The atmosphere was amazing inside. There are all kinds of books here for every reader. Even if you’re passing through the town, you won’t regret stopping by, even if you don’t buy anything. The owner was nice and polite.

Good used book store. Books are all in very good condition. For us, the used books were newer than we were looking for (1890's to 1950's). But still lots of newer used books.

Got some Louis L'Amour books here for $4-$6 and then went to the DI and found nearly the entire collection at $0.75 a pop. I felt ripped off but it's a good place when you are looking for something specific. Prices are high but good selection. Would come back again.

A fantastic selection of used books! The owner is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, prices have skyrocketed, turning this from a "pick up a few random books and see how they are" place to a "go in and look for a specific book you already want" place. It takes a lot of the fun away.

I love a good used book store, the more esoteric, the better. The Book Shelf is a wonderful space, but their inventory trends towards recent and mainstream literature. The person working was very knowledgeable about what they had on hand and was able to help with most customer inquiries while I was browsing.
