Chicago. SURPRISE.These folks should really be audited. They lack code of ethics which is illegal. They really deceive the people who they serve and take advantage of their own community. They try to make up for it by giving away free turkeys and doing community events but really they’re stealing your money. It’s really sad.I don’t write reviews but if you see this you steer away from buying, selling or renting with this realty company.
