Al is very professional and we were able to schedule an appointment to have our taxes done very quickly. My husband has used him for several years and this year we had 2 states.Within an hour, we were done and heading back home. The only negative about using H&R Block this year is the 28% increase in the fee to have our taxes done. I can understand 10% but over 25% is ridiculous and hopefully this will be the only raise for 5 years.I do highly recommend this office for tax services even though the price increase is not right.

The guy working there has no idea what he's doing or what's going on around him. I had to tell him multiple times that a given amount was the amount of my stimulus not my wife's income and then he tried telling me I was confused by what a tax letter from the state says when the letter couldn't be any more clearer in what it's saying. And again he was the one who was confused even though the amount in question was right in front of his face from my previous return which was filled with h&r block so it was all right there and still he was clueless. I had to collect my documents and leave and will be filing at an alternate location tomorrow. And when I informed him I'll be going elsewhere and I didn't feel he was competent to prepare my return his response was "whatever" insisted of a more professional "I'm sorry" or "how can we fix this". Rude!

The tax preparer at this location has no idea what he's doing. I had to explain to him multiple times that a given amount was my stimulus payment not my wife's income. I also had to explain to him what was being said in a tax letter from the state when the letter couldn't be any clearer in what it was saying. After explaining it multiple times he still didn't understand and was telling me I was confused and that I somehow owed the state and the city of Chicago the exact same amount. The amount was my return I was supposed to get and that information was also spelled out for him in front of his face considering I had filled that return with h&r block as well. I had to collect my documents and leave. Upon doing so his response was "whatever" instead of a more professional "I'm sorry" and or "how can I resolve the issue?" Rude!
