I wanted to share my appreciation to local Arlington heights Citi Bank branch employees. I have been a loyal customer to this branch since 2016. Everyone is always very welcoming, knowledgable, professional, helpful and efficient. I never have to wait longer than 5min. Special thank you to Sneha, Megha, and Judith.

This branch is terrible. As a 30+year Citibank customer, I've watched this branch waste away. Tellers (Magha) are very slow & inefficient, they are seriously understaffed compared to other local banks, very narrow & high curbed drive thru, and the female supervisor (I cannot remember her name) is seemingly unwilling to help when there are long lines. I'm surprised this location is still in service. Chase is the complete opposite and wins my vote!

To be upfront, this review is for Citibank on Dundee Road in Buffalo Grove. They do not offer that branch on yelp, but doesn't really matter as this branch is only getting 1 star reviews anyway. I had a Citi Gold checking account and accrued Thank You points during the time I had that account. Eventually, I switched to a regular Citi checking account and, without telling me I'd lose all my Thank You points, deleted everything when I switched. I have tried to get my points back, and even with them acknowledging they are sorry they didn't warn me, I can't get them back. I don't understand why they took points away I earned. But on top of that, since it was their fault, why they can't reinstate my points. All they can say is oops, sorry. I have never found Citibank to be customer friendly or helpful and this is the last straw. I'm going to be changing banks. The manager of the bank just sat in her office, too lazy to help. I would never recommend Citibank, especially the branch on Dundee Road in Buffalo Grove. Too many other banks to choose from who will provide customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would

Go to a different branch. We have a business account with this location for 8 years now and have no one who takes care of us. You can feel honored if someone picks up the phone.

I would advise against not just this branch but Citibank in general. Their policies are not customer friendly. I wired money online from my citi checking account as I have done for years and it basically went into cyberspace. I was given the runaround for over a month and before I received my results of their investigation I closed my account as I didn't like their policy stating they were at the mercy of the receiving bank to refund the money or to credit it to the account it was meant to go to. I finally received a notice 3 months later (today) stating the money was lost and it is not their problem. Very sad way of doing business. Stay away is my advice.

Bankers are just sitting and waiting for an appointment to come in. We just wanted to add another person on the account which wouldn't even take 5 mins and they wouldn't even take us in!!!

Why do I have to even give this place one star? DO NOT (repeating DO NOT) give any of your money to this branch or the company as a whole. You will never get anyone to answer the main line in this branch, you'll get a message ... "All employees are assisting other customers, we will connect you to someone who can help you." So, it rings and you get to a phone tree and when you select that you want help with your account that is NOT a credit card, it says ... "let's move on." So, it may ring a few times and then you'll get a dude on there who says ... "we're experiencing longer than usual waits ... " ... doesn't estimate how long you may have to wait like most other companies now do. No, it tells you to access account information through their website ... AND THEN IT HANGS UP ON YOU!!!! So, for me, I don't have a credit card number or a social security number linked to my Citibank account. Only way I can get past is to enter my account number then the SS# associated with the account. Oh no, my login information is incorrect so I'm bounced back to the page where I can enter my account number ... try bypassing the SS# by using DOB instead. Whooo hoo ... nope ... those are incorrect too! So, if you have a couple of hours to kill and don't feel like pulling out your toenails with a rusty set of pliers, feel free to call Citibank!!! (Oh yeah, if you DO get someone to answer at corporate, they'll prolly say they can't help you and you'll have to call the branch again.) It is taking over a month to CLOSE my account ... money is frozen/blocked. It's a bigger joke to actually go into the branch, reps will tell you something completely different than if you're able to talk to someone at their corporate clown car.

Calls go unanswered (6 days of attempts) system attempts to connect you to Citi call center which isn't working either. Closing accounts, by far the worst service in a bad industry

Worst bank ever TCF may be better! Put 1200 on the atm for them to tell us oh we are sorry but you have to wait 10 business days to get your money what kind of bank does that ? One that is bad and steals from the customers who keep it open! When we call all we get is people who speak no English and sound like a broken record I’m sorry I’m sorry please wait the 10 days STOP BANKING SO THEY CAN CLOSE DOWN THIS IS WRONG! And won’t give no credit or allow over draft even tho I have direct deposit!
