Best view to be had...

The room we stayed in was a dump. The beds are horribly uncomfortable, the shower rod was drooping, the couches are uncomfortable and one of them had a spring broken so it was even worse to sit on.The view was great. Access to the beach is easy. The pool is tiny and there was no AC in the room. I sweat all night

This is not really a resort. The front desk closes at five. Only one beach towel per person is allowed for the entire visit. If there's an after hours problem and you call for a assistance it goes to an answering service where no one actually answers. Items in the unit were broken or not working. For example, the bedroom light and free standing fan. The unit wasn't entirely clean. There were a few human hairs left in the bathtub shower. The bedroom had a bit of a funky smell. There is no air conditioning, the front door which opens to an open air hallway, has a locking screen door with a grate on it, so a crossbreeze can be created when the sliding door is open. Leaving the front door open gives up all privacy in the kitchen, dining room, living area of the unit, aa anyone walking down the hallway has a clear view in. The sliding door screen does not block and does not have a grate on it. I was on the second floor and it felt like it would be pretty easy for someone to gain access through the sliding door. On the upside, the view of the ocean is very good. It is difficult to have direct access to the beach as giant sandbags are piled up to try to prevent shoreline erosion. World mark is giving up the lease on the units at The Valley aisle in early 2024. I believe that that is the appropriate move on their part. While in my opinion, world mark doesn't necessarily have the highest standards for their property being that many of the properties are older and could stand to be refreshed., the general low level of service and overall condition of the unit here does not meet the world mark standard.

We are World mark owners, and have never been so disappointed in our condo. Large front burner didn’t work, furniture was so old that there were large lumps and bumps. Could hardly pull the lever for water in the bathtub. The bathroom sink stopper would not release to drain water. Screen door has faulty handle, so would not always release to let you out. Many cracks in patio window. We felt like we were put into the dumping area, where all throw away things go.

I was literally worried sick about coming here after reading reviews and our trip certainly was not ruined. I was pleasantly surprised about our oceanfront view and the fact there was a beach you could snorkel off of. Everything seemed clean (namely bathrooms and beds) and everything was in working order. We even had wifi that was free (I'm hoping Worldmark has finally started providing that for free at all locations). The lack of A/C was not a big deal, with the front screen door open (which locks), there was plenty of breeze to keep the room comfortable. The washer/dryer combo was huge and worked well. And the maintenance person was lovely. I'll explain why we had to use him...Upon arrival everything looked so clean and I was so relieved. After two days with us being extremely careful about cleaning up and not leaving food out we started seeing some tiny cockroaches. Okay fine, but then they got more plentiful and bigger. We contacted the front desk who got maintenance to come up relatively quickly who sprayed and put baits out. A couple days later we had more so another call to maintenance who tried some other means. We left three days later and in that time-no more bugs. I'm from Colorado-I don't do bugs, so should we expect to see some in Hawaii? Honestly, I'm not sure but I think the resort can do better. In terms of service, I am highly disappointed in how Worldmark is basically abandoning this property. Little details, especially in what you expect in quality from Worldmark is not there. We checked in before 5pm, but the fact that you even have to worry about timing seems a little nuts. We were given a set of beach towels and when asked where we could exchange for fresh ones we were told to wash them ourselves. Now I am perfectly capable of doing so and washed 3-4 times during our trip, but again for a "resort", this seems a little ridiculous. We still had a lovely trip, but Worldmark needs to do better with this property.

Awful service! We arrived a little after 5pm and the lobby desk was closed. A sign instructed us to call a number so that we could get our room # and we were on hold for 30 minutes. Once they give us our room number, we were instructed to punch in a number to a lock box that gave us a single room key. The entire process was confusing and frustrating to say the least. This place is way outdated, and wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here. Worldmark should embarrassed to have their name on this place. I refused to stay a second night.

PRAY YOU AVOID IT! This is the in-bread, red headed, stepchild with the "Catch-me-outside" attitude of the World Mark family. How they can subject their owners to this s&%it stain of a resort- motel is beyond comprehension. If you are lucky enough to have an elevator facing room you will have an amazing view of the beach, but thats THE ONLY upside to this dusty, run down, 1979 horror story, motel 666 disaster. Pay to get in, pray to get out; but before that, pray for wind because there is NO AC and a breeze blowing through your musty, leaky, sauna room will be all that can save you.If you can get past the mild heat stroke and night sweats prepare yourself for the 8am, 2-stroke motor symphony of lawn mowers and leaf blowers aimlessly puttering around to enjoy over coffee...if you can get any coffee that is. We asked for an additional $1 bag of coffee for our 2 bedroom suite with 4 adults and were VERY in-politely denied.Whatever your morning "pick-me-up" of choice, you will need your strength to fight the army of cocroaches swarming the fridge and cabinets.Towels? You get 1 each, you can wash them yourself. Working stove? Lol, 2 burners out if 4 isn't bad right? And if, for whatever reason you are so vacation happy that you can still muster a laugh at the end of the day - be sure to shut all that down by 9pm, please advise: Joy, laughter, general merriment of any kind is strictly prohibited. As for Island hospitality, don't hold your breath. Absolutely any question or request is a terrible inconvenience to the goof troop of manic depressive, narcissistic sociopaths running this place. They enter your room without even knocking, completely fabricate "complaints" just to harass you if you have irritated them in any way and should you need to call the front desk, be prepared to be hung up on like I was tonight after hearing "I'm done with you"Valley Isle? Mahal-NO!

