I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ritz-Carlton Maui, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff were incredibly attentive and made every guest in our party feel like royalty. From the moment we arrived, their warm hospitality and dedication to service were evident. The facilities were top-notch, featuring luxurious rooms, pristine pools, and well-maintained grounds that showcase the natural beauty of Maui.
The views from the resort were nothing short of spectacular. Whether gazing out at the ocean from our balcony or enjoying the stunning sunsets by the beach, every moment was picture-perfect. The Ritz-Carlton Maui also hosted our convention, and their impeccable organization and attention to detail ensured it was a stellar event. Every aspect, from the catering to the meeting spaces, was handled flawlessly, making it a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Maui was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. Joy, who welcomed us upon arrival, set the tone for our entire stay with her friendly demeanor and genuine hospitality.
The food at the hotel was a true highlight. Every meal was a culinary delight, thanks to the talented chef and the dedicated staff in the lounge. They went above and beyond to ensure our dining experiences were memorable. The variety and quality of the dishes were outstanding, and it was evident that great care and passion went into every plate served.
The staff at The Ritz-Carlton, Maui truly made our stay enjoyable. They were attentive, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. Whether it was recommending activities, attending to our needs, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, they consistently exceeded our expectations.

Everything about this stay was relaxing. We were greeted with a Lei and fresh juice, and the room was actually ready upon arrival. The property is clean, beautiful, and the rooms are updated. Poolside service, direct access to the beach! Hands down, the star of the show was the food prepared by Chef Donovan. We are already planning a return trip.

I was in Maui for a work trip and was lucky to have a few extra days to have the true Hawaiian getaway I've been dreaming about!!
Both of my parents have stayed at many resorts on Maui, but their favorite is the Ritz-Carlton in Kapula. It is truly a getaway from the rest of the island (being an hour from the airport and Wailea which is where I stayed for work). The Ritz has impeccable service and amenities, as with any location - valet car service, luggage transport, room service, etc.. Being only a Marriott Gold member, I wasn't expecting an upgrade to my room. I originally booked 3 nights for a resort view king room with Lanai, but when I got there, I was upgraded to a king suite, living room, 2-lanai and ocean view!! Thank you to the Ritz-Carlton team.
The resort is very spread out and there are a bunch of activities to do. Obviously, the pool is the highlight. There are open chairs anywhere and free to occupy. There are also cabanas for rent. Free mineral sunscreen is provided around the pool, as well as refillable water stations (they're located all over the hotel). The three pools and accompanying jacuzzis are nice. The DT Fleming beach is just down the path from the pool - it's a nice little beach with a view of the other islands. Towels are provided at the beach as well. On the other side of the pathway (about a 5 or so min walk) is a rock formation called Dragon's Pointe. It has a very unique rock formation along with stunning views of the surf. I highly recommend spending some time around the resort.
The breakfast at the hotel is good! I ate a short rib hash with fried egg over rice. It was delicious. Though I can only speak for the breakfast, the taste of that dish makes me think the lunch and dinner options are also good. There are some other superb restaurants around the Kapalua area, like Merriman's which I highly recommend.
The one thing about this hotel is that it's far away from the airport and other destinations on Maui like Wailea. If you want a truly luxurious, serene, beach oasis escape, or if you love to play golf, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is for you. I had a beautiful stay here and I hope you will too!

Rooms: Rooms are a bit older, but still very nice and well maintained. Ritz-Carlton beds and pillows are always very comfortable!
Walkability: Ritz is part of the Kapalua resort system. There's shuttles to different Kapalua properties (not directly affiliated with the hotel), but, I'd recommend walking as it's a beautiful stroll!
Noteworthy details: Free mineral sunscreen is at the pool (spf 30 and 50) with a soothing lotion. Definitely lather up (even if it's cloudy), you will get burned!
Water stations are throughout the Ritz-Carlton property. Bring your reusable water cup!

