Wasted trip to CVS!My wife and I each needed a Hep B vaccine. A web search directed me to CVS and I then proceeded to make an appointment using their on-line scheduling website which had me fill out all of my personal and insurance information (it took a bit of time; but I figured they were being cautious to cover their bases). I even got a text confirming my appointment. So far, so good. Then we drive 20 minutes to the Nampa location (closest one that the website offered). Then we wait to check in for about 15 minutes because 1 person was handling a long line picking up and another person was on his phone. Finally someone comes to check us in for vaccine. After requesting my Medicare card AND insurance card (which I had previously entered on-line), she tells me that there is a problem with coverage. Needed pre-approval. Was not very helpful. Also said I could pay cash price if I wanted to get it now. Later said she was very busy. Why did the website give me an appointment and they didn't honor it?!

No wonder CVS is shutting down poor customer service and wait times either on phone or picking up prescriptions

They need more staff to cover the amount of people who get prescriptions. The wait lines are ridiculous. Waiting on hold on the phone for over 30mins. Meds not ready when they say they are. Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. They would improve with more staff.

Why would the website even give me an appointment after collecting all my data and then the store didn't honor it?! If they are short-staffed, the website should be adjusted accordingly.

Just being here with my wife, and observing, I have to say that this is the worst pharmacy I have ever experienced.Any one that gives them even 2 stars, is very generous. ?

I have been a CVS customer for many years. This review comes after six months of waiting in long lines, putting up with different lunch hours by the pharmacy to accommodate the staff, broken registers, lack of mutli-tasking to wait on customers, the pharmacy phone blaring there are multiple calls waiting and no one has time to catch the phone calls, shutting down at 6 pm now and if you are in line: too bad. I spent over an hour in line waiting to pickup my meds yesterday and it was the last straw. That is too long to wait to be waited on and when I finally got up to the window, I was informed my meds were on hold because of their software. The same meds I've taken for over five years, and the past six months, they are either out, on hold, have to be ordered. So, I wait in line, after receiving a text that everything is ready to go and be picked up, just to travel to CVS in Nampa, that has zero drive-thrus, have to park and walk in to a line that is wrapping around a shopping aisle, wait over an hour, and be told the meds are on hold. Again. I then went into another line of those in the same situation as I was in. I waited another 25 minutes. Meanwhile, the pharmacist is working her tail off, the tech is doing the same thing, and the customer service people have to put up with a broken register, and can't help anyone else, because they are too busy. I am a business person and I am all for incentives for managers but not in this case. CVS has forgotten who the customer is, does not provide seating for the long lines, and can't seem to fix the issues. One day they closed down everything and sent the entire staff to Boise, leaving all the customers without access. So, I changed pharmacies last night. If anyone is still using this pharmacy because insurance mandates it, they should complain. If customers have a choice, switch. Save yourself some time. I do not have 1 -1/2 hours to wait for my meds after I have been alerted they are ready.

Have been trying to reach by phone all week. No one answers. I have tried the app and automated system and not an option for what I need and yet no one answers ever.

On hold for over an hour. Finally gave up and decided to go in person. Absolutely unacceptable. I have been in the store while the phone rings incessantly and the people standing there doing NOTHING act as if they can't hear it. Take your business elsewhere. These people don't care.

the employees are kind but there’s lately been a 1 hr or longer wait

Line is always absurdly long and moves unreasonably slowly for no apparent reason. Literal half hour waits are normal.

I use CVS in target because it’s the only pharmacy my insurance covers. I have had an issue every time while trying to fill a simple thyroid prescription. I waited in line for 45+ minutes with only 4 people in front of me. My insurance tried to call them to talk about the issue and was on hold for an hour before they gave up and said I should go in to talk to them in person. Not looking forward to a long wait in line just to talk and not leave with a prescription even. The staff has been nice however. Please hire additional staff to help!! Maybe someone to answer phones so people don’t have to drive there every time for questions.