World Mark? More like skid mark. Welcome to the slums! This is pergatory with a view. "Yay though I walk through the Valley Isle resort, I will fear no cocroach (and be there many) for Thou art with me" ~ Revel-vacations 1:87Looking for a punishing religious experience? Look no further. After just a few minutes in the Bangladesh sweatshop of a room you will be staying in, you will be praying to whatever higher power you identify with for a cool breeze and a moments relief. Yes, that's right NO AC (prepare to sweat like a wh&$re in church), and don't dare ask about that or anything else because that will be strike 1 with the gushtapo running the front desk. You are better off sleeping on a surfboard in open water with a bleeding legwound than in this roach motel where YOU are treated like the pest.Should you choose to go astray and venture into the roach infested abyss that is the Valley Isle resort, God help you!

If I got give negative-6 stars with a health and safety warning I would! It smelled so bad inside I though I got Covid. Everyone is EXTREMELY RUDE at the front desk with the Absolutely the most disgusting place I been to in all my 34 years. Cockroaches and ants covering the kitchen after the first night was the winning quality for me when compared to the puddle of smelly water coming from my fridge all night. I do not believe this place should even be open, let alone operating in the business of hospitality.DO NOT STAY HERE. Please avoid this place at all costs.

Plan on getting uncomfortably close with all the other guests. Everyone has to keep their doors and windows open here with fans going in order to keep the rooms at a survivable temperature. That means you hear and see EVERYTHING! Gassy baby down the hall? Enjoy the screams at 5am. Honey-mooners 2 floors up? Good thing that was over fast. Folks across the hall like to walk around in their fruit of the looms in order to withstand this heat or sleep in the buff? Enjoy the show or just keep your head down. In short, hot and awkward.

Really Worldmark, $165 mo. maintenance fees and torn couches, burnt countertops and leaking refrigerators meet your standard. I'm embarrassed for you, if you haven't been, "ripped off" by Worldmark yet, "Run!".

WARNING: Worst Wyndham Worldmark property ever!!!! Would give it a -10 if possible!!!(1) NO air conditioning in the entire building. No ventilation other than opening all doors & windows, but can’t lock front screen door.(2) rooms disgustingly dirty carpets(3) furniture old, falling apart. Likely from the 1960’s. Cushions all worn out and uncomfortable.(4) leaking bathtub faucet that they were aware of and won’t fix because they have to shut the entire building off (no shut offs in any rooms)(5) black mold by the shower in the 2nd bathroom(6) windows in 2nd bedroom don’t open properly(7) no peep hole in entrance door (safety and security issue!)(8) light weight residential entry screen door that can’t be locked due to age and bent (refused to replace). Other units have actual locking security screen doors.(9) beds all old and worn out(10) no true beach access(11) clothes dryer vents into the room adding to the heat & humidity(12) Box fan provided was so disgustingly dirty it could not be used(13) no outdoor furniture by the beach.(14) no maid services, have to change sheets and linens and clean unit ourselves.(15) no concierge, no services. Front desk only open from 9-5.(16) bugs in beds!!!Overall, the WORST timeshare property we have EVER seen or stayed at!! We brought friends with us to introduce them to Worldmark and from this experience, they will NEVER stay or buy any Wyndham Worldmark properties.DO NOT EVER STAY AT WYNDHAM WORLDMARK VALLEY ISLE! THIS IS NOT A RESORT, IT IS A DUMP!!!!

Just got back from a week's stay at the Valley Isle, rented a Worldmark 2 BR unit which was pretty large by Hawaii standards and had a fabulous ocean view. FYI, Worldmark doesn't own the resort just manages a couple of dozen units there. Our room was very clean, well equipped and slept the 5 of us just fine. There was no A/C in any of the rooms but there was always a constant strong breeze because you're right on the beach and also several ceiling fans so we never felt uncomfortable. You're not going to get the amenities here like room service that you would in the ritzy resorts but the view is definitely 5-stars and the location can't be beat! Lots of eateries, bars and even a mini-market nearby that we walked to. Would definitely return for another stay!