For the price you pay ($2,000 or more), the hotel is horrible by any means.
1. The service is terribe. You hardly find someone to help you when ypu have a question. The huge resprot would have one perosn in front desk counter most of the time.
2. You have to be really smart to get around the hotel and its amneities. It is more likt a Maze. You need 2-3 days before you know where you are going.
3. Your room is Floor 6. But you have to press 7 on elevator button.
4. The restrauant food price is huge rip-off like ythey are robbery. You would spend $150 on dinner for a small portion of stuff.
5. The room is so tiny. Everything is squeezed. No microwave, no enough electrical outlets to charge phone. The outlets are in the middle of room and hard to use. Such bad detailing in the room.
6. Overall, it is a bad hotel.

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua provided an unforgettable luxury experience for our family vacation in Hawaii. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warm aloha spirit and impeccable service that defines this renowned resort. The staff demonstrated genuine care by addressing us by name and extending kindness and hospitality at every opportunity. Our residential suite was incredibly spacious and beautifully appointed, with a serene color palette evoking the island's natural beauty
The kids particularly loved the Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ambassadors of the Environment program, with its eco-tours and activities fostering appreciation for nature. The family went on the coastal hike along Maui's scenic trails, learning about the island's unique geology, plants and animals from the knowledgeable naturalist guides. The "Fires of Pele" activity allowed them to discover the origins of Hawaiian culture by exploring ancient lava flows and volcanic formations. They also did the "Turtle Tracks" program, though they didn't see any turtles they loved learning about their important role in the ecosystem.
Unfortunately, toward the end of our stay, a corporate group arrived for the National Life Group's President's Club event. Their loud gatherings and rowdy behavior around the resort grounds and pool areas disrupted the otherwise tranquil atmosphere. The resort staff were very professional and offered us club level access for the remainder of our stay, which gave us some seclusion; however, the excessive noise from this group put a damper on our final days.

Staying at the Ritz-Carlton in Maui is like being wrapped in a luxurious Hawaiian lei that costs as much as a down payment on a modest Canadian home. The moment you step into the lobby, you’re greeted with a level of elegance that whispers, “Yes, you’ve made it to the upper echelons of vacationing.”
The service here is impeccable. The staff anticipate your every need with the precision of a Swiss watch. I swear, they must have a sixth sense. Forgot your sunscreen? No worries, one of the attendants will appear out of thin air, SPF 50 in hand. Considering Maui's sun can turn a Canadian lobster-red in minutes, this is nothing short of miraculous.
The rooms are a masterpiece of comfort and style, designed to make you feel like Hawaiian royalty. The beds are so comfortable you’ll start questioning why you ever bothered sleeping anywhere else. It’s as if a team of angels descended and fluffed the pillows with the clouds of Olympus. And let’s not even start on the linens – I’m fairly certain they were spun from the silk of Maui's own mythical silkworms.
The view from the balcony is something straight out of a postcard. Picture this: the gentle sound of waves lapping against the shore, palm trees swaying in the breeze, and a sunset so breathtaking that it makes even the most stoic Canadian shed a tear. You’ll be tempted to bottle the scenery and take it home with you, though that’s probably against customs regulations.
Dining at the Ritz-Carlton is an experience unto itself. The breakfast buffet is a smorgasbord of delights that range from tropical fruits to pastries so delicate they practically dissolve on your tongue. Dinner is an affair where each dish is presented with the artistry of a Louvre exhibit. And yes, the prices are as haute as the cuisine, but every bite is worth its weight in gold-plated macadamia nuts.
The amenities are, of course, second to none. The infinity pool makes you feel as though you’re floating on the edge of paradise. The spa? Pure bliss. After a massage here, I felt as if I’d been transported to a realm of zen that only a combination of Maui magic and Ritz-Carlton mastery could create.
In summary, the Ritz-Carlton in Maui offers an experience so luxurious that you’ll feel compelled to upgrade every aspect of your life upon returning home. Sure, your wallet may be a bit lighter, but the memories and the feeling of utter relaxation and indulgence are worth every penny. So go ahead, embrace the opulence and let the Ritz-Carlton show you what paradise really feels like.

The absolute best hotel in all or Maui. I have stayed in resorts in Wailea, and west maui Kaanapali but this time I came back just to stay here 2nd time. It is very private and not surrounded by umpteen other resorts and hotels. The grounds are beautiful, private beach, and friendly customer service all around. Very family friendly as well.
